Funny enough, I have a buddy who runs heavy equipment in Ca and got shot at while working on a freeway expansion. Guy pulls up on the shoulder near the work sight, gets out of his car and proceeds to 'bust caps' in the general direction of the workers, does this for about a minute IIRC then gets back in his car and drives off. Police arrived promptly, but dude was long gone. I know at LEAST 2 of the guys started carrying daily after that irregartless of the asinine system out there, and one who was trying to get to his vehicle after the first few shots to return fire.

I got a few big pretzel jars and keep some .22 in there. I also have probably 2-3 mo cans full as well. Centerfire is all in ammo cans except a duffle bag full of loaded mags I bought off Spots a year or two back. He was kind enough to give me the bag so I still use it. I need to order some more cans one of these days, though first I'll see how well everything I have fits in its new home in a month or so. Preparing for my move I took all guns and ammo to my parents house where I already had a sizable stash. Seeing what was already there with what I just brought over was enough to make a few relations give me some funny looks  . Funny they don't seem to mind shooting my ammo, but ask em to store it for awhile and it's suddenly "filling the whole closet, mah mah mah, blah blah blah."

I'm sure there is an age difference between us Mike, but your story reminds me a LOT of my late teenage/early twenties years. Me and a few buddies would load up (in every sense of the word) and spend all day shooting up yuca plants in the desert. Those little buggers are in the ground good, but a 7.62x39 or 12guage double aught will get em jumping good. :D

I got to fondle one at Nashville Armory a while back and really, really liked it. I am waiting, possibly in vain for one in 9mm but I may just go ahead and bite the bullet on the .38 in 2016. Now what I REALLY want is for them to make either with the smooth fixed rear sight typical to the LCR range. The adjustable is not a deal breaker by any means, but I wouldn't mind smoother fixed sights either.

Sorry Bersa, that is not just your humble opinion, that is documented fact.

I've had a life long infatuation with them. I,ve had one or three around since I was a teenager and once I got to TN from Ca, I just went a little ham on getting some of the things I would just wistfully wish for back there. I've always been a collector, but it never dawned on me to collect guns until after the first dozen. By the second I was dyed in the wool. I guess the main reason for my love of them though stems from the men of influence in my childhood. My father had guns for work, my grandfather and uncle for hunting. Owning a gun/s for me seemed as natural a part of being a man as having keys, a car and a job. It wasn't questioned, it just was part of the program.

Mostly thanks, got my house on Tues, so no more living in a hotel, but I need to make a trip and haul all my stuff still and do a final clean up. Plus setting up utilities... I guess it's a work in progress for a while  working 6day weeks doesn't help any, but thankfully my employers have been great as far as getting me time I need to get settled. I'm really stoked on the house though, it's the first time I've lived in a house since I swore off roommates and it's great to have so much space for all my activities.

Nashville Armory was super smooth and easy to work with for mine. They pretty much handled everything, plus I was a PITA about the whole thing and they took care of me with kid gloves despite. Definetly went above and beyond reasonable service. Never bought anything from guns n more, but did stop by and chat with one of the owners once and she struck me as very nice, very proffesional, and all around the kind of person you give a few hundred bucks to and not loose sleep in the following months while you wait for transfer and approval.

Ah man, I was gonna skip the video until I read that, I got a friggin Dodge commercial  some guys have all the luck. Looks like I'm not the only one lol. -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQlYXdhN9iU   You need to not click the imbed button for whatever reason and make sure to take the https etc out of the script before the www. For example, "www.youtube.com/watch?v=oQlYXdhN9iU" without the quotation marks gets you the above.

Maybe a bit of a poor choice for a gun forum, but it is what it is. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2I84-A9duY

It was great to meet with you Bersa, wish I had more time, and in reality I did. Yesterday was a cluster to put it lightly lol. We didn't end up on the road until near noon, then with the holiday traffic of everyone going home, it took us until about 8 or so to get here. Thats only one pit stop too. Anyway, sorry again for the wait and I hope the new monitor gets you by for a while, looks like it is working or else you wouldn't be posting lol. :p Now I'm off to change my member location...

I would look for a MK series ruger. Should be able to find SOMETHING in your budget and they are dead nuts reliable. The sr22 is great too, not sure you'd find one at your budget, but maybe. If you want a .22 revolver, IMO pony up the extra bucks to get an sp101 or lcr. I have a .22 sp101 and it is a damn fine gun.

TrickyNickys' Used Gun and Guitar Bargain Basement Bonanza does not stock left handed instruments. They're defective from the factory. :D

Guitar center has a no questions asked 30 day return policy. Keep it clean and you shouldn't have any issues with an exchange/refund even if you buy online. My suggestion if you do that is to have the guitar shipped into your local store if possible. That way if it doesn't pass muster at first glance the process is pretty easy. I don't have the best track record with getting great service or answers in store, but the people on their phone line have always been great, give them a call and they will help you out.

https://www.southpawguitars.com This was our go to recommendation for lefties when I worked at a guitar shop. Huge selection and the staff is supposed to be top notch.

Did you get a fret rocker yet? Could be a few high frets making trouble for you. If you haven't got the fancy schmancy stewmac rocker an old credit card works great. Check over the areas effected by the buzz and see if you don't have one or two unlevel frets in there. If you do, don't break out the leveling files just yet, report back and we can work it out. Do you guys have a teacher yet? A good teacher during these formative years is a godsend later on. It seems crazy shelling out a dollar a minute or more to have someone watch you go through chord changes and what all, but a GOOD teacher will correct bad habits before they form and set you on the path to success you won't fully appreciate for a few years at lest. If you are anywhere near a university with a music program you can most likely get a student there to teach for relatively cheap and someone going for their bachelors or masters in playing guitar will be in a very good position to get you going.

I didn't get anything but my sister told me she saved over $2500 at kohl's with a friend. How much do you have to spend on shoes and whatall to save $2500?!

Who is making a trip from Knoxville to Nashville?
TrickyNicky replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
I don't want to step on anyones toes or anything, but if Bersa needs a PC monitor I may well have one closer to hand for him. Might save some driving and time and get the goal accomplished? I'd be happy to look into it if it would help you guys. -

dang I'm gonna be fairly close* on tuesday, house hunting in atlanta that day. Not sure if I can convince my dad that a knoxsville layover is a solid part of the travel plans, but if nothing else pops up let me know and we'll find a way to work it. *Relative to nashville -
Look into Milky Spore. It's a bacteria that specifically attacks grubs but is pet/people safe. I used to carry the product and the company is awesome about giving out safety info, look them up and call and ask about chickens, but you should be good to go.
-
Could be all manner of critter I would guess. Best way we've found to eliminate moles and gophers is to take out the food source. If you have a seed spreader for your mower there are any number of products out there good for killing grub. Bad news is you generally need to apply them a little earlier in the fall, or after the last frost. Otherwise They make these little 40 grain lead pills that seem to work well, but you gotta launch them fast enough to inject the little buggers.

Of the 3 Kings, I gotta say Freddie may just be my favorite. BB was better at making a man feel his pain, but man this song gets me jumping every time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_ONyukSLqA

GunTV shopping channel to start its shows in January
TrickyNicky replied to Pete123's topic in General Chat
I'd go out of my way to support a gun company from Ca providing their pricing was in line with the rest of the country and not grossly inflated like most of the shops.
