I think we have a winner!

I'd go colt. I like S&W and all I just think of old Colts as a step above. Having said that the only intelligent way to make your choice is to take them both out at the same time and run a few rounds through em both. Done that way you'll definitely make te right choice.

Great read, I miss my mutt.

You know, I sure hope when the Nashville Armory opens up they do a few things. A. Join up here as vendors supporting the forum. B. Read the posts and take a lesson on how NOT to run their business. C. Bring the local market down to a reasonable level. I think the only reason gun shops even try to get away with their prices is because the local market has already shown they will abide them. Thank goodness there are still a few willing to compete with internet pricing. In the meantime, try G&L or D&T. From what I hear they will make you a happy camper.

Charlie Sheen to donate minimum of $1M to USO, troop morale
TrickyNicky replied to TMF's topic in General Chat
That's one million more than he has to give. I'd be willing to bet that's also more money than any ten forum members here have given. I personally like Charlie Sheens attitude. Alot of people in his position do similar or even worse things in life but at least he's honest about it and doesn't try to make himself a role model when he isn't one. Ina way he's just one big ol' walking talking PSA. -
I can understand not wanting to name names. How about this, was the store in question located in Franklin?
-
Nice work Aaron, some classy photos of a classy gent. Charlie is a great guy, I remember meeting him last January while out here on a vacation and being impressed with the passion he has for the club as well as the great attitude he runs it with. I used to feel really special when my brother would call and say he'd been asking after me, wondering when I was moving back to town, then I realized he's got to be on a first name basis with most everyone who shoots there.
-
Thanks Jonnin, guess we'll just have to try to find one to rent or otherwise use. If all she can do is shoot it SA might as well get a single six.
-
You've obviously never been to a piñata party in Pacoima. Seriously though, it really makes you wonder what else a guy like this could get away with. I don't know what's more disgusting, his behavior or the fact that apparently it goes unpunished.

Just throw something out there, if your looking for a real sweet shooting revolver for fun shooting why not look for a colt official police? Sweet sweet shooting guns, accurate, reliable, super nice single and double action, and relatively cheap to boot. Actually I take back what I said earlier about a smith being the sweeted revolver I've shot, don't know how but I forgot all about the OP. Seriously, best idea ever.

That sounds pretty extreme to me. I'd even say extremely retarded but that would be unfair to all the learning disabled/mentally handicapped folks out there. Most of whom would probably find this crap laughable.

Meh, I still say wrap em in paper mâché, tie em from a tree in the barrio, hand out bats and tell the kids there's candy inside.
-
I like em especially the last one. Don't want turn this into a debate but IMHO the people who think anythings better than what we have may be in for a hell of a shock.
-
Good deal, I saw him at the Nashville show awhile back and wanted to stop by and chat. Only problem was I don't reload yet and he was busy as heck. Sounds like you had fun and that's always good.
-
Welcome aboard! Southerners treat us yanks pretty good, a little ribbing from the locals but it's all in fun. Almost as important as finding a new range is finding yourself a BBQ joint.

That guy doesn't deserve any charges against him. He deserves a couple of broken knees, and right around the time he's learning to walk again someone should drive a tent stake through his foot and beat his ass around in a circle. Being a judge maybe he would be madder than most but this guys sick. I got caught doing way worse crap as a teen and had to face down my police chief father and he may have been angrier than most but he never would have dreamed about doing this to one of his children. Mom would have shot him on the spot anyway if he had. Absolutely disgusting behavior from someone who should know better.
-
That's pretty clever. I dont buy it for a second but it's clever. Correct me if I'm wrong but I've never seen any 357 ammo branded as S&W ONLY. Having said that out of all the revolvers I've shot certainly the finest was a smith. Blackhawks are capable of just as crisp a trigger in my expierience but then again your talking two different beasts with the SAO or SA/DA. At the end of the day my GP100 can easy double as a hammer/impact weapon and I'm happy with it.

I do not think that this is real Don't believe me? Here's the deal Dr Suess has long been dead But despite this fact I like what I've read It's truth you speak and speak in rhyme Thank you very much for finding this find

Just sent in C&R application
TrickyNicky replied to TrickyNicky's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Well it came in today, exactly one month to the day. I'm thinking Nagant, Nagant revolver, and p38/p1 all in one shipment to try to save on shipping costs. Anyone know if I have to pay sales tax if the seller is out of state? Do I have to wait for my bound book or can I just save the info and input it once the book gets here? Might actually be moot as I will order the book before or around the same time I place my gun order. I understand I should be getting some kind of information packet shortly, do I need to wait for that? Lastly where would any of you recommend looking for everything in my list? I can find a vendor for everything in shotgun news but no one seems to have everything. Sorry for all the questions, I'm really freaking excited! -
Dang Dolomite, thats looking all Frankenstieny. Glad it's healing up nicely. Jonnin, some of those kitchen knives can be down right unnessacerily sharp.

I'm just here for the conversation myself.

My mom has been looking at one of those Taurus .22s My only reservations have been Taurus repair service's spotty reputation and I had heard the trigger was sub par. Any thoughts on the trigger from owners? Less than great can be dealt with but she's starting to get arthritis so anything super heavy would be out.
-
Thanks for the tip. I wonder if hand size comes into play at all with this? I have a small/medium sized hand and just can't help thinking that part of the finger would either push or pull the trigger out of wack. I'll give it a shot though, any thing that can make an improvements gotta be worth a try.
-
Also anyone else think its a bit fishy to join onto a forum and make one post asking if anyone cares to admit to breaking gun control policy?
-
I think you would be able to get the FFL for gun smithing to get around the gun sales restriction? I had thought about getting the FFL123 kit online which supposedly walks you through getting a license in any zip code in the US for a home based business. Decided it really wasn't worth the hassle to save 30% on firearms when you can get them fore a little over 10% over cost online. Went with a C&R instead so should still be able to save on parts and ammo and what not.
