  1. Guys throwing cobras. No f#cks were given. Big invisible dinosaur balls. One potato two potato three potato. That is all.
  2. Maybe you could wedge is shim the shells a bit? Something like a strip if folded paper that you could wrap around the shell to help give some extra tension and that would fall away when you took the shell out. Just throwing an idea out
  3. Not the only one thinking it by any stretch. I go onto the classifieds these days for cheap laughs, $1200-)1500 for a $700 AR?! $125 for 440 7.62x54R?! People, do your homework on the potential buyers here on TGO, most of us didn't fall off the turnip truck yesterday. Hit up some gun shows or armslist if your that desperate to turn a buck. Jeez! Back on topic, those are sweet six guns (and nine gun) you've got there, I too would like a neat little revolver to shoot some CBs. Of course, break tops are the bees knees to boot. Are these relatively accurate? I'm a pretty miserable shot so I certainly need all the help I can get ;)
  4. He needs to out this senior member, anything less is just letting them get away with it.
  5. Ups overnight. Was pretty reasonable cost wise, we spilt shipping and I think it was 10-15 bucks on my end from Memohis to Nashville. Not too shabby.
  6. I've had a handgun shipped to me from another TGO member. Everything went smooth, I sent a check, he sent the gun. No issues on his end that I am aware of, certainly none on mine.
  7. I shoot it all the time. Some people don't like it because its a bit dirtier than higher quality ammo, some people say the steel cases wear out the gun faster. While that may be true I've never had a problem with it and tend to doubt you will have to worry about the wear factor with your Glock. Not sure as if that's a good price as I don't have a 45 but if it is I'd jump on it for some range ammo.
  8. Every thing that uses a powder charge to launch a projectile seems to be going up. Except for six guns and shotguns any way. Makes sense for the Nagants in a way, out of all my rifles the Mosins are the only ones that have ever been (possibly) used as "assault rifles". Actually that guy seems to have a few relatively desirable peices there, a little high but some nice stuff anyway.
  9. You know, I don't see a reason to buy anything but pmags from now on. I've got a few Colt GI 20s&30s and I'll keep them, along with the three troys I've got, but from now on its magpul or I'll wait. Same for stocks and foregrips, there is lots of good stuff out there but I'll stick with MOE from now on.
  10. Is that really balancing on the mag? That's way cool!
  11. So how are the dues collected for the real prick club? Is there an annual fee? Do they take a check? Lastly, who wants to sponsor me for membership?
  12. Seems about the same as pre-panic gunshow pricing. Not a bad deal at all.
  13. So what was your dads rifle? Got pics?
  14. That's an F for Freaking Awsome! There are a few things I'd like to see changed, constitutional carry for one, no more TBI $10 background checks being another. Overall though after living in Ca for most of my life I'll take what's here with a smile.
  15. Thanks, just shared that with my dad. He a big fan of military bands so in sure he'll enjoy this.
  16. Ha! Little ass goblin gets no sympathy from me, what's that saying about playing fire? It's a lot of fun? Something like that anyway.
  17. I'm very impressed. If I could offer one but of hopefully constructive criticism, I would make it a bit longer on the trigger side to completely cover the trigger. It doesn't look like there's a lot of room but maybe enough for a rogue branch or something to slip in there. Of course what with it being cocked and more importantly locked, it maybe a moot point. Other than that I like it a whole lot.
  18. Very cool piece. I'm envious for sure.
  19. 25 a pop is not bad for these times. You could have paid less, but good luck finding that many elsewhere. You also could have spent much more, especially factoring in shipping for one or two here or there or driving all over the place to try and find one or two or even none locally. Your definitely set for awhile anyway.
  20. I think the benefit of so many coats isn't so much that you need that much to seep into the wood (although with some open grained woods you may), but more to build up the finish. Building is especially important if you plan on wet sanding and polishing to achieve a level and smooth finish.
  21. Yeah I've gotten them too. No biggie, I don't open them and they go straight to spam and then deleted. Weird though, I wonder if the DHS is sending them out in a sinister plan to see who responds. I'd be willing to bet OP will be on a train bound for the nearest FEMA concentration camp since he opened his. Oh **it! I wonder if we're all at risk just for reading it here?!
  22. TrickyNicky

    Which one?

Definitely a rifle. Hands down more effective for a wider variety of tasks. Luckily that's not a decision I have to make, in a situation like this I'd just clique up with my family and issue them the rest of the stash, between the lot of us we'd have all the bases covered.
  23. So $200 for a complete lower? I don't really need another, I've got two completes waiting for uppers, but if I did I'd wait for JoeBobs to get the New Frontiers back in at $110 complete. Of course if the last scare caught you by surprise and you want one fast, at least with these it looks like you get an "improved" parts kit.
  24. I'm not much for non reversible modifications. I'd say anything that can be undone is fine but I wouldn't go chopping off sights or cutting down barrels or such. Maybe swap out a the stock to something more comfortable if you like. I think these days there are so many inexpensive options out there that most likely you can find what it is you really want without having to carve up a historic piece. I will admit that I have been thinking about putting a scope on one of my Nagants, haven't done so yet, but the thought has crossed my mind more than once. I can tell you if I came across a bubba'd one that already drilled and tapped I would be tempted if the price was right.
