I'm more of what you'd call a free agent. A one man wrecking crew.

Share the sport with as many people from as many walks of life as possible. Don't discount that one neighbor with liberal leanings either. Getting people personaly involved is the only way we can win. Just a few weeks ago my mom and I took my aunt out shooting. My aunt is one of those hunting rifles and revolver only people, she never could see a purpose to having a semi auto nonetheless something like an AR. It probably doesn't help that my uncle is one of about a half dozen San Bernadino deputy's who still carries a six gun. Anyway, we took her out to the range and got her shooting the AR some and by the time she was done she said " you know, I've for a whole new perspective on this now. It's not just for hunting and defense, shooting is fun too." Now maybe it helped, maybe it didn't. I don't know how she would vote if an AWB were to come up to a vote, but I did at least get her thinking and put a face (mine) on all those "evil gun owners who won't surrender their rights to help save babies."

Shoot, just make the drive down here to Nashville. I'm never without a 12 pack or two, I'll give you some to get you you through your yard work.

Boltons has never taken me longer than 10 minutes to deliver the food to my table. :) They have a funny location, I feel like a crackhead ordering from them. You go in and there's a door inside, you knock on the door and a window off to your right opens up just enough to place your order and hand over your cash, then it shuts. 5-10 minutes later the window opens again and the gal says " your up". Get your food and feel even MORE like a crackhead because you find yourself ripping into the box before you've even made it back to your seat. If you go, get the chicken on a stick.

There is a big difference between selling/trading and giving/loaning. There's also a difference between a minor and someone who's not old enough to buy a handgun through an FFL. If the guy is 19 he is not a minor, this trade should be perfectly legal unless OP is an FFL holder.

Wow that is jacked up! I mean I understand the cost associated with deploying a bomb squad but still, you'd think they'd rather have the pros looking.
-
Please tell me you meant "Nothing to get your adrenaline going like having the trained proffesionals from the bomb squad looking through trash cans and rooms, Praying THEY don't find a bomb".
-
That is my understanding. It is indeed a Nashville thing.

Love me some hot chicken. Having said that bishops is good but its all about Boltons down in east Nashville. They are good people doing it right.

Obama asked: "who are we here to represent?"
TrickyNicky replied to Randall53's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Sorry, I've been avoiding the news for a few days now. Anyone able to fill me in on the low down? I'd particularly like to see a defeat speech from O. -
Last purchase I made with PSA really surprised me. First they actually had 22. AR mags in stock. Second they were only $15.00 a piece. Third they shipped the same week I ordered them. This was less than two weeks ago. Very much still in business.

Personally I don't go around eye balling guys from the waist down. Needless to say I couldn't care less about what kind of pants someone wears or how they wear them.

Sign me up for one of those!

All tools here. Having said that I take good care of my stuff.

Meh, saw the preview for this and another movie called The Animals or some crap. In either case I think an AR would be a less than sporting solution to the problem. I always get a kick out of movies like this were the bad guys come armed with knives and the victims crap their britches. It's be a pretty short movie trying that crap around my place.

How ya gonna build your TGO billet lower?
TrickyNicky replied to Caster's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
The more I think about it I may just build a pistol of some kind and then spend the bucks getting it SBR'd. -
I assume you mean lost or sold. Do not tell anyone you stole your new gun. Lol

Congrats on the 1000th post. It's easier than you think, I never thought of myself as the kind of guy to post that much but now I'm in at 1600+ in a little over a year. Crazy. I will also second your statement, TGOdavid has built is a mighty fine virtual clubhouse. Sure hope it stays this way for a long time to come.

TrickyNicky replied to a topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Thanks for the update on the progress. I think it would be cool to restore it to its former mil spec glory personally. Keep us updated. -
Haven't done that yet but I used to constantly get my thumb jammed in the buttstock cleaning kit hole on the sks as a kid. Also got the web in between my thumb and pointer caught in between the slide and barrel of my dads 92.

You and me both brother. Nothing I'd like more than to go back to getting my weekly shoot stash on Friday and hitting the range on Saturday. It will happen, this isn't the first time guns/ammo have been hard to come by and it won't be the last.
-
I'm sure they're loving it, the problem is that by the basic rules of economics the fact that they can't keep shelves filled at the current price point is sure to spell out a price increase. It is the gougers and the hoarders, the first time buyers and us, the guys who go through 500+ rounds at a simple day at the range and refuse to have less than 1000 rounds on tap per caliber.
-
DHS is not behind the ammo shortage. Keep in mind the shortage is for more than hollow point pistol rounds and 223. Another thing to keep in mind is that the DHS contract is just that, a contract to buy at a set price. It is not like they are actually purchasing billions of rounds at once.

There ARE 10,000 of those guys, that's the problem.
