Make it properly sized with the thicker wood and will probably actually work. What you where describing sounds more like decorative veneer more than anything. I bet aside from being easier to work with the thicker cuts will do a much better job. If you Find you still need some glue I would recommend hide glue for your project. It's trickier to work with but not at all impossible and you shouldn't have any fumes bleeding into your stogies. Best part is you can make it yourself cheap out of Knox unflavored gelatin available in most any grocery store. Titebond makes a synthetic hide glue as well that is supposed to be easier to work with, but I haven't tried it and don't know about the fume bleed out. Also make sure your source kiln dries the Spanish cedar as it is prone to warping. At 70% humidity you may encounter issues...

Ding ding ding! I think we have a winner! I wonder how many frivolous cases we'd see if if there was a new law banning financial gain off a lawsuit? Pay exact medical bills and time missed from work, legitimet legal fees and not a penny more. I bet it would be amazing what people would let slide after that.

Interesting, what's the capacity? I've been wanting a PMR-30 for awhile now but much prefer the looks of that. Of course being able to tote around 60 rounds with just one extra magazine is most of my interest. I'm sure the AMT is alot more $$& as well, but I like it. A lot.

Awesome! How far out did you shoot? I'd like to lay hands on one myself one of these days.

This is a tough issue all around. Both my mother and sister are teacher and teachers aid and try to remain as neutral in issues of politics and religion ie; creationism vs evolution as they possibly can. It's not made easy on them though between what any number of parents want them to teach their kids and what the administrators and board say they can teach. Luckily for them they get the young'uns and not alot of hot topic issues get brought up to K-3 graders, and what does they say basically there are many different theories and go ask your parents because I don't know. Unfortunately they both know a lot of teachers that use their influence to get their and only their views across as being sensible. As parents those with children not being home schooled would do well to keep tabs on what their kids are learning day to day. Smith, get out a copy of the dictionary and have your daughter look up the words theory, supposedly, opinion, and hypothesis. Explain in a nice way that teacher is a teacher, not an environmental scientist and that teachers jobs are to relay information and they can only relay what their told or personably believe.

I'll support a ban on high capacity magazines
TrickyNicky replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Very true. Now I know my first mistake was even picking up the the magazine in the first place but I have to say it upset me all day. I started forming a letter of my own in my head but what's the use? You can't reason with the unreasonable. The point you make is a good one as usual D, some people really don't understand the concept of erosion. Or even worse are just naturally selfish enough to feel that as long as their left alone everyone else can go suck eggs. God, I love this country but I can't stand most of the people in it. -

I'd get rid of the whole thread or at least the first post. I can't see any good of having crap like that on here, all to easy for someone with an agenda to see it and quote it as coming from a member of the firearm community. Bored yesterday and thumbed through a copy of People that my sister had left lying around and read a comment from a "gun owner" who apparently couldn't think of any reason beyond killing people that someone would want or need anything larger than the four round "clip" in his hunting rifle. It's one thing when a gungrabber spews crap out of his mouth, it's worse when it comes from within. -
Makes me wish I liked seafood. Glad you guys enjoyed it.

Real men wouldn't bother with the Brita.

Hands down my favorite character from my favorite series, by my favorite author. You Sir have taste.

He made sure to hang on to that "missing" riacin(sp?). I'm figuring Skyler, Jessie, or maybe even Mike will be dosed before the series ends. Plus he can always buy another one of those plants... Originally I would have said he wouldn't because that would have been counter productive. I mean why go through everything to provide for your family then destroy that family? Now though his priorities are changed, he means to build an empire and I think leaving money to the kids is a secondary priority. Remember he's someone who should have been very successful in life and he's finally found his niche, he's going for broke to see how far he can get before the cancer comes back. Man I can't wait for Sunday.

Ok so raise your hand if you opened this thread hoping to see a computer getting shot. <raises hand>

Same thing happened at my CLEO office, talked to one lady who had no idea what was going on, she called in another gal with more experience and she knew exactly what it was and what to do with it. Went alot easier than I thought.

Lack of pinned items in this forum?
TrickyNicky replied to a topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
I noticed that as well, made the cosmoline removal thread to hopefully get the ball rolling in this section with useful info easier to find. Seemed good for awhile but I'm sure it will sooner or later fall into obscurity. Maybe once in a while I'll bump it with more detailed info on the different steps. I would also have liked to see some links to some suppliers or Gov offices. Maybe tonight I'll build a list and someone else can provide links as I'm not very computer savy. -
It's my guess that guy won't be around much longer to tell anyone anything. Walts a devoted father and Jessie has a brother around the same age as dirt bike kid. Mikes not going like the additional complication much either. That guy better start making himself irreplaceable real fast or end up in a drum off acid.

I agree. I wasnt talking about the behavior of the Olympian, I was "justifying" the fact that Mexicans fly the Mexican flag off their front porch. As to the matter of the Olympian, it's not the behavior I would expect from someone representing any country. On a more positive note, did anyone catch the Jamaican athlete stopping an interview with a Chineese reporter to show respect for our National Anthem? I missed it but heard about it from family, that I think is a very tasteful way to show respect for any country.

Since we're on the topic of insurance, how feasible would it be for you guys to load your own store made reloads for use at your range? I know if a few places that do but never asked if they were covered for it or had to pay a premium for something like that. If you haven't already it may be something worth looking into for some of us frugal shooters.

Thanks for the correction Brian. Could have sworn I saw something to that effect on the website but I could be, and probably am mistaken. I'll go back and edit my false information. I for one am looking forward to the opening, being as I live right off I 65 just a few miles south, I'm sure I'll be in from time to time. Good luck with your endeavor, you guys definatly have some guts opening such an expensive business with these political and economical times we are in.

Not a deal breaker. I wonder if it's an insurance thing? If so I totally understand. I'm more concerned with the price of renting one of their full autos. $65.00 But you don't have to use their ammo for a rented gun, that could save some cash depending on how they are able to price match.

From what I understand (very little) you could be illegally carrying a concealed firearm and if the shoot was good you wouldn't face criminal charges. Kind of odd I guess but I'm not complaining.

+1 on Mike, likes Gus real well also. Great acting, the way he could go from normal to void of any emotion in no time flat was great. Hands down though, the best acting in the series goes to Malcolm in the middle dad. "I am the one who knocks!"

It's the damndest thing. My pants fit fine going in, but somehow on the way home I'm inclined to loosen the belt a notch or two? The belt then stays loose for almost a week then the pants magically fit fine! Just one of the mysteries of the cosmos I guess...

Nothing wrong with being proud of your culture or where you came from. I suppose my immigrant grandfather should have been ashamed for flying the Irish flag? It'd be one thing if they were burning an American flag while waving the Mexican, but they aren't. I've known alot of Mexicans, born in Mexico, in Ca who were hands down more appreciative of our country than most fortunate enough to have been born here. Knew a guy who came from Costa Rico who could name more US presidents off the top of his head than most anyone else I've met. Proud American, proud Costa Rican.

Liquor laws are a bit stupid IMO, other than that if it hadn't of been for getting a good job back in Ca I never would have left five years ago. Got back within months of leaving said good job. I do miss somethings about my home state but by and large I'm much happier here. The people are first rate, I find I've never fit in politically anywhere but Tn is the closest I've come, the scenery is nice, the gun laws are great, and can't forget... The food! The food out here is absolutely fantastic! I live ten minutes away from a Corkys, there's Bar-B-Cutie, I'm even a fan of Waffle House. Hell Ca hasn't even got a Crackerbarrel, I went through hashbrown casserole withdrawals when I left. Love my adopted state, love it.
