1. I just wish I could find some freakin ammo. I don't have near as many pmags as some here but frankly 8 is more than likely enough to last a lifetime of occasional recreational shooting. If I have to I'll supplement a few 10rnd mags if that's all that's available and save the regular capacity ones for special occasions. Same with all the semis I've got now. One things for sure though, all the mags in the country are useless without any ammo to put in them.
2. Not worth $40.00? My friend, I think we'll just have to agree to disagree on this one.
3. To each his own, I personaly enjoy doing that kind of work so for me it's no big deal. I probably would not spend more than .45 in glue considering I already have the clamps. A new set of ping tuners for around $8.00 and for less than ten bucks have it back up and running to use as a beater. If you haven't trashed it yet you can send it down to me and if there's anything that can be done I'll send it back working, no charge of course. Sure beats throwing it away or burning wood most likely covered with polyurethane in the pit.
4. Good read, thanks. A bit long but good.
5. Fwiw that broken headstock can most likely be repaired with a few clamps, some wood glue and a few small pieces of plexi glass. If your interested Lerner know and I can most likely walk you through it. Worst case I can easily point you in the direction of a few places to do the research on your own. Congratulations on getting back into it. Sounds like you and the daughter are in for some good times.
6. That's cool, I hadn't seen those before. While I agree that some people just seem to take the fun out of things I do wish they'd of just built a 50 rounder and called it a day. Maybe harder than I think but I'm sure greater minds than mine could figure it out. Anyway, that is a sweet looking charger there, I've got a little list of guns I'm looking into once things calm down and people are unloading their panic buys. The charger is definitely on the list. Wonder if I can convince Dolomite to help me out with one of his chopped up draganov sets...
7. I think maybe a dollar for 100 or so? They do work well though, they're about 1/8" or 1/4" somewhere around there.
8.
New BX25x2  50rd mag too!     http://i862.photobucket.com/albums/ab181/graycrait/ChargerRedux.jpg
More info on this please. Two bx25s taped up end to end?
9. I got a package of makeup removing pads from Walmart that are essentially big fat patches. Roll two of those up push them through with a little of your cleaner of choice and they've done the trick for me.
10. Found an audio recording of The Shephard. http://www.cbc.ca/asithappens/mobile/touch/index.html Please share with your families as you see fit. Merry Christmas.
11. When us kids were younger we would all gather round as my father would read The Shepard. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shepherd Its funny, as a kid I never really appreciated that but now I'd really like for the tradition to come back, dad stopped doing it over a decade ago because I guess I want alone in my unappreciation.
12.
I was looking for a 300 Blackout barrel for my AR build until this craziness happened. I want a barrel something fierce but I'm not going to pay more than what I would have a week or so ago. I'll keep all my parts put away until the prices come back down. Then I'll finish my build.
I've got to complete lowers ready to go as well. Part of me is mildly interested in putting them up for sale just to see what all I can get, but all in all I'd rather just keep them and wait until a great deal comes along on a few uppers in a few months.
13. Just an update, got my hands on one earlier this week. Through the generosity of a fellow TGOer I picked up a VTAC at a VERY attractive price. It's already got an Apex sear along with magazine extensions that will allow for loading 21 rounds per mag. I'm over the moon with this pistol, the trigger is just what I wanted and personally I don't find the sights busy at all. Although mine is second hand it is great condition and came nice and clean, lubed up and ready. I'm not mentioning the sellers name out of respect to his privacy, but if he were to come forward I would give him the nod for being a great guy to deal with. Can't speak enough as to how much I like this gun. I think I like the medium grip size the best but I'm going to try the small for awhile as I think it actually fits a little better, just not quite as comfortable. I know, I know...
14. Finally got some time now that my vacation has started. Whoever my secret Santa is, it's like he knows me well. I got an electric ratchet, a set of standard and metric sockets, and some much needed 7.62x54R ammo on clips. These are really some great gifts, my mother is obsessed with lawn and porch furniture, particularly the build it yourself stuff. The ratchet will make building up her next bench a breeze and I'm already going around the house looking for other things to fix. I love it. The ammo will get put to its proper use and be disposed of (loudly) ;) Thanks secret Santa, and thanks to metalhead for putting this together. Can't wait for Christmas in July. Merry Christmas guys and gals.

All I've got is a couple of closets, a filing cabinet and an old locker from an auto body shop. Wish I could display what I've got but then again its hard to complain given the small number of people I'd actually let see it all.
16. My sentiments exactly. Thanks to everyone who makes TGO possible, including David and all the great staff and all the frequent posters. Even when I don't agree 100% you all represent your own point of view that I value very highly. Merry freakin Christmas one and all! I hope you and yours have a safe and enjoyable day to spend with your loved ones.
17.
I never bought from them because I've never found their pricing to be competitive. Dfsixstring SR9c LCP RST4S
Same here. Whatever they've got I can usually find local for a similar price or through someone like Joebobs for less. Never had a good reason to buy through them, now I've got a good reason not too.
18. Looks like uncle Ted got old poose locked into a logical "stranglehold"
19. Ha! That sounds like a staple gun more than a rifle. I need to get into one of those, damn the cost.
20. I just call mine my rifle. What a novel concept, calling a rifle a rifle?
21. That's great. I've been completely satisfied by the service over at Nashville Armory. Their my go to place about 15 min away. Kudos to Brian for not taking part in the price gouging madness. Quality operation all the way.
22. Is 673 taken? If not I'd like 673.
23.
People have been talking about the apocalypse like there's no tomorrow.
What you did there. I saw that.
24. I'll post one later, but for now just wanted to congratulate you on your vendor status!! I'm sure it will pay off for you.
25.
*shrug* it is your stuff, sell or don't sell it is completely up to you. Personally I don't buy/sell during bubbles, although it is tempting I would rather trade stuff I no longer want or need for things I do want or need, leaving money completely out of the transaction if possible. Hopefully this bubble will be short & prices will go back to normal, until then its up to you what you do with your own property.
+1. I personally won't be buying or selling at what I consider to be inflated panic prices but nor will I look down upon those that do.
