  1. FFL123.com From everything I have read it is absolutely worth the cost in regards to getting your license and setting up your business.
  2. You sir have obtained legend status. Very impressive.
  3. Keeping my fingers crossed they will come on out to Nashville. And soon.
  4. For one thing you'd think a chief (even one from Emery Ca population around 10,000) would be able to find and procure a correctly fitting uniform. You'd also think he'd have enough respect for his department to trim that stash before making a public appearance on TV. I'm absolutely shocked he was not able to buy, beg, or even borrow a comb to get his hair in place. For those that care he is also the same Police Chief who spear headed Ca's ban on open carrying a year or so back. Yeah when the media said that the initiative had the support of LE that's who they meant. In case you couldn't tell this guy is a tool plain and simple.
  5. The real rub for me at least is not the people involved, nor is it the concept. What chaps my ass is that even IF the project is a huge success and they're able to produce 1.21 jigawatts every second of the day, the price of electricity will not fall one dime for the users. This is just another way for people in the position to abuse their power to hand down some "aid" to their family/friends. Unfortunately I'm not at all surprised, given that the spenders in Ca have absolutely zero concept of what's important or the fact that they are piss poor broke.
  6. Yeah, maybe I should pick up a couple for collection purposes, I see these being a huge flop.
  7. But is it really that small and really that accurate? Personaly ergonomics confound me, how the hell do you even hold it? For a bob gun I'd go with an SR22 any day of the week. Ergonomic, small, no feeding issues, and very accurate. The only real upside to the ZIP is that you can cram 10/22 mags into it. Not that big of a deal IMO. Yeah I pretty much talked myself out of this one already, I'd still pick one up used for >$200 if it worked correctly but to pass it off as anything more than what it is (a novelty) would just be unfounded.
  8. She already got hit by the stupid bus and the ugly bus, what more do you want?
  9. If we can go with conversions my AR with .22 conversion and my Blackhawk convertible would be my picks. 223 and 22 through the rifle and 3 very common, practical calibers through the Blackhawk (9/38/357) I'd still like to have a shotgun though, even if all you have is a bunch of birdshot you can still most likely find some candles or crayons to build wax slugs. Worst case cut shell slugs will apparently put meat on the table. This is a hard choice.
  10. They do seem a bit to uniform in size shape and distance to be an accident... That is a very cool piece, in your position I'd be very keen in getting an accurate appraisal, if for no other reason than that may be something you should insure. Thanks for sharing.
  11. I have CCW, my dad has legal heat. We're both happy, one nice thing about CCW when I first got it I thought I noticed a mistake in the Tn laws (I was wrong) I alerted the publisher thinking it would go into an unmonitered mail box but low and behold within 24 hours I had a response asking for clarification on the issue. Very proffesional and easy to use.
  12. I thought that was pretty good. Lol
  13. Those are some good pics. I'm really starting to like the looks of some of the archangel stuff. The mini stock is way cool, and have you guys seen their new Nagant set ups? Wicked BA! Back to topic, what kind of optic is that? I'm liking that too... <EDIT> Just read in your other thread it's a truglo. How do you like it? Have you had time to try it on the mini and does it hold?
  14. Now I'm not the guy to tell anyone what they can or can't do with their rifles, having said that if you plan in pulling a Scrooge McDuck with you Mosins please, and this is for your own good, take the bayonets OFF first. Them things is pointy!
  15. Naw, the liberal elite are out in San Fransico, Sacremento, and the coastal communities. There are certain liberal hot spots in LA, Venice being a prime example. I said for years that as diverse as California is it really should be three different states. Central and most of southern Ca are very different. Likewise, the far north may as well be its own planet. Personaly I think that the bulk if the proposed crap will fall on its ass. There has been a large increase in interest in the shooting sports over the past few years, I vividly remember a time when I could go into a gun store and have the place to myself, more than ample ammo and very few people seemed interested. When I left last April it was completely different, the last gun I bought out there I had to wait 1.5 hours to get to the seat to make the purchase. Likewise the two ranges I'd frequent(when we didn't just drive out into the desert instead) used to be pretty much deserted most of the time. That all started changing a few years back. I still have friends out there, one who has been collecting his whole life and has a collection of preban stuff that would make a lot of folks here more than a little jealous. For their sake I hope things get better but other than that, I really don't care. It does suck though that already my friends family will have to sell or turn in the bulk of his collection when he passes as they currently fall under the non-transferable ban. God I am so much happier out here.
  16. Getting nothing over the phone. What's it called?
  17. I wouldn't over think it. I think a cell phone, flashlight, and pistol are going to be all anyone needs. If your really wanting to gear up I'd suggest a belt with holsters or holders for all the gear mentioned. At least then you could access your equipment as you need it as appossed to rummaging around in a bag full of supplies. I'm sure there are many cops out there who would love to be able carry their gear in a backpack as appossed to around their waist, but its just not practical. Also, not to be a jerk but have you ever tried maneuvering with/utilizing all that stuff? My plan for awhile involved a shotgun and pistol. Trying to carry both made neither effective from my "test run". My plan now involves just a pistol and flashlight. If I grab anything else its going to be the phone. If I hear a commotion that would lead me to believe a big problem was coming my way, like a multi person home invasion, I'm grabbing the AR and one extra mag and that's that. If 60 rounds of intermediate firepower won't help me, 90 surely won't. IMO.
  18. Don't get my post wrong, no one has to justify population control with me regarding yotes. I fully understand that sometimes they just have to go, just curios what all happens after the fact. I tend to doubt I'd eat one, they all seem mangy and probably carry a disease or two, but just wondering if it was the norm to do anything with them.
  19. I've got three and no problems. Even with the plastic pins. Don't know that I'd go for a polymer upper though, just seems like a not so great idea.
  20. I think there may be one in there some where. ;) I need to get a few pics of the wire cabinet that holds everything. It holds all those in their cases along with 2 complete AR lowers and there is still some room left over for more to come.
  21. Well the fact that she has/had a CCW permit comes to mind. She is a classic example of the "do as I say, not as I do" mentality that we so often find in elected officials. As for her cylindrical friend... Eww man, gross! Not the image I needed.
  22. The only issue I have with the sentence is that now the tax payers get to foot the bill for her room and board over the next 30 days. I would have rather seen her fined so she had to sell her "Rick Ross" jewelry.
  23. Made the drive from Ca to Nashville on I40 a few times. That's a nice trip with some great scenery. One things for sure, you KNOW when you reach Texas, all if a sudden you come around a bend and BAM big sky country. Miles of nothing as far as you can see. I love that drive personally. Welcome to Tn.
  24. What do you all do with the yotes after you've got em? Do you eat them or is it more about population control and keeping livestock safe? I thin coyote hunting sounds fun but not sure if I'd eat them... All the one I've seen up close just seemed mangy.
