1. Looks like a handy little utility knife which is my personal preference. What's the handle made out of? Looks grippy.
2. I could be wrong but I'm thinking the vast majority of the people threatening a riot are a bunch of college age libtard pu$&ys who wouldn't even begin to actually try anything remotely resembling a riot. The rest may actually do something but as others have said they won't even leave outside of a three block radius to the nearest check cashing liquor store. I'm not at all concerned, we're ready at our house just in case. I do wish there were some good riots happening actually, a lot of wanna be thug suburban white kids with an "eff the police, anarchy for America, I'm BA" type attitude I'd like to round up and drop off. Love to see how they feel if they make it out.
3.
This is what Maroonandwhite sent me in a pm. Talk about a great guy, he didn't want to post a review that mentioned the handle was cracked to make sure I didn't look bad. Thanks man. And this is what has caused the handle to crack:
Shows how observant I can be at times, I didn't even notice the crack. Take heart Spots that I doubt it will be much of an issue if at all.
4. Glad it was just his taser and not his sidearm... The dumbas$ should be fired and taken to the cleaners in a court of law. I usually try to give LEO the benefit of the doubt but this is nothing other than gross negligence at it worst with no possible excuse. Hopefully his department condemns his actions and supports the suit.
5. Haha the exact opposite of how I broke mine in. Loaded up two thirty rounders and shot them all within 3-4 minutes. Had some left over oil in the barrel/gas tube/somewhere start smoking but that was it. Glad it worked out well.
6.
If they need it and I'm not there to administer it, I would be upset to find out you didn't. If I can't discipline your child as needed, they aren't welcome in my home. I also don't want them around me anywhere else.
I had plenty of woopins at the hands of those closest enough to parents to be given the responsibility to watch me. Can't say it was an issue one way or the next. If its not straight up abusive discipline is discipline and it doesn't much matter who dishes it out. Keep in mind the person who either slips the switch on or administers the lethal injection on someone who was won't be their parent either.
7. Last time I checked Ak guy was at D&T arms. Looks good so far, I like the look of the stock front end on the saigas real well so kind of prefer the looks of what you've got. Stick up on mags and ammo and your set!
8. Cool info but when I read the title I read "girls and guns graphic". I was expecting something else all together...
9.
I have been reading the ABCs of reloading and they recommend a water based cleaner for corrosive primed ammo in Mosins and such. I have been using CLP on them thus far but am wondering what are your thoughts on Berdan primer cleanup. JTM Sent from my iPhone
I've heard that windex works well for neutralizing the salts in corrosive ammo, just spray enough through the chamber so it drips out the barrel and then clean as normal when you get home. I've been using balistol for about a year now and really like it. Read that it took care of the salts and so far that has been my experience. Plus it's a good CLP as well, great stuff IMO. Smells a bit funky but its all good, I just crack open a bottle of hoppes to make the room smell "right" for gun cleaning.
10. There's a guy selling information kits allegedly garaunteed go get you your FFL in any zip code in the country at FFL123.com Seems like it involves a decent amount of paperwork, maintaining a business with set business hours among other things. I think the requirements are slightly different depending on what your focusing on doing like gun smithing, home FFL for di'int transfers etc.
11. Yeah but it seems the OP has gotten probably the best advice on the subject that he's going to and the topic has apparently morphed into a general debate on the merits of spankings in general. If my post is off topic it's certainly not the first one of the thread to be. Oh and for the record my first swat on the butt was probably around the same age, about two-three years old. However my parents never left any marks or bruises wether it be a bare handed swat a belt or a hairbrush. Sounds like OP might be seeing something else all together.
12. Wow can't believe there are so many here who would consider spankings inappropriate punishment. Spankings as a child helped forge the decent man I am today, and as much as I never believed it as a child whenever my parents said "one day you'll thank us for this" they were 100% right. I'm thankfull they cared enough to tan my hide as appossed to other kids I knew who could get away with murder. At the time I thought they had the cool parents but I'll tell you they don't make better parents than mine. I'm not a biblical man by any means but I have to agree "spare the rod spoil the child"
13. Another mosin thread is almost always a good thing. These are probably the best $100 you will ever spend on the hobby. They do seem to multiply though so make sure you have room for one more.
14. 1. You all can have Al, I call dibs on Tipper Gore. 2. Carlos Mencia. 3. Reanimated undead zombie bin Laden.
15. Anyone know of anyone in mid Tn. that "rents" cans so you can try before you buy? Obviously not to take home or anything but if there were a dealer who would make plans to meet at a range with a few for a fee I'd sure like to try one before making what would most likely be a permanent purchase. I've been thinking about taking the plunge for awhile now and just want to be sure I'd be making a good choice. Alternately, anyone around Nashville own a Huntertown Arms .22 or 223 can they want to show off? I'd be gratefully enough to sport the ammo and lunch or something, maybe kick you a few buck?
16. Ok, I lolled like a mofo. That was pretty good.
17. Good deal.
18.
Didn't fort Knox get in trouble a little while back for doing an exercise using the tea party as the force attacking ? Yeah zombies are a bit more politically correct I still think they should have used the occupy movement
Zombies, occupy'ers, six of one half dozen of the other. At least in the mental capacity department.
19.
No he's dead. Proves the "inter" part of internet extends very far indeed - OS
Damn shame, I didn't know him well but... I'm gonna miss him. At least his spirit will remain with us in, well, spirit.
20. Ak guy would be my best guess, it seems Dolomite seems to have a good answer to just about everything as well. Why not just put your questions out there for the TGO masses? While maybe not everyone is an expert there is a kit of information being given freely by just about everyone.
21. I'm game to try, would definitely be a nice prize.
22. WTF was that? I'm confused, are you alright?
23. Glad it arrived safe and quick. I think you'll find it up to the task whatever you do with it.
24. Absolutely yes IMO. Just having the C&R will eventually pay for itself if you are into older but not antique guns. I personally wouldn't be bothered about the privacy hit at all. If your worried about keeping the records indefinitely just don't renew and instead let it lapse and file for a new one.
25. I see, if you've already got a tablet then the kindle sounds like a good choice indeed. Didn't realize they were making them small enough to fit in a pocket or with 30 hours battery life, that's sweet. Wonder if I could read my nook stuff on a kindle? Wouldn't want to buy the same books again especially since most are already doubles of paper books I've already bought then given away.
