  1. Can't get CCI mini mag, quiet, or CB shorts to work. Also a no go on federal bulk, federal match or Calibri.
  2. That's good to hear. I just bought my first Henry yesterday to do a little Mothers Day plinking with and it will not feed any of the 6 or so types of various 22 I had on hand at all. Called Henry today and have a shipping label in my inbox already. That was certainly fast. I'm really hoping they can work it all out for me so I can get it back by this weekend. I will say that it is a fantastic little rifle though. The action is nice and smooth and when fed one at a time the rifle proved to be quite accurate especially for what is essentially a "kids gun". I'm really looking forward to shooting up some of the 22short I've accumulated, I've got a bolt gun that will take them one at a time but nothing really fun to shoot them out of till now.
  3. Well definetly not a pump action shotgun. You would have been paralyzed with fear at that sound and would have definetly identified it for what it is.
  4. Don't see what the big deal is personally. If you have a job then that means there are rules to follow that go along with that job. I manage a small store where we still take personal checks. Want to pay with a check? No problem. Yes I'm going to need to see your ID and verify that all the information is current, yes you actually need to take it out and hand it to me and yes, I am writing your DL number on the check for reference. Don't like it? Fine, we also except credit/debit or good old American cash. A quick side note, my brother works for the BP down the road. If I go but cigs or beer I get carded every time. Now he knows I'm me, his coworkers all know me by name and even his manager and I are on a first name basis yet I still have to show ID. Why? It's company policy (or maybe policy of the owner, not sure). Not a big deal, and before anyone can say it, no, it is not one step closer to "show me your papers!"
  5.   Anytime. ;)   I've seen one of these big bastards once. No exaggeration I grabbed the handiest weapon at hand which happened to be a 2x4 with a nail in the end and started swinging. Landed a solid hit with the nail and I'm pretty sure I heard that spider chuckle and saw him shoot me the bird as he scuttled off. Creepy.
  6. Submitted for your approval I give you Richards spider.
  7. Sounds like he dropped it down the garbage disposal.
  8. Just got home and they had a bunch of cool stuff, lots of AR's, Glocks, magazines, they had a handful of M&P 22's for about $400-$600 depending on the model. Most important... Ammo! Just picked up 2300 rounds of 22. Shorts and colibri, still a bunch left for the next guy too. If you want it get it today, I'm most likely going back for more tomorrow.
  9. Damn your beard grew back fast. Or has it really been that long? Great looking knife as usual. I'm sure it's a beast.
  10. Hmmm the more I look at what you have and picture it in use in my mind I think two thoughts. 1. Something that could be mounted to your chair would be ideal like Red said. 2. Barring that wouldn't it help to have adjustable legs so it could be used easier on uneven ground? Maybe mount a few levels so it would be easy to adjust to make a flat surface. This is actually a pretty cool project, I wish I was handier so I could cobble some tables up for you to try out. BTW, nice shooting, those targets are looking good.
  11. I love my M&P VTAC. Easily my favorite pistol. Mine came with an APEX hard sear that the previous owner had installed. Love the trigger on it. The other nice thing about the M&P is that the switchable back straps really do make a huge difference in how the gun handles and feels in your hand. That's where I would look for a great first pistol. With your budget you could buy a new M&P and have plenty of money left for your second 9mm which you will probably buy a month or so after your first. ;)
  12. Looks good from here. How is it all held together? Is it stable enough to make good hits? The only thing I would say based on the photos is that while carpeting is more comfortable on the elbows, a laminate or veneer top may be more durable to the elements.
  13. Jets is best for reheating. In fact, jets is the best hot, cold or reheated. Mmmm, BBQ chicken pizza....
  14. Meh, I've got better things in mind to spend money on personaly but I sure wouldn't say that no one needs it. The whole briefcase thing is kind of lame IMO but I do like the idea of an AR that can quickly be assembled like that, it would probably make for a good get home gun that you could leave in the trunk. Heck I think I could fit that along with 5-6 loaded mags under my spare tire. Also not really following the logic that this is somehow any more deadly or scary or even different at all functionally from a standard AR. Oh Shoot's AR is meaner looking come to think of it.
  15. Good to hear things are calming down somewhat. I'm still waiting for all the aholes who resell ammo to stop showing up though. Or keep showing up but selling their ammo at or below Walmart pricing.
  16. Somehow I knew by the title of the thread that this would involve dynamite. Made it 26 seconds in and had to stop for now.
  17. Wanna let me borrow it?
  18. The old nuckle duster, cooler to look at than to use I would guess. Even though it does three things, I bet it does none of them well. I'd rather have a Ruger revolver to utilize as a gun and bludgeon. For a knife I'd... Use... My knife.
  19. What we have here is a case of a country (Mexico) who can't/won't take responsibility for their own problems, couple that with a "leader" who loves to blame his own country (USofA) and you have a recipe for the international $hit salad we have here. Surprised? No. Disappointed? Disappointment doesn't scratch the surface.
  20. Wow. Yet another childs grave used as a soap box. Really have no use whatsoever for a cricket but I think maybe I'll pick one up anyway. I do love they idea of causing some dumbass a lot of heartache over nothing.
  21. Interesting, how many rounds to a brick?

    RUSH

Saw them a few years ago and they put on an awesome show. You can definitely expect a crowd of mixed ages, keep your eye out for the girl, there's always one at a Rush concert. ;) Hard to believe three guys can make such a ruckus.
  23. Love my m69. If you got that one and hated it you could most likely recoup your investment pretty easily.
