And isn't funny how now as stock is showing up again all over the place, the mag prices have dropped back to pretty much normal? Almost like it never happened. ;)

where can I get a receiver drilled & tapped?
TrickyNicky replied to BigK's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
Jeff over at guns and leather. It's a bit out if the way but IMO well worth the extra 20 minutes. As a bonus you get to go to guns and leather, that's worth the trip all by itself. -

Armed March on D.C. called off

At first I thought he came to his senses, then I read the article. This monkey dick needs to stop talking while he's behind. -
Walmart still sells ammo?!

Sorry, no dice. There is a world of difference from "can't" and "won't". To put it into perspective gays 'can't' join under the old rules. Christian children 'won't' under the new. Though I suspect its more to do with the parents than the children. This is the same crowd who had some not very cristianly things to say about that Muslim that wanted his pig farming neighbor shut down because it offended his religion right? So if your Muslim and something offends you, tough $hit but if your cristian and something offends you, then I should care? Got it.

Freedom's Steel II Goes for $25K
TrickyNicky replied to Oh Shoot's topic in Knives, Lights, EDC Gear
Well it's just a little out of my price range but man I'd love to own that. Thanks for sharing OS. -
I really want to check out the dragon next time I'm in east TN. My problem is it would be in a car and with my luck I'll hit some unlucky sob going in and out of his/her lane. Guess I'll pass. :(

That sounds like a killer deal to me! One I'd take any day of the week anyway.

I know what you mean about ruffling feathers. Some of the crap I read online makes me want to go source a Finnish M44 with all matching numbers and see what kind of fun me and the Dremel tool can have. "I guess since I'm going to drill and tap for a rail I don't really NEED a front site anymore..." "Yeah, all the numbers used to match but check it out, I used the engraver attachment to make the bolts serial number into my birthday. Nifty huh?"

Uh, my answer hinges on one very simple question; Is that wicked Wanda handling that EBR in your avatar? If it is, she's right, your wrong and that's that. If its not, she's still right and your wrong, but at least it's a darn good shot. Seriously that is some very impressive shooting for your first time out since your accident. I'm young and healthy and I'd be damned pleased with that targets. Have you had any luck yet building a range bench to strap or mount to the chair? Once you've got that you'll be hitting in the red every time. :)

Some people take the silliest crap so seriously. I am I guess a purist at heart but I also have no qualms about taking something that I own and butchering/modifying it to suit my purposes. It doesn't happen very often as I've learned the hard way through experience that some things either can't be undone or its too much work to be worth while. Stuff like this though is a no brainer, its a drop in stock with no real modification needed. Hang onto the original stock and it all goes back to stock in minutes. OP,do keep us updated when you get some range time. The more I look at it I may just have to get both this AND the Archangel. Of course I'll have to buy two bubba'd rifles but I guess those are the breaks.

That about sums the issue up nicely. Personally I think it's pathetic. These days they make the news instead of reporting it. -
Good Ruger MkII / MkIII Reassembly Video
TrickyNicky replied to StPatrick's topic in Gunsmithing & Troubleshooting
I loled! Seriously though my MKIII has well over 8k rounds by now and has been cleaned maybe twice. I doubt I will ever strip it again at this rate. If the barrels fouled I run a wet patch or two through it and if the action starts looking too grimy I just spray some balistol down there and wipe out the chamber with a qtip. I may look into a lite model or other 22/45 and if so I doubt I clean that one ever. -
That could be, I am far from an expert but seem to remember both hanging around the 4-6 hundred range last year. I don't know, obviously I should have got when the getting was good but I didn't realize how much I wanted one until they dried up.

Anyone else notice that while the price of AR's is dropping weekly it seems AK's are still going strong at about double what they were 6months ago? I've been wanting to pick one up for awhile but there's no way I'm spending $800+ on a Yugo/Romanian AK. That just seems crazy to me, even unconverted Saigas are getting $200-$300 more than they were. So what do you all think is the reasoning behind this? Less of a supply? More demand? More important, will we ever see the $400 AK again?

Ammo is finally coming back!!! (I think)
TrickyNicky replied to LenoirGunner's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I've been noticing an improvement in Nashville, still bare shelves at Walmart but a few of my LGS have been getting ammo pretty regular. Pretty soon we'll things come back to somewhat normal, we just need to not go out and strip the shelves bare again just because we can. I may even starting shooting up some of my current supply soon. -
My Revamped Yugo Tokarev
TrickyNicky replied to surfcityred's topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
Some may not like the colors but them some are crazy. That looks awesome man, great job. -
I went with a cheapo Winchester brand model on sale at Walmart. For my uses it works well enough that I would probably buy another if I needed it for a different rifle. It's not the most stable with its legs fully extended but it works well enough for accurate plinking.

Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. Thank you Robert, you have summed this matter up quite well IMO. It's somewhat surprising how many people find homosexuals to be completely immoral and untrustworthy yet at the same time would deny gay boys the opertunity to join an organization centered around building morals and trustworthiness. I don't get it.

Me too. I was an Indian Guide. Much cooler and straighter.

I think Chads post should have read "straight". How long has it been since we've had a good ole TGO gay debate anyway? Seems we're overdue...

Red Jacket Firearms Mojo brake on my Saiga 12
TrickyNicky replied to reed1285's topic in Show and Tell
Looks pretty nifty, I'm not hip to all the brakes vs flash hiders etc. what are the benefits of the design, or is it just to look cool? Either way it looks good.
