Marine Corps helicopter pilot sues over Wyo. traffic stop
TrickyNicky replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I would say the opposite, 90% good people who want to help make a positive difference in their community's and 10% bung holes. The problem is we don't get the opportunity to hear about all the great things that LEO do for people around the country everyday, all we hear are the problems. Having both parents being former LE and an uncle still serving I may be a bit biased though. -
Glad your on top of it OS, I apparently am not lol.
It's hard to take anything you read on the internet seriously, there's just too much of it. Twitter and internet forums are perfect for sad pathetic people who just want attention and try to make themselves seem big or important, most all who make these lame threats are probably not capable of carrying them out and too chicken sh!t to try. I would guess the clown who wrote that threat would pee his pants if an actual riot broke out close to his house, he's not in much danger while sitting behind a moniter.
This.+1 Somehow I just seriously doubt that anyone who would ever actually riot even knows how to use twitter or have any interest in Facebook beyond hooking up with hood rats. I also have my doubts that potential rioters are in any way politically active to begin with. Maybe I'm just behind the times but that's just me.

Well, that's one way of getting meat in the freezer...

Seems the best way to make the best out of a sad situation. How's heart? Had plenty of venison steaks but never any organs. Any way to describe/compare it to anything else? -
Thanks for all the compliments guys. It gives me the warm and fuzzy to know that people do like my knives lol. And gjohnson was right nicky. They are small price stickers, thats the same style on everything there.
OIC, wasn't able to quite make them out on the phone. Anyway keep up the good work and we'll be seeing them in SMKW next!
-
Just got back from doing my civic duty. No stickers, for me voting is its own reward in and of itself that only keeps giving if ones choice is elected. I had to go against my own wishes on this one and go for the better good which I don't like but as long as we see and end to "Hope and Change" and get back to "Results and Money" it will be well worth it.

You could probably have one ordered at your LGS I would imagine. They might look at you funny but you've got your reasons.
-
Not yet but I'm going to start since I hate being on the phone while driving but sometimes unavoidable when you have a family member dependent on being able to reach you. Make sure you turn on the Bluetooth setting in the settings menu and turn it back off when you leave the car as it will drain the battery faster.
Why should he consent to a search if he is/was doing nothing wrong? Just because someone with a badge said so?
No, your taking what I said wrong. I've been pulled over probably five times and NEVER consented to a search. What I'm saying is that there is no search needed because the gun is out in the open "for the whole world to see" So saying I don't consent to a search is just kind of backwards for someone open carrying, by choosing that course of action you've negated the need for a search. -
Thanks OS misses that part.
-
Up to ~6,000 rounds anyway. - OS
I thought that only counted on their smaller pistols like my p-32? Either way even if your bit the original owner I think they charge like a $40 bench fee for warranty work and apparently have no qualm swapping worn/broken parts or even replacing whole weapons if need be.
-
Way cool! What are those on top of the blades, dimes? I like the way they look regardless.
-
Have you contested the it yet? There is a way to call foul if you feel you are being wrongfully denied the purchase. Do that then if you get no recourse you can try fixing it elsewhere.

I think this is a case of neither being wrong, but that sure doesn't make either of them right. Trooper could have handled himself a lot better and I probably wouldn't have tried to justified those actions by comparing what happens in IRAQ with what's supposed to happen here in AMERICA. Having said that the pilot should have just answered the question and taken it from there. Also doesn't help his case when he when refuses to consent to a search for weapons when in his own words his sidearm is out in the open for the world to see. I call epic fail on both parties. -
That's a great price for clean ones, now to figure out where to put them...

Lookin good, I've come to really like the Nagants, so much so that I've gone from none to three and still wouldn't mind a few more. Maybe a bubba and thinking a lot about picking up a bullpup conversion kit just to have something different as well. That's a pretty beefy looking scope you got there, it came with it?

The big question - concealed or open?

So instead of taking the opportunity to educate someone who may have just been curious as the legalities of something you got "two words away from handing out an ass woopin"? Go you. -
Downtowns getting rough these days. Some people don't belong in a functioning society, pants around your knees is always a prime indicator that you are one of those people. Followed closely by the straight bill cap.
I keep some of my hats straight instead of bent. Always take the price tag and sticker off though so at least I got that going for me. With baggy pants being so much a part of the current youth culture I've stopped paying attention to it pretty much altogether which wasn't hard as its never been a natural instinct of mine to look at guy butt anyway. To bad the fad never caught on with the ladies. There are plenty of other warning signs that someone is a no good that pants don't even enter the equation for me. -

^^^ How resourceful lol. -
I probably wouldn't remove it if using it for a carry gun though, probably no big deal but why give the defence attorney for the other guy anything to work with? If you really hate it you may find someone with kids who wants one for a nightstand gun.
-
Who says you can't be tactical on a budget? I'd sport it.

I've had to deal with homeless dumping on the back wall of one of my businesses before. It puts you in a weird position, you know you need to catch them in the act if you want to try to do anything about it besides clean it with a hose, but you really I mean really don't want too. -
I didn't read anything about any safety demonstration period, from what I read he had no reason to pull the taser in the first place. I agree, this should immediately disqualify him from any position in the LE community. If it were my child I would be beyond livid and would not even consider taking a settlement check until after it had been proven to me that this buffoon no longer had any hope of being in a position to make such a critical error again.
