In Ca the total can be up to $35. I forget off the top of my head what amount goes to the state and what amount the store. No real point to the post, but anything cheaper than $35.... I'm just glad to be here. Try looking for a TGO vendor in your neck of the woods. I'm sure they'd do right by you.

Just based on aesthetics, I must say I preffer the coonan. I'm seriously considering one of these over the RI .38super I had previously picked out as my "someday" gun. I figure the difference in ammo price and availability would easily make the difference pay off.

I'm in kind of the same boat with my GP100. I bought it off a buddy of mine when he needed some quick cash and even though it's a great gun I just can't seem to love it. The two things that make me keep it are my buddy always asking if I like it, and the fact that he never shot it. I got a screaming deal on basically a brand new revolver. I guess I'll just keep it laying around until I figure out how to make it more appealing to me. Maybe the hogue grip?

Thank you for the service to our nation.

This. Also at least worth mentioning, the original "salute" for the POA was very similar to the one used by the Nazi party. Doesn't neccaserily mean anything but interesting none the less. Anyway, back to the OP, I appreciate the sentiment and thought that went into the post, however IMO no amount of prayer will do anything fir our current situation. I don't claim to know what we do need, but I'm pretty sure it does not lay in religion nor blind devotion to our nations leaders, past, present, or future. IMHO, YMMV.

There is a pretty good article in the shotgun news treasury about the new ones. Definitely has my interest piqued. For someone like me considering their first 1911 I like the fact that I wouldnt have to start buying a new caliber of round just to feed one gun.

1. Pretty much all the lawyer commercials. They just suck on ice. I could write a better commercial in my sleep. 2. Any insurance commercials without that Flow lady. She's hot, she should be in all commercials. 3. Tractor supply Co. Ok we get it, you don't sell tractors. 4. Visit California commercials. I don't wanna. I grew up there and can honestly say I've never surfed, tried snow boarding only once (those things are death traps) 4x4ing in the desert is fun though. 5. Any car dealership without a pet gorilla named spot. Is Cal Worthington out here? 6. Mountain Dew. Drink a bottle of that as fast as they do on the adds and you won't want to "Dew" anything. Except maybe spew.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. I was mildly interested when I found out they can and will machine their own parts, however the whole thing went down hill pretty fast. In fairness it's hard too tell when/where reality stops and the producers script begins at times. I highly doubt the guy was flying in a helicopter to make sales or purchases before the network started picking up the tab. As I highly doubt someone actually paid $10,000 for a colt clone with a little bit of gold leaf and some minor engraving. Anyone who knows is aware the real deal can be had for around the same, but the people producers are conveying the image too have no idea. It also pissed me off finding out the daughter wasn't even legal yet.

My buddy's dad has a pretty complete set. 9mm pistol and carbine, .22 pistol and carbine. He's had them since one could legally procure them in Ca. From my understanding the magazines feed fine, the only issue isloading them takes forever. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to pass them along and see what he says. Very cool guns.

Neat little Kershaw on sale at Wally World for $8
TrickyNicky replied to JimmyMac483's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
That's all she wrote folks. All my extras are spoken for and walmart is sold out. -
Sounds good. All my interactions to date with LE have been similar. I've gotten tickets before, but hey I earned them. Can't fault a man for doing his job. My best encounter was while traveling from Ca to Tn, got stopped by the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics for "tailgating". I knew what was happening right off the bat, as a long hair like me traveling with Ca plates is exactly why they are there. We chatted a bit, he asked if I wouldn't mind stepping out and sitting in his car, I suspect so his dog could get a good whiff of me with out getting out of the canine area. All went smoothly he asked where I was headed, ran my license, and had me back on the road after maybe ten minutes. While I don't agree with profiling, the officer was very professional and friendly to boot.

Naw, be sure to set a timer so you can time how long he spends shopping for this great new app though.

Father of 30 kids by 11 women can't pay child support
TrickyNicky replied to mcurrier's topic in General Chat
Personally wouldn't mind helping the kids, it's not their fault they where born of that dead beat. He on other hand should receive a non negotiable work sentence picking up garbage seven days a week. Sounds like he is familiar with trash. Why seven? Why not? From what we are hearing coupled with what Dolomite has to say, IMO the LAST thing we should want is him "raising" his kids. As someone who has needed social services (unemployment) it makes me upset to see people abuse what should be a good thing. -
+1 sounds like something Joseph Smith would have come up with. No offense to any Mormons on here.

Forgot instructions. Mix two ounces olive oil with two ounces lemon juice and chug it down following with a large glass of water. Cranberry juice you just drink as normal, and honestly I have no idea about the vinegar just read that it helps. Good luck buddy.

A friend of the family's suffered from numerous stones about five years ago. She had it BAD from my understanding. She's a pretty tough lady and it had her damn near bedridden. You may try a few homeopathic remedies after consulting your doctor. Remedies include, olive oil and lemon juice, cranberry juice, and red apple vinegar. Hope this helps, let us know how this comes out. Pun intended.

... So, have bat will travel? Let's print you up some cards and start callin you Paladin. Ok pretty lame even by my standards, but hey what was I supposed to do?

^ thanks for the heads up. I'll have to check them out and see what they have.

Check out you tube. There is a video put up by a guy named Iraqveteran I believe. They do some pretty fun stuff including loading up sone dimes in a shell and blowing a sizable hole into a sheet of plywood. They also show how to make a "slug" by cutting the shell almost all the way around about halfway down the shell. Pretty neat stuff though I can't speak one way or the next about the safety of it all.

Really terrible stuff here. IMO often time in crimes against women children or animals an eye for eye would probably do wonders deterring true human scum. I wonder how mister horse trainer would feel with his ankles smeared with caustic chemicals then wrapped with plastic and chains. Oh oh plus we could charge for the privilege of zapping him with a bull prod. $2.00 a zap, three for $5.00

Just went ahead and fixed that for ya. What's really unfortunate is this guy is probably much more likely to hurt or kill someone else than himself, I can just see it already. As far as impersonating an officer goes he will most likely be fine unless he does something which can be construed as an official act from an LEO. Just having it will likely present no problems, if he where to be involved in a shooting and it was deemed fair and clean he would probably be fine as well from what I understand. The problem would be if he where to say pull along side a vehicle, start waving the badge at the driver and demanding him/her to pull over or start frisking people or something of that nature. If I'm not mistaken so long as his actions would not make a reasonable person believe he was an officer he would be good. Well as good as he's likely to be anyway. I may be mistaken and I'm sure someone will correct me. Personally I think the badges might be a decent idea to a certain extent, I have always wondered what the reaction of one permit holder witnessing a shooting involving another would be. Scenario: You and your sig other are out shopping at your local mall/walmart/grocery store. Just as you are stepping out the door you see a man/woman pull out a gun and shoot someone. You have no idea what happened to start the altercation, all you have seen is the shooting itself. So there you are looking at a person holding a weapon standing over the person he has just shot while looking around in all directions on the verge of panic. What's your reaction? Do you assume there is a threat to you and your loved one and clear your own weapon, assume the shooter is an LEO or permit holder and just hang back and try to be a good witness or what? Not saying the badge would necessarily help, just that under certain circumstances it might. Either way I think this guy needs to have his permit revoked and have a little one on one time with a shrink. My two favorite parts which work so well together, "I'm not saying I wanna be no John Wayne or nothing" + "sometimes you know, you have to be Clint Eastwood"

Neat little Kershaw on sale at Wally World for $8
TrickyNicky replied to JimmyMac483's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I forgot all about this. After picking up some extra for me and mine, I've got one select fire and two crowns up for grabs for the first lucky TGOers to claim them. Limit one per member to help them go around. All I ask is two things, first reimbursement for the cost of the knife and exsact shipping cost to you. (I would also be willing to drive about an hour or so out of Nashville to meet face to face)The knifes cost me $5 a piece with approximately $0.50 extra for the man. Second thing would be to double check your local walmart to make sure the deal is not available to you locally. That way the people who would have to spent time and money trying to save a few bucks can catch a brake. First come first serve, please let me know through PMs to keep the thread somewhat uncluttered. EDIT: select fire and one crown spoken for. If you had your heart set on a select fire pm me and I'll go check the shelves. If there is much interest I may be willing to "invest" some of my tax refund to get some more. Let me know guys. Mods; if you feel this should be moved, or even not allowed due to my lack of premium membership please do so. Keep in mind please I am not seeking any profit, just trying to help some folks save some cash. Thanks. -
+1. Though I'd rather see one in person and for sale. I've been looking for a pump .22 at a reasonal price for a while now. I keep going back and forth on if I should either just drop the money on a Henry or keep looking and "settle" for a used Rossi or Taurus. This sounds like a great compromise.

MILITARY VET’S GUNS CONFISCATED BY D.C. POLICE
TrickyNicky replied to JohnC's topic in General Chat
In a better world you would be correct. Unfortunately or fortunately depending on which foot the shoe is on, a state does have the right to allow or banish certain elements the people or leaders of the state have chosen. Same reason I can give no valid reason to visit D.C or N.Y. I probably won't be passing through Ma either for that matter. They have made it very clear they don't want me or my money and that's that. Still a damn shame though. Especially for a veteran. -
Very nice, dispelling a popular myth while providing some potentially VERY important information. Thanks and good job!
