Ted Nugent Nails 2nd Amendment
TrickyNicky replied to Seabeejason's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I've always been a fan of uncle Ted. He speaks his mind and I tend to agree with him on many, though not all points. He could be more civil but then again why? It seems logical, well spoken arguments tend to fall on deaf ears anyway? He is a take no prisoners truth teller and these days that seems rare. Plus he invented mini skirts, the shielded cable, the middle finger, and greasy Detroit rock and roll. Need more? Double Live Gonzo, nuff said. -
Haha! I had an interview last month and almost shaved mine. Decided f--- it and kept it instead. Still got the job and still have my beard! Congratulations though in the new job, I know you were looking for awhile. What did you land on?

No call here. Just showed up I think one month to the day from sending it out, the FFL handbook took a bit longer to show up.
-
After reading just the one I'd say he lost those screws. Probably long ago.

Not even a word.

That's looking pretty cool, I'm jealous. One question to Unclejack, is the flash playing with the colors in the first picture or do you really own and sport a purple cowboy hat? Now keep in mind I'm not judging, just wondering...

Interesting is putting it mildly... Quite honestly I don't know what to make of all that, I feel slightly offended for our troops though. Moroch of the red fang? WTF?...

Injuns?! Pistoleros?! Desperados?! I bet its cattle rustling, Injun desperados.

There's a posse?! What for?

Meh, not my first choice but I wouldn't turn down a chance to shoot it.

Thanks for the heads up Runco, good on ya. I've entered I think the last three in a row and haven't received anything from Sig. I get emails from Ruger, Buds, and many more. Doesn't bother me at all and occasionally they tell me about a good deal I wouldn't have found otherwise.

Official cosmoline removal thread.
TrickyNicky replied to TrickyNicky's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Yeah I delusions of this thread getting pinned because I thought it might be useful. Oh well. Hanging them outside seems easy. Too easy. I like the work of stripping all the gunk off manually. It's cheap thrills, but it keeps me off the streets. -
I can definitely agree there. Personally I take everything with a few grains of salt regardless of source. I remember a time not to long ago when I paid little to no attention to the news one way or the next. It wasn't that I didn't care, I just had the distinct feeling I was getting piss down my neck and didn't like anyone telling me it was rain. I miss those times. Sure I'm "better informed" now but only to the point where now I know where a bunch of people stand when I never cared about their "feelings" on the issue one way or the next. I know I'm far from alone when I think "gee, wouldn't it be nice to just hear the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth?" Cronkite could have been a socialist, rightwinger, commie, or capitalist, wouldn't bother me as that's his choice and his opinion. As long as I don't have to hear about it day in and day out every time he reported it wouldn't matter to me at all. I guess even above and beyond that I'm tired of people telling me I should be afraid. This comes from both sides and just seems non stop. I don't want to live with my head in the sand but come on, tell me what's actually going on and what is actually being done about it and how I can help. I've git no use for a life lived in fear of intangible maybes.

Not really, the media has an agenda to push and so do most if not all bloggers. I think the idea of impartial news reporting is as dead as the dodo Having said that I would be shocked to find an impartiality written, fact based article. This is after all the Internet and they'll let anyone on... Until Obama hits his magic Internet disabler switch that is ;) . For the record I have not yet read this particular article so my rambling thoughts should not be taken as a slight on it or its author.

Oh man what a drag. I liked Mr. Munden, he was a bit cocky but truely a living legend. His skill was truely motivating for many, myself included. He'll be trick shooting in heaven with McGivern.

3 to 1 is pretty steep. This decision is looking easier and easier.
I understand that the new Magpul P-mag Gen3 will work in the Tavor. The Steyr Aug3 NATO version uses Stanag mags. The Steyr Aug3 uses the proprietary mags.
I'd be leaning twords another rifle that can use the Pmags personally. They're a known commodity, functional, plentiful, inexpensive, and its probably a safe bet that you may just have one or two laying around . On the other hand the Aug is a pretty nifty setup as well, but I'm willing to bet their proprietary mags are double the cost of a pmag.
You have never been to Arizona or New Mexico. I was in Yuma, AZ and it was 130 degreea with 50% humidity or something like that. Hot, but you could breath. Unlike the Gulf of Aden off the coast of Djibouti. It was 135 there and 98% humidity.....
Lived in Southern Ca for 26 years, been to Az plenty of times, Nm more than a few. You've got me beat with the Dijibouti though. 50% is high for Az, its usually been in the 20-30s when I've been through. All I know is the beard gets weird in the summer here.
Nice but I'll go for warm temperatures, sunshine and no humidity.
I think warm weather and humidity are indicative of one another here.

D&T had some a while back, wolf I think. Outpost armory was selling small bags as well for awhile.

Oh oh I know! It's a package you've been waiting on!

Thinking about going back to school, Gunsmithing school in Oklahoma.
TrickyNicky replied to a topic in General Chat
I've been thinking the same thing. I've been looking into the Colorado school of trade and like the sound of their program, 14 months and apparently some very good training. The school in one of the Carolina's also seems quite good, haven't gotten around to the Oklahoma school yet. -
My Walmart is completely out of .22 LR and Mag
TrickyNicky replied to vontar's topic in General Chat
Even though its not a tangible number, what would be a reasonable amount to have. I to have been seeing the shelves bare at my local walmart.
Well I've got ten of the federal match 350 packs 1600 mini mags, an ammo can full of cb/snakeshot/subsonicrounds. And I guess about 3-4 bulk packs. I'll get there one day. For now its time to start building up the center fires. The goal is ultimately to be able to shoot recreationally for at least 6 months without having to spend money on ammo. Of course I will most likely continue buying ammo after that point for going to the range, I just like the idea of not needing to. -
I love the show, many have mention already no fowl language.
What you did there. I saw that.
