  1. That's very cool of D&T. I need to order a few ar15 lowers and possibly a mosin nagant set rifle and revolver. Looks like I will be doing that there. Is it possible to order more than one firearm on the same transfer if they are coming from the same place? Not really sure how online transfers work...
  2. Woah now, are you tryin to give the poor man a heart attack? Hey, you know why he puts the J. in Yngwie J. Malmsteen don't you? To separate himself from all the other Yngwie Malmsteens out there. If you open for Yngwie, you are contractually obligated to not speak to, look at, or talk about Yngwie back stage at the show. Not that it matters, he demands half the green rooms and never even leaves the bus until it's time to go on. Oh yeah, it's all about Def Lepard, .38special, and them dudes from the Rocky soundtrack. "rising up to the challenge of his rivals" See if that don't get you going. Oh almost forgot, crank up some ABBA. "Dancing queen, dancing queen look at the dancing queen" something like that.
  3. First complaint I have read for CHMR, it wasn't Charlie himself I'm sure? Weekends are a bit crowded but hey, your bound to have crowds most places I imagine. I'd be up for a meet'n greet or a range day. It would be great to put a face to some names, also I love me some pancakes so win win for me either way.
  4. Ditto what others have said, truly excellent work you can be proud of.
  5. One possibile course of action I have not heard mentioned would be to try involving your credit card company/bank. Assuming you made the purchase with plastic that is. You may repeat MAY be able to get them to back you up from the sound of your complaint. Certainly worth a try at the least, even if it IS a long shot.(no pun intended) Good luck.
  6. 8 bucks at cool springs if anybody's interested. At least they were last week when I was there.
  7. Really liking the way that looks with the muzzle brake. You do very good work. Are you a craftsman by trade or are these skills you have picked up as a hobby? Either way, big thumbs up. Looks killer.
  8. Unfortunately quiet possibly true, Los Angeles...1992? Like many things mob "justice" is just one of those things that will never go away. It breeds itself in ignorance and misplaced loyalty often based on race.
  9. Buddy of mine gave me his after ramming it through his hand doing something stupid. A real " hey watch this" moment. Anywho, great knife so far, very firm lockup, handy tools, and pretty sharp out of the box. Just ask my friend. One thing to keep an eye on is the bolts holding the pocket clip on, they can get loose after a bit and they just don't tighten up real well after that.
  10. I too have been interested in these for a while. If they are accurate enough for soda cans at the 50yard mark, that's good enough for me. Graycrait, when you say the idea of dropping it made you nervous, do you mean anymore so than any firearm with plastic hardware? Aside from the front sight is anything else found seriously wanting?
  11. Thank you for including that, you sir are clearly a gentleman and a scholar. There have been a few threads I have wanted to post conflicting opinions on but just haven't not wanting to rock the boat. Personally I think it's very important to express disagreement with others, in a polite respectful manner. You may end up with the right food for thought to change your mind on an issue, or you may just reaffirm what you've thought all along. Have a good night folks.
  12. The truth in the first part of your statement saddens me. As for the second part... Really? Arrested for swearing? Taking part in a fashion unpopular with most everyone who doesn't take part. That warrants an arrest? <sigh>
  13. Please don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning negative behavior from kids teens or anyone. I can see where you are coming from and in the event I were in your shoes I would probably feel similar too. My point (sometimes I have a hard time getting those across) is that kids are kids and will behave as such. Wearing baggy clothes or baseball caps does not cause crime any more than handguns cause crime, as far as the vulgarity... Well I don't have all the answers. One thing to consider is once your children reach a certain age they are probably hearing and saying just as bad on the playground at school as they will in any mall. Possibly children under a certain age just shouldn't be in places like that. Kind of harsh but hey it is IMPOSSIBLE and IMO unwise to even try to shelter children forever. One thing my father always told me growing up when situations like this would happen is " see that guy, you want to know why he talks that way? He doesn't know any more intelligent way to express himself, he's an idiot." That kind of lesson has stuck with me alot longer than the urge to swear in public. Maybe the curfew is the right thing to do, kids can do their thing during the day and the mall can "clean up" in the evenings for family time. I still think punishing everyone for the actions of some is messed up, but as I previously posted they (the mall officials) can do what they like, it's their right and I wouldn't have it any other way. I just prefer to spend money with those not treading on the first amendment. Sorry if my opinion is the unpopular one, hopefully we all can continue with a fair, open minded discussion.
  14. I saw a couple of guns but I must not of noticed any firearms. Wait, what was she saying again?
  15. Ok, that's just funny stuff right there! As far as that whatever the heck it is goes, it looks like idea of a nightmare amp. Treble, mid, bass, volume, done. Even better when properly executed, volume, tone, further more I needeth not.
  16. Personally I think it's kind of a crock. I'm in my mid-late twenties and can vividly remember going to the the mall just to hang out and B.S with my buddies as a teenager. Where we loud, vulgar and obnoxious? You bet. IMO better there than hanging out walking the streets or as has been mentioned cruising the streets behind the wheel. Safer too. These days it takes quite alot of incentive to get me in one of those places but that has alot less to due with kids being kids and alot more to do with poor selection and pricing than being nervous about the criminal atmosphere real or perceived. A private business has the right to make decisions I don't agree with but this just adds one more place I won't be spending my money with. I already have a hard time with the mall in Cool Springs, it's one thing to have a dress code another thing altogether to selectively choose who has to follow it which I have seen first hand. Opry Mills? Don't get me started, I just hope those Metro officers are working on their time and not enforcing a privately mandated dress code on the tax payers dime. Pretty soon the ever popular Wally world parking lot will be banned as well. Then it's back to the cruising for the young folks.
  17. ...... Oh......Uh, no. That does sort of make sence though. I thought it was more of a " he doesn't know any better" or something along those lines. Oh well. Bless their hearts, all those that think were better off with Romney(sp?don't really care) or Obama, no offense to Dr. Paul.
  18. I'm in kind of in the same boat. I really enjoy the environment Charlie has going on there, but I too would love to shoot something a bit more interactive than sporting clays from time to time. The fact that I've got a box of tannerite just sitting in my closet isn't helping matters any. Even a good silhouette range would be an excellent addition.
  19. I just can't seem to find a $100 Garand. I've searched high and low, so far to no avail. Any one with a lead gimme a heads up.
  20. Ron Paul will never be an American president. People er sheeple are afraid of the truth of the situation we have have dug ourselves into. Dr. Paul, bless his heart just won't lie enough to get the votes.
  21. I'd have an easier time showing public support for the Preds (who ARE having an amazing season) if it wherent for all the smack I hear about Detroit. It's called sportsmanship for a reason. Having said that I do hope they take the cup this year, they have done a 180 over the past few years and are playing their hearts out.
  22. Good advise, better than a match and tweezers for sure. I have heard a q-tip with a gob of Vaseline would do the trick as well.
  23. FWIW, I'm out in Nashville with nothing going on next week, I'd be happy to help out and meet a fellow TGO'er. You pay gas, maybe we get to try out your new toy... Let me know if I can help.
  24. Personally I think that's pretty B.A. If the finish matched that would be all the sweeter.
