  1. Pic is not working for me?   Damnit, I wanna see! This sounds like the perfect inspiration for the narcocorrido I'm writing.
  2. Damn, look at that face, it's distraught! Not even a bear wants to be compared to a pig like that. /Drops mic/
  3. Sorry for your loss Ben, I'm glad he got to have his say and is at peace.
  4. I might go see it theaters, if I do I'll go in costume and just weld a funnel to the end of my P1. That'll look like some kinda space gun, right?   Should I paint the tip orange?   Seriously, they can wand me all they want, as long as they don't mind me making lightsaber noises at the top of my voice every time they move the metal detector. Maybe I can start a duel...
  5. Meh, they already fingerprint you for ammo sales in LA county, see how well that solved the violence there? Why a fellow could almost stroll through Watts at midnight these days.
  6. If you are still looking, I'd vote Jeff at Guns and Leather. a bit of a drive, but he's a great smith and a great guy. Tom over at Lock Stock and Barrel has a good reputation from what I've read and they are a little closer to you, you might also try calling them up.
  7. go to youtube and find a video. Go up to the browser bar and copy it, then paste it here.      Should look like this without the space in youtube.   https://www.you tube.com/watch?v=fK9hK82r-AM    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fK9hK82r-AM
  8. I was laughing my ass off on this one, very well done.
  9. Instead of trying to demystify the murkiest of waters, call my guy Paul over at Martin B. Rettings. (310) 837-2412   If he's not there just tell whoever answers the phone that you are from TN and have a question regarding shipping a weapon for a private sale and then tell them all about it, they'll tell you real fast if you are G2G or not.
  10. I like Carnikcon and Forgotten Weapons.    Here is the FW guy showing off the Pancor Jackhammer. Try and find another, you won't. Some really really cool stuff coming out of his channel IMO.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VKGhqIl4Gw
  11. Dude is full of horse shoes from what I can see in my FFL regulations guide. I'll do a more through search and hopefully one or some of our vetted dealers here can clarify, but the whole thing seems super fishy to me. He's advising you that the sale is a crime, yet encouraging you to commit said crime by... selling it to him. Only for $100 less than advertised.     Riiiiiiiggggghhhhht. That makes perfect sense in crazy land.*     Now I will say I would personally spend the couple of bucks fixing the safety before I sold it, but then again thats in part because I too would low ball the hell out someone selling a broken  gun. I wouldn't try to piss down their neck and tell them it was raining, but I wouldn't buy one like that for anything less than a serious discount, existence of kits for pistols and all.           *Crazy Land.  Population: That guy.
  12. The SIP plan sounds like something concocted by someone from marketing, accounting, and HR came up with, NOT something that anyone with a background in or even rudimentary understanding of physical or personal security. I'd smile and nod and go though the motions for drills, but SHTF and I'm out.
  13.     I've got the otis stuff and I like the method fine, but honestly I'm looking at redoing my cleaning supplies in the next little while and when I do I will be throwing the otis kit in a rang bag in favor of traditional rods and possible a few bore snakes. YMMV, but for me the Otis is too much of a pita to deal with anymore with all the swapping of heads, taking the pulling handle out, threading the cable through, putting the handle back in, the cable getting covered in gunk which translates quickly to hands covered with gunk.... No, just no. No mas por favor.       Congrats on the beautiful rifle btw and very nice story to boot. It's nice that yo can enjoy ownership and your fathers company at the same time.
  14. Very nice! I've had an older Police Positive from the late 30's and it was still a shooter when I sold it back to the guy I bought it from 5 years or so ago. Really cool guns, but he missed it and I had acquired grandpas Official Police by then so whats a guy to do?   Those Colt wheel guns will get under your skin to be sure, the trigger pull is ridiculous and they are just a hoot to shoot. I doubt they could put out a stock gun with a SA trigger pull like that without the corporate lawyers just going monkey shit these days.
  15.     I hear ya K, but consider this:     If we loose, we're right back where we are.     But what if we win?
  16. Obama? :stunned:
  17.   Yeah, I tend to stickout a bit sometimes too. If I can make it we'll be an easy group to spot.       Awesome, I'll bring mine too. I haven't had a chance to try it out since we took it out that one time, but I think I got the cycling issues fixed so it will be good to see whats what. I have some scopes to sight in too so I'm starting to get pumped lol.
  18. Nice rig dude! GJ makes some really top notch stuff, I have a few mag carriers from him and looking forward to some holsters when I can either drop some guns off with him for a bit and have some spare cash to burn through. My dad has one of the mag carriers and he's a really picky guy when it comes to leather, he was knocked out by the quality for the money. You guys don't know him, but thats as ringing an endorsement as I need.
  19. I will try and make it next week if I can. I should be (hopefully) starting a new job next week so that will be the kicker for me.    Ted and I can take turns making excuses for the others shooting... Maybe I'll try and convince everyone that my AR is firing buck shot and those are good groups.
  20. Do they exist, or don't they?     Sharks!     Jets!     Sharks!!     Jets!11!         Sorry, just he'd to let off a bit of steam, this topic always gets my blood boiling.     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13OoNe51Vx8
  21.     Through the Swiss Guard* and other private security.      *Those dudes with the funny pants, hats and halberds. My understand that if/when SHTF, the halberds go down and the guns come out.
  22. Good video, Katy is a smart cookie and quite a looker to boot. I can watch her talk all day!
  23. I never have and got the flu only once that I can recall as a child. I never gave much thought to it as my immune system seems to work abnormally well, I seldom get sick and kick infections usually in a week or less and rarely need antibiotics.    With that in mind I have never given any thought on how it may effect others if I am a carrier of sorts. I'll have to think it over a bit more, but at least I see a point to doing it now when I never had before.
  24. I believe every word that fruity englishman has to say. I have long been designing my ideal house to build one day. One of the primary features is a toilet with at least 3' of clearance on either side so I can have a toilet guitar for those thought provoking long sessions, the other is a set of ape hangers and elevated foot pegs for when I've gorged on too much chicken fried steak.
