I'm not too worried about that. Look at the amount of attention this case is getting now that its gone to trial and them compare with the OJ case or the Casey Anthony trial. We're still getting reports on it but nowhere near what any of the "sensational" trials command. In fact the only reports I'm hearing anymore are coming from here or the msm IF I go looking for them. This is the same reason I'm not worried about riots, I'd be willing to bet a bag of wooden nickels that the vast majority of folks inclined to riot are not even paying attention anymore. Maybe they'll get off their butts hours or even days after a not guilty verdict comes in, once someone (Sharpton etc.)tells them how angry they should be and reminds them. Maybe I live under a rock but I've not made much conscience effort to follow the trial cept on here and I gotta say if you don't make the effort you just don't hear about it. Maybe if GZ or TM was an NFL linebacker former or current it would be different, in fact I'm sure it would, but for now its going to take some effort to sensationalize the matter so enough people care one way or the next.

This put me in a bad mood.

What cracks me up about the hate for that Glock is I'd bet even money most of the haters would wet themselves at the chance of owning a revolver modified ala Fritz. Personally I'll save my hatorade for those who permanently disable weapons by turning them into rebar or worse (shudders) art. As long as the weapon works, its all good with me, just some make decisions I wouldn't is all. -
Your right, gas tube roll pin is what I was referring to. And of course I was referring to the delta ring assembly as wel. I do have the short tube and mounting hardware for it already but it looks like the short tube will sit in the parts drawer since I'll be going with a longer one. The one I have picked out is not pinned but I think a set screw. I'm going with a railed block to install iron sights, not unlike the o e pictured above.

So after doing a bit of shopping it seems like what I wanted to do just isn't going to happen on this one. I had read that an 18" barrel uses a carbine length system but that doesn't seem to be the case. So since all the barrels I am looking at use a rifle length system it seems a rifle length guard is in order. Being as that's changing I may as well go back to my plan of a long barrel. So now I have my barrel, handguard and gas block all picked out, I've got my gas tube picked out as well. Fo I need a crush washer doing a free float build? I've seen a video from Brownells and it didn't look like he was using one? Also, do most gas blocks come with their own roll pin? The one I'm looking at doesn't say one way or the next.

Ok so I guess I do have another few questions. If my handguard is only 6.75" long, and I want to do this What length operating system am I looking at? Am I pretty much in pistol town or do will carbine work? My limited research tells me carbine length should be fine but I'm just wondering what you all thought.

Adam Kokesh loads shotgun in D.C.'s Freedom Plaza

This guy seriously needs to quit while he's behind. It's monkeyd*@ks like him that make it easy to discount gun owners in general as a bunch of wracked out lunatics. -
Honest opinions on Sig mosquito's please.................

From the horses mouth. Er, from the horses website anyway. Not quite sure it counts as it is a removable adaptor, but asking as it works I'll be stoked. -

They goofed ya. According to an email they sent me awhile ago they are now making these with a threaded barrel and I thought the barrels were available to purchase as well. Maybe I'm making it up in my head, I'll go back and check my emails from Ruger and post up if/when I find anything. -
I got about half way through. Too weird.

I'm looking into a threaded barrel pretty quick myself. You going with the one Ruger put out awhile back or have you found an aftermarket option you like? -

My Walther P-22 will eat absolutely anything and is super accurate to boot. Of course, my Walther P-22 is in reality a Ruger SR22. If you want accuracy, the ability to feed anything, a good build quality and have it all backed by a company who will back their product you should be looking at the Ruger IMO. -
Even if it came from a gun control state if its original owner was LE and it was purchased through a LE organization 9 gets you 10 it came with standard capacity mags. I'm guessing it either dates back to the Clinton era and was not a LE trade in or its more recent and isn't an LEO trade in, OR it is a LEO trade in and someone somewhere along the way kept the standard mags and left the neutered ones.

That's pretty BA right there, killer job.

Arguments? Here? Never! Just some good discussions with some passionate folks... Welcome aboard!

WAITTAMINUTE?! Your not the guy who tells me when to register with Sig. What's going on here? I'm in anyway, maybe I'll have a bit of luck this time.

I thought he was making a reference to my extremely profound question about smilies? Two Nicky's? Just what the world needs... ;) Ok, really hope this works... This has got to be the most obtuse statement yet in a thread awash in ignorance. Are you really stating that because its not your church that its no church at all? We really need to get Saur Craut involved in these convos, right now its a total sausage fest in here and it's starting to feel a little homo. Just sayin.

Magpul floods Colorado market with mags.
TrickyNicky replied to vontar's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Love it. As much as I like Magpul's decision to leave over the new law, I love the way they are fighting it to the end. -
That's pretty cool, by next season that fawn will be world wise enough that you'd never get that close without it bolting. Your poochie seems pretty intent on recusing it.

Had a very disturbing conversation last night
TrickyNicky replied to Dolomite_supafly's topic in General Chat
Sounds to me like you were either being trolled or you had the dubious honor of speaking to one of the 5-10% of LE that gives the rest a bad name. Should have had some fun with him. -
Seems like there may be a humorous story here somewhere?

Welcome aboard Fusion2! This is a great group with some very knowledgable folks. To jump right in on your question, I would personally look at a 20gauge if your surgery left you unable to handle the recoil of a larger shell. In fact if it has left you pretty seriously disabled and you run the risk of further damaging yourself while practicing with your new weapon then you may want to look into the 410 as well. Plenty of people here are recoil junkies or are otherwise keen on bigger loads and while I won't argue that they are more effective, the smaller ones can also be very effective as well. Remember you do need to practice every once in awhile and a personal defense weapon doesn't make any sense if it comes with a risk of doing yourself harm just to keep your skills up. Heck my moms weapon of choice is a .22 . She's not the most accurate person out there (though she does ok in her own right) and it's not a big ole man stopper of a round but she's able to get practice in and IMO very few criminals are likely to stick around to find out if she's Annie Oakley with a hand cannon or a sweet old gal with a plinker.

Where do those smilies come from btw? I only know how to build ;) :) and :( How do I get ahold of the little rolling around guy and the eye rolling guy? Those would come in handy around these parts...

Whatever, the kind of animal that tears up places in retaliation seldom leave their own neighborhoods. I do feel bad for the good people of those neighborhoods though, not mention the firemen, emts, and leos who will have to respond. Hopefully the good reasonable people in those areas take control of their communities and keep the bullsh*t to a minimum.
