1. I'm certainly not angry, in the grand scheme of things it's really no BFD. Just pointing it out in the off chance that there is an easy fix for it. Having admined a forum myself at one point I fully sympathize as well as empathize with everything TGO Dave does on a day to day basis to keep the lights on. Just figured I would throw it out there. <edited to add that it just happened again so I'm certainly not crazy> <2nd edit, maybe I a going crazy after all LOL. >
2. Well geez, my face is red... Still, I swear this has been an issue.
3. I've noticed this over the last little while and didn't want to raise a fuss (still don't) but just curious as to the why with all that I can't space my posts out like I used to. I've noticed other folks can, but mine just come out all slammed together. See this used to would have come out a few spaces below the first couple of sentences, now it's not. Is this perhaps an iPhone issue or something?
4. I've got just shy of 6k myself and have certainly thought about cashing in on the madness. Then I think, before I do that I'd rather give it away to someone who actually has none and will use it. Then I think, I'd rather just shoot it. Then I think, I'll just go ahead and hang onto it a bit longer, just in case. Maybe it's a bit foolish but personaly I'm refusing to take any part whatsoever in the current situation. No selling, no buying, unless its at pre panic pricing I'm not interested. I've said it a few times and don't mind saying again, I've had better luck with company's who "don't care about the 2nd amendment and who are only out for the largest profits" than I have with "local gun shops who care about our rights and have a stake in the game". The only exceptions so far have been a few of our vendors here who are not participating in any kind of bullsh$&. I've found a lengthy list of people who will not see a red cent from me again.
5. The one on the right seems smarter some how.

7.
Just remember that straw purchases are illegal.
+1. C&Rs are for collecting. I'm sure we all know that there is no harm in selling or trading for the purposes if enhancing ones collection but remember, we are NOT firearms dealers. I was in Walmart awhile back buying ammo (when they still had some) and while waiting in someone to open the case started talking with another guy also waiting. We started talking about tokarevs and Nagants and I mention I had a C&R and he immediately asked how much I would charge for a transfer. I replied that I was not licensed to do so and he just kind of looked at me funny and asked again if I would order stuff for him. He didn't get it, just because I wasn't likely to get in trouble doesn't mean I'm willing to sacrifice my license.

9. What a little bit&$. Number 1. What a little pu$$. Number 2. Sounds like he should brush up on the law a little bit before embarrassing himself in the presence of the public. That is truly someone who should be flipping burgers instead of serving his community. I would give the Councilman who seconded the motion a little more leeway, I still think he's wrong but at least he voiced his concern (by seconding a motion he agreed with) then turn into a little bit$& when it got turned down. That whole thing would have been laughable provided it didn't show exactly what we are up against very clearly.
10. Like TripleDiget suggests, their clientele seems to have more money than sense. I'm not someone who makes a lot of money but happen to live pretty near there. Used to be a customer when I first lives here 6 years ago. Luckily before I moved back to Tn. I found TGO and since then have been spending money with members and vendors. When it comes to FGS, just say no.
11. Trick question. Nut jobs and thugs don't take the time to read either.
12. Rifles, why can't we just call them rifles?
13. I think the real question is "does he care?" My guess is that he is well aware of the law and banks statements like that on the bulk of the populations ignorance. The guys a bigger tool than Gore.
14.
I deciphered the link: http://louisvillefirearms.com/ar-15-parts.html   That is an awful price. And I add another to my list of dealers who will never see a dime.   Dolomite
+1. The last time I ordered polymer lowers I got three complete including transfer fees and background check for less than the price of one through them. I'd hold off and see what Joe Bobs sells them for when they get more stock in.
15. I've got about 6-7k in 22lr so I guess I could be shooting more than I have been. I try to keep about 1000 per caliber and am running about there for everything else beside 7.62x54R and .223 which I am quite short on. Of course I'm starting to understand that my idea of low ammo numbers differs from the next guys. I've been going every few weeks but since Newtown have been limiting my shooting to .22 and only bringing a staggering 100 rounds per trip. Lucily a member here hooked me up with a conversion bolt for the AR so I've still been able to shoot that. I think I'm going to dust off the old Romanian M69 and start bringing that instead. It's dead on accurate, only holds 5 rounds and has to be cycled manually after each shot. That should stretch the meager supply until this madness stops and I can order a case of bulk packs.
16. Thought it was "Give me liberty or give me death." Not to be nit picky, words of this importance deserve to be accurately quoted. Besides that a person can have freedom and still not taste the sweet taste of liberty.
17. 16 for the AR and between 1-4 for the rest. It seems like I've got AR mags to spare but with two more builds on the way that's only 5 per with one extra. One thing is for sure, I used to balk at the asking price for pistol mags. Not any more, once things have calmed down some I expect to spend at least two weeks pay on mags, followers and springs. Ammo is another thing I thought I was doing well on. I need to triple and in some cases quadruple the amount on hand.
18.
I tried some Guiness Black Lager on a whim tonight.  Thin, no mouth feel, watery, no after taste.  A dark beer should have body to it.  Regular Guiness is a bit too thin and watery for me as well, so I guess I shouldn't have been shocked that their Black Lager would be disappointing as well.   Just thought I'd pass that along.  Skip it and save your money.
I've always been more partial to Boddingtons than Guinness. You can tell when a bar knows how to pour Boddingtons correctly, it should take about 15 or so to get it from the tap to your table. It is a heavy, creamy beer that I only drink once in a blue moon. Highly recommended.
19. I was in Tn on vacation visiting my folks when I google "Nashville shooting range" found two things, CHMR and TGO. Been members of both ever since. Stuck around Charlie's on account of the fact that aside from being the best bargain around, he is one hell of a guy. My brother called me several times in Ca to say that Charlie was asking on me and sent his best. Stuck around TGO because it was immediately apparent that David had created a true community. I've been a member of several forums and for the most part they are essentially popularity contests. Whoever has the highest post count or the snappiest one liners gets his questions answered or his answers taken as gospel. Not at TGO, everyone's thoughts count for something here, and that's impressive in and of itself. Add to that the fact that folks help each other out on a regular basis and what we have here is a true community. I've had the privledge of meeting several folks on here face to face and every time I've walked away feeling as though I've made a friend.

Indoor range?

If ventilation and good service are what your after you'd be hard pressed to beat Nashville Armory. Guns and leather's Greenbrier location was nice as well, can't speak as to Hendersonville as I haven't been down there yet but I have a hard time imagining that they'd be below par.
21. That bites. The worst part of having a four legged friend is knowing that inevitably you will be faced with the loss.
22. That is some of my favorite beer right there, love it. For those around Nashville that want to give it a shot before commiting to the search, Burger Republic off of Nolensville has it on tap along with an impressive selection of other fine brews. Plus they make a killer burger so its pretty much a win win.
23.
If that bunch shows up, we will definitely know it. The real thing will end up in all kinds of media. I can't help but laugh at that picture. All I know is what Obama said in his own words about wanting a "civilian national security force, stronger and better funded than the military." We will know about that possibility when the military gets stripped.
A civilian nation wide security force stronger and better funded than the military. Comprised of the same civilians who have no business owning weapons designed for the theater of war? Geez, I mean we all knew he ain't the brightest bulb in the box but I'm just dying to know how he plans to pull that one off.
24. +1 on bleaching out the sks. Also like the idea of fading from black to brown if all else fails.
25. The truly beautiful thing about the free market is that no one gets to dictate who I spend my money with. They can charge whatever they want, I'm not buying. Not now, and from some of these shops never again. There are several shops who are not participating in the nonsense going on right now (most vendors here) who will get my money instead, even if it means paying a few dollars extra. IMO the dealers who are participating are showing their true colors and much like the gun grabbers won't let a good tragedy go to waste. IMHO. <EDIT> the point about the private parties buying up the stock to resell is very true. Guess what? Won't buy from them either.
