I would agree with this but I tend to doubt that most gays are abusive. If we as gun owners start getting on the bandwagon of blaming a whole group for the actions of a few we may as well just give up now. Oh wait, this is different. This is for the children.

Duck dynasty....not as dumb as it seems.

Parts if the show come off as heavily scripted probably because the "actors" have had to say and do the same thing 12 time in a row while the producer finds the perfect shot. The fact that some of it IS scripted also comes into play. Even so, there seems to be a strong base in reality with DD that is very lacking in most reality TV. It's one of the most enjoyable shows on the air right now I think, it's the only thing my whole family can sit down and watch without bitching. -
In my experience 8out of 10 Kirby salesmen are tweakers. I had a buddy who tried to join their sales force and just couldn't take working in that environment. They wouldn't even see the inside of my house, I can yell through a door just fine.

I think the Amish Mafia would do very well not to piss off the redneck mafia though, just sayin. ;)

Two thoughts, 1. It is recently vogue to label products as "homemade" or "Amish made" when in reality it is nothing but massed produced crapolla. This is a tactic used by scumbags capitalizing on the quality of Amish made goods. 2. If you want the freshest tastiest peanut butter invest in a vitamix. These are industrial strength blenders that can turn raw or roasted peanuts into real fresh peanut butter. A little bit of peanut oil and sugar are optional if you want to replicate the taste and consistency of store bought. Or for a real treat try throwing a handful of honey roasted nuts or almonds or cashews into the mix. The blender is pretty expensive but well forth it IMO. It can turn a half a potatoe a carrot and some pre cooked chicken into hot soup in less than 10 minutes using cold tap water and stock as a base. That's how fast and powerful it is. Ours just burned out after 12-14 years faithful service aka abuse.

I used to work at a store that specialized in high end (read: $5,000+) acoustic guitars. We were power sellers on eBay and I can say with a good degree if certainty that eBay generally takes the buyers word as gold. If you have an issue, between PayPal and eBay you'll be covered. One caveat to this is if the seller lists a statement selling the item as is or needs work. Then things can be a bit trickier but if your buying an item listed as new then you should be good.

To funny, I lived all over the valley at one point or another. When did you move to TN?

Very cool, his long range stuff was pretty impressive. Anybody have any idea how his scope works?

As infamous as he is I had never heard of him until TGO. Hell I think he's just down the road from me, if I didn't know better I'd be glad for an FFL that close. I guess what I mean is that this small world we live in can be a pretty big place sometimes.

Fantastic. Hopefully it doesn't come back looking like it spent the last 6months getting dragged behind a truck. Even if it did I'd still be happy just to have it back. The real question is do you still own it? If your insurance carrier footed the bill on it when it got stolen it may be theirs.

Hah, I used to live and work in Canoga Park.

Assuming they don't melt in your glovebox. ;)

Good luck and have fun. See ya when you get back.

Depending on what it is I've got a good source for pre mixed nitro in aerosol form...

Personally I'm with you 100%. Haven't been to a gun show in almost a calendar year. For me I decided that the parking price and the ticket price and the $8.00 glasses of coke just weren't worth it for me. If I want to shop guns I make a tour of a few local shops and am much happier that way. I guess both of us are making it better for those who want to attend by not showing up, I just can't see the draw anymore. The gun shows of my youth were so much better, I remember walking through several airplane hanger sized buildings packed wall to wall with sellers from all over the country. The buildings were on average about six times larger than any of the shows I've been to in the Nashville area and there were usually 3-4 buildings open at a time. Guess I'm just spoiled.

Was I in the wrong yesterday while buying my shotgun?

Sounds about right to me. Guess it just depends on how you said it. Doesn't sound like to big a deal. I would have played really dumb on the whole phone number thing and asked if it was a new requirement or a store policy or what, then just say I don't have a phone cell or otherwise. Of course after that you pretty have to make sure they see you pull your cell to check the time. Of course the flip side to that is I generally don't have an issue with giving out my number anyway, seems everyone wants it these days but I still never get solicitations. -
Or a Ruger for that matter.

A couple funny videos to waste some time.

I watched this last night and kept waiting for the punch line. And waiting. And waiting... If this guy wants to do the 2nd Ammendment any favors he should quit while he's behind. -
You could go .45 with it to match up with your (Krauts) other Savage. I always thought that was an interesting caliber for a bolt gun, definetly not typical.

Well usually I would be up for a good clean and lube but in this case I don't think it will help. It looks like the chamber and the feed ramp are slightly offset creating a "step" that the nose of the round dives right into. If I put some pressure on the lever while trying to chamber a round the nose has significant damage where it hits this "step". This is consistent with shorts and long rifle. Called them yesterday, the call lasted about 3 minutes and by the time I hung up I had a shipping label in my inbox. I'm going to take it down to Nashville Armory where I bought it and they will send it in for me.
