  1. Fo sho! Either there or CHMR. Actually prefer Charlie's if possible, I'm already a member so it would be much (like $35) cheaper. Either way let me know and we'll make it happen.
  2. Made a thread a few months back on the subject. Based on the replies went ahead and ordered three. Had them shipped to D&T and all said and done they came out to $109 a piece after transfer. Can't beat a deal like that and I'm stoked. Like Dolomite said they triggers a bit heavy but very crisp. Over all couldn't be happier with them. You know Smyrna isn't to far, if you want to try before you buy I'll bring the rifle out for some shooting, let you know what your getting into and it's always fun meeting a fellow TGOer.
  3. Great people over at Joebobs. Also at ; D&T arms, G&L, and Nashville Armory. Had a good experience at Outpost Armory as well. So far have had nothing but positive experiences from any TGO vendor.
  4. First chore finished up, more info and picks to follow... I'll give you all a hint, well actually no I won't. Mwahahahaha!
  5. ^^^^ That right there is one of the most stand up things I have ever heard. I really need to get some basic reloading supplies and start giving this man some business.
  6. Yeah this topic seems to have regressed rapidly to the point where there will be few participating who will come out looking good to any outsider looking in. I'm out.
  7. All three of those are great examples of some of the many legitimate issues with our current president, but at least IMO still a far cry away from a declaration of supreme dictatorship, or American concentration camps, or a secret army of DHS agents armed with hollow point handgun calibers with enough ammo to expend two shots for every citizen, canceling elections or any of the other ridiculous notions I've heard over the last twelve years. Have his past actions been concerning? Yes, very. Do I find his actions immoral, impractable and illegal? You bet. Do I think that means I need to worry about Obamas DHS army coming to confiscate my weapons or throw me into a FEMA camp? Nope. I've got enough real and current issues that are actually happening to keep my mind occupied for some time.
  8. Hmm sounds interesting, usually items get placed on flier sales because they are having a hard time selling. Wierd that they'd not be trying to sell them at regular price as much as possible before blowing them out the door on sale. Wonder the deal will be?
  9. Haha it's all good, I think anyone mature enough to own/carry a firearm shod be able to take a little joke.
  10. At first I was all like "WTF!?" Then I realized who was posting and was all "OIC, LOL!"
  11. I wonder where these rumors originate? Seems there's nothing to any of this yet the rumors persist. I'm guessing some FFL somewhere somewhen tried justifying the extra money spent in his shop to a gullible customer. Interesting enough a similar rumor pervades the guitar market that large nation wide chains similarly receive subpar merchandise that the "ethical" independent shops won't take. There may be a shred of truth to that but then again I doubt it.
  12. Guess what showed up in the mail today!! Pics to follow along with first review. I will say in the mean time I am impressed.
  13. That sounds sufficient, I had heard Purple Heart did not easily bind to some woods but never worked with any. Either way the pin holes should hold it just fine. Good thinking.
  14. ROFLMAO!! Solid win!
  15. Absolutely beautiful, I really like cocobolo it's a great looking wood very similar to Brazilian rosewood. Looks like you got a good piece.
  16. Damn, damn, daaayuuummmnnn!
  17. I've got two from my paternal grandfather that mean a lot to me. On the left is novelty knife that has no real story beyond the fact that it was grandpas, it's marked Korium made in Germany forged Solingen steel. My dad and uncle remember playing with it as kids so he had it for awhile, other than that its origins are a mystery. When I was really little grandpa showed it to me and I think those just may be the first set of lady parts I can remember. I remember not trying to stare to hard lol. The one on the right has a bit more meaning as it was made especially for gramps by a machinist friend of his. He was a millwright back in the day when a machinist could just look at something and crank one out with his tools. His friend as I understand it was not even a hobbiest knife maker really, just made a few for a couple of people that wanted or needed one. It's definitely carbon steel, and holds a razor edge very well. One of these days I need to find a leather worker to build it a good home. Now just for you pervs, a close up of the lady knife. Notice how the nips are worn through to the metal? Cracks me up every time I look at it.
  18. Looks good from here! What kind of glue did you use to laminate the teak and Purple Heart?
  19. Nashville armory has em for $689. IIRC Rather give them my business plus the $10 saved will cover the background check. It is good that the price has come down on these compared to what they where at earlier thus year, the whole point of a Ruger1911 IMO is to have a sturdy, reliable 1911 that the average joe can afford.
  20. This. It's pretty easy, just give them a call and they'll walk through it.
  21. Yeah that crap load of crap is a little old. There really needs to be an unbiased test done to show people the difference. I also have to wonder if anyone did better and just got edited out to push an agenda, wouldn't surprise me in the least.
  22. The disarming of the American people will also be a financial nightmare. More than anything I see an Australian style mandatory buy back which we just can't afford on top of our middle eastern missions. Even that I find highly unlikely.
  23. That GENIUS is hopefull for a healthy future for American mouths. While I can't get behind a federally mandated identification program if we are going to have one I'll take the pony.
