  1. That was a good one!

    Keltec RFB?

I think he's already got a good lead on the KT...

    Keltec RFB?

They run a small production facility that builds things in waves. They don't have the space or staff to run all the tooling all the time so instead they will set themselves up to make X amount of product 1. once or twice a year. As much as we'd all love to have KSGs RFBs and sub2ks their bread and butter is their small concealable hanguns so those get the most production time. Also pretty smart as the limited quantities drive desirablity up. For $1500 you could shoot it for a few months and if you didn't like it you should easily be able to recoups your cost here on the classifieds. Probably last less than a week here.
  4. I'm used to grocery stores selling beer, wine and spirits. The liquor stores still did good business with a better selection and better pricing. I'm all for it, it's a hell of a lot more convenient to shop all at once instead of making two stops. I can't see the original purpose for the blue laws in the first place?
  5. Keep us updated on your progress, I'm excited to see that old battle horse get a new lease on life. I'm sure your grandpa would be proud of you for getting it back in tip top shape.
  6. Congratulations, I wasn't all that interested in the platform until I bought one for myself. Now it seems like its my favorite rifle and I don't know why I resisted as long as I did. Once things get back to normal get yourself a 22 conversion and you will have hours of fun on the cheap. That is a seriously good looking example you have there.
  7. The more I look online, the more I'm thinking this can be done. It won't be cheap and easy but it can be saved.
  8. Buymilsurp.com has some 91/30 barrels available, they are about $20. I'd pick one up and see if your local smith can bubba it together for you. Barrel bands $5
  9. I'm far from being an expert but I'd be suspect of any gunsmith who gave that a clean bill of health. I'd there anyone out there making aftermarket Nagant barrels? If you just have to shoot that one that's what I'd look into, salvaging the bolt and action keeping the stock and getting a barrel made up for it. Likely it will cost you at least 3xs what the gun is worth but it will have sentimental value and may even turn out awesome.
  10. Yeah I think I'll buy from them again if they have something I want at the price I want to pay but no more hand select, wasted money I think. I think what really makes me upset is that the time Wideners had them for the same price with holster, cleaning kit and extra magazine but I cheaped out to save $35 on taxes. I've heard that the Wideners ones were nice too, wish I had seen the value in the extra $35 doubt I can get a magazine for that these days nonetheless the holster and cleaning kit. What that saying about hindsight? It's good or something?
  11. I generally leave mine or give it away. I've even been known to help others find theirs for them when it comes into my shooting space, you can tell some of them get a little uptight until I hand over the handful and say "here ya go". I usually find an old timer and give mine to them and they are appreciative. Now even though it's useless to me as I don't reload yet I'd get plenty pissed if someone came and started taking it with out asking. I'd ask for it back, and if they got huffy and threw it on the ground I might just be tempted to do the same, get all huffy and throw them on ground. More likely though I'd plaster a *hit eating grin on my face and say thank you so much. Angry people always seem to hate being thanked. I think I'll start keeping mine from now on, if I get into reloading it will be nice to have on hand.
  12. Deaf but certainly not dumb. Maybe he should try a little light reading on the subject of his duties, responsibilities, and authorities as a senator. After that he can take a long piss up a rope.
  13. Definitely a good sign. It'd be even better if it was here in Nashville though. ;)
  14. So this Monday I will be driving from Nashville up to Bloomington for manager orientation for my new job. Anyone know of anything fun to see on the way up? Maybe a good restaurant while I'm there? I think a few people here are from Indiana and I'm sure others have visited... I'm being reimbursed for my travel expenses so I don't want to really go to far out of the way, any ideas?
  15. I think right out of the box for the price there are few 22 revolvers being made that will compete with MK. I think the single six will compete with the accuracy and have a good trigger but it has the "limitations" of a single action. I'm in the market for a revolver myself but haven't found the right one just yet.
  16. Love my mkiii, its nothing special but its one of my favorite shooters. I've been thinking about putting in the Brownells upgrade kit but haven't decided if its worth it yet. The thing shoots so well stock I'm having a hard time justifying it without trying one first. I'm more into variety than having doubles but the Rugers tempt me very time I see one in the store or on here.
  17. These days 6.99 is a bargain. Even better to be able to pick up as much as you need. Good score.
  18. I think you just coined the replacement for douche bag right there.
  19. Well the armslist community has spoken. The post was flagged as spam and has been taken down.
  20. Ha, I do need to come up with a better system, right now everything fits on a few shelves in my bookcase but if I were to either introduce a new caliber or buy more of my existing ones I'd need to do something different. I guess it's not much of an issue right now, ammo being as scarce as it is.
  21. Well this will probably show my ignorance beyond a shadow of a doubt but what's the issue? Should he not have a trial? Should we instead hold him outside of US borders? I do agree that there is a very successful smoke screen of distraction happening with the conservative movement but at this point it seems as though we are bringing it on ourselves. In fact in many cases it seems as though the other side doesn't have to even try, if we're that bent out of shape over the president flying into NY for a night at the opera it seems likely they could just do whatever they want as long as they do something trivial to rile us up first.
  22. Ok I guess? I'm not counting it, it's hard to keep track as I'm still adding some occasionally and going shooting a bit as well. Here's most of it.
  23. +1. I feel almost guilty that I'm more pissed than saddened when things like this happen. I guess I've just become too jaded. It also doesn't help that instead of focusing on the root of the issues we as a society just tend to forget after a few days until the next tragedy strikes.
  24. Glad to see ya can't keep a goodman down or away from his sport. Have you had the chance to try the rig at the range? Just from looking I'm also wondering if it wouldn't be more comfortable to place the holster lower some how to let you arm extend a little more naturally, but then again it may feel more familiar drawing from around waist height.
