ticketed/towed away for parking in front of a garage?
TrickyNicky replied to Sam1's topic in General Chat
I had a neighbor who would let her friends park in my space in the car hold randomly. I just started parking behind them and going about my business for a few hours at a time so they could not leave until I was good and ready. What was even worse IMO was the way some if those wonderful people treated the communal washer and dryer like it their own personal property. They'd throw a load in and leave it all night and well into the next morning. Put a stop to that petty quick too, turns out if there's one thing people don't like its doing their laundry twice because someone took their moldy azz clothes out and leaving them on top of the machines. Lucky I didn't throw it on the floor and leave the door open for the neighborhood cats to come in. This may seem harsh but when your trying to do laundry so you'll have clean clothes to wear to work and you can't because the property managers unemployed sister has left her clothes in the washing machine from 5 at night clear through till 7 the next morning it gets real old real quick. I could understand once or twice it slipping her mind or even if she had a work emergency and had to rush out but her lazy butt was just a lazy slob. Apartment living is great huh? -
this is a good point...i do the same thing. and sometimes when I try to open mail or look at notifications from my ipad I end up going to my profile. so i assume I am increasing my own profile views?? i am over 2K as well ???
This.
Well, when i'm on my iPad, I have a bad habit of tapping on a members name when attempting to tap on the title of the post. Maybe its just a case of members with fat fingers.
This.
I just peeked....
And this.
Never go in with a bunch of people. If you win, guaranteed lawsuits and lost friends. Splitting it rarely goes well.
This plus 1000. A friendly agreement to give everyone $100 or even $1000 is one thing but no way I'd pool in with anyone. It's just not neccasery and besides you'll increase your chances if everyone buys one as opposed to chipping in 10 cents a piece on just the one.

Wasn't a big Bruno fan. Borat was funny as all get out and Ali G is still hilarious but Bruno...meh, not for me.

Man I was having a bear of a time until about an hour ago. My recipient seems to lend credence to the phrase " man who has everything" even worse, (actually better for him) he also seems the kind of guy who doesn't need any of it to get by. This was a great idea, I'm so hyped to send out my gift and also to see what my Santa sends me.
Well, I know it ain't "under $30" but if ya'll are considering a Soda Stream, make your own soda machine, DON't It sucks donkey! The machine does well enough making carbonated water but the mixes are HORRIBLE. Tastes like the scum they scrape out the tanks after making Fresca!
Meh, I like them well enough to suit my wants. To each his own I suppose, if it helps any one could always buy brand name syrups from bar supply companies. That's what we did with my parents first soda machine in the 90's. BTW, thanks Daniel for the link. I think my secret Santa recipient is going to have some fun.

You the man metalhead!
We do the fingerprinting as well. You will need to go to the DMV first and get registered with L1 before you will show up in the system for fingerprints, however.
So just to be clear, I go to the class, then to the DMV to file then back to the store for the prints? Or go to class, get the prints, go to DMV, file then the prints show in the system?

Been there done that. It's gratifying when after they tell you how much fun it is they start asking where to go buy one and what the best bang for the buck is. The only thing better IMO is getting a young person interested in the sport and started off safely.
-
G&L it is! Any chance they're all inclusive fingerprints and all?

Well it seems the answer lies somewhere between eventually and never lol. Oh well in the mean time for some reason Damn Yankee has a better ring to it so I'll take it. The whole Ca stigma is a funny one, many times when I admit where I'm from people mention about coming down from up north. The funny thing is I actually came a bit north to get here, I've stopped pointing that out though as apparently I'm the only one who finds it funny I had to travel north to go south.
Or a knife to the head.... That was funny as all get out but I would have absolutely lost my cool. Using a little girl was probably not the best idea. I didn't watch the whole thing but I hope they at least did it on all women.
I know a few women who's first instinct in fight vs flight is fight. stuff like this is all fun and games until the pranker ends up with a crushed windpipe. Then it's just fun.

So I've been wondering for awhile a question that has caused me a great deal of thought. I moved from my home state of Ca to Nashville last April and really like it out here, the people are great, the food rocks, the gun laws are obviously a huge improvement, and I just prefer the living in general. So when if ever do I officially change from Yankee to good old boy? Is it even possible? Am I thus branded for life? I've always had a distaste for most aspects of big city living and most of the people doing it and where I come from was always considered a bit "country" but out here I guess I just fit in. For the most part. Maybe I can be Yankee by birth, Southern by the grace of god? Or, the grace of common sense?

Now that's a wedding party that doesn't disappoint! Add an open bar and you've the recipe for a good old time right there!

So I need to get my carry permit. I've been here long enough that I plan on staying and if I'm staying I want to be able to carry. The only thing holding me back at this point is my work schedule, mon-sat 10-6. Anyone know of a class or instructor I could take on a Sunday? Or maybe a two part class that starts at 6 or seven during the week? It would be great if the class was all inclusive with finger printing so I could save some time and just drop the form at the DMV and get on with life. Worst case I have the week between Christmas and New Years so I suppose I could wait and try to find someone not on holiday vacation then. What do ou all think?

Late nighter right here. Work a 10-6 shift so generally in bed by 2 or 3 and up at 8. Just generally a night owl I guess. Good luck on the job search buddy, don't give up hope. I was looking for long term full time employment for over a year and just a few weeks ago landed a job I love with people who treat me right. If you can make ends meet for a while you will eventually find what your after.

She was hotter before but like fauklin said, a paper bag and can work miracles...

Dang bro that sucks the big one. Hope you guys are able to work it out as well as possible. Glad your wife is feeling ok though I would second the notion of a visit to at least a clinic if not a Dr office. Not only will it look better for any case you may build, it is also going to be good piece of mind considering some injurys legitimately won't manifest themselves right away, muscle injurys in particular seem prone to "lying dormant" when adrenalin is up. Hope you guys nab the dirty such and such.

Just Purchased a Buck 119 Special with Cocobolo Handle
TrickyNicky replied to Seabeejason's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
I always freak friends of my daughters that come around on Halloween by whipping out my 119 and watch them scream.
That's just a wee bit creepy lol. -
Looks like a sweet rifle. If you love shooting it don't let it go, you'll only regret it and if your anything like me end up replacing it. Why not just save up for an inexpensive hunting rifle then use the 700 as one as well? That way you get two hunting rifles and one is very nice as opposed to two budget ones.

Is that a public range? I've got a box of tannerite sitting in the closet for almost a year because I can't find anywhere to shoot it. Hendersonville isn't far, could you post some info?
