  1. That's pretty much it. They have been irrelevant for years, bet shock tactics are the only way to have a decent month anymore. I will say on that end I bet they would put just about anyone on their cover if it shocked enough people into buying tha rag to see "WTF up with that?!" I'm a take a page out of your book TMF and go ahead and say that I wish they would be gang raped by a pissed off group of rhinos.
  2. He pretty much nailed it, screw em. I do have to disagree with "OVER THE PAST 5 YEARS, ROLLING STONE HAS BECOME LESS AND LESS ABOUT MUSIC, AND HAS BECOME MORE AND MORE ABOUT BULLS**T" Rolling Stone has been going downhill much longer that, this is a new low though.
  3. If you want to really make a statement, mail it back to them with a note asking to cancel your subscription. To each their own and not trying to knock anyone but I have had the time of day for RS since I was maybe 12.
  4. Thoughts and well wishes coming in to you and yours Tanker.
  5. Welcome Mark! I'm also from Nashville and customize guitars. Just got started "building" and finishing as well. You'll like it here, the TGO crowd is a good one.
  6. “No child should ever have to be afraid to walk peacefully down the sidewalk without being attacked because of the way they dress or the color of their skin,” state Rep. Larry Miller" Couldn't agree more. What does this have to do with SYG though? Before anyone answers, I ready know. Nothing. Not a hot damn thing, once again we are treated to another example of the "do something, anything at all" mentality that is so prevalent anymore. I have to say if I were black I would be furious with my "representation" from all these as$holes. Stop stirring the $hit and let us all get back to it, life's hard enough without living in a constant state of outrage.
  7. Congrats ninjychop, as Hipower mentions, this will most likely be the first of many. It took along time for the gun bug to hit me, I've always had one or three floating around but a few years back something inside of me decided that any money spent recreationally should go tword guns. Now I'm currently looking for a good dumpster to live in so I can start using rent money to feed the need. It's a good thing.
  8. Well since I'm reconciled to the idea of dumpster living I think I'll be in good shape. I've got no wife (probably because no same woman would put up with my BS and I'm allergic to insane women anymore) so I think I'll be ok. All I've gotta do is get a few shopping carts welded together and my storage/transportation issue will be a thing of the past. Yup, I think I'll be juuust fine. Thanks for the generous offer though, it's to know I have some friends willing to step up and save me from myself.
  9. It is the 9mm. Setup for Glock 19 mags. The grip is a bit stubby for my tastes but certainly enough room to work with. Once you put in a magazine you don't really notice the lack of room in the grip too much. I'm going to really enjoy shooting this one, I can already tell. :)
  10. Nashville Armory had one more when I left, screw waiting on the gun fund and double screw the panic. Go buy it and be one of us cool trend setters who are planning on living in industrial sized waste receptacles. It's the wave of the future...
  11. I was kind of skeptical until I read Tiger Balm. That stuff is amazing!
  12. Your not the one who's gun habit is moving him closer and closer to the poor house.
  13. This. I am really tempted right now. Do the right thing, pull the ad and save me from myself lol.
  14. Happy day indeed. I've been looking for one for awhile so glad to finally cross it off the list. It's a neat little gun, the price is right IMO ($409.00) in fact the only "downside" is that now I need to start stocking up on Glock mags and you know what that means right? Yup, time for ole Nicky to buy a Glock. ;)
  15. It happened again. This is becoming too much of a habit. NA has once again been on the receiving end of my wallet today. I swear I didn't stop by with the intention of buying anything but low and behold they happened to have a piece I've been wanting for awhile now (me and half the country apparently). So anyway I may be forced into moving into a dumpster soon, but at least it will be well defended. Hey, maybe Nashville Armory has one out back I can live in?
  16. That's the problem, it WAS pulled off and it wasn't an accident ;).
  17. Wow. And people applauded that?! I could probably rip a fart that makes a more logical statement than that. I'll tell ya I applaud Sam1 for being able to translate what she was saying.
  18. What a dipsh*t. :) He better not ruin iphone porn for the rest of us.
  19. Put it up in the classifieds. If the price is fair it will likely be gone within a week. I know I'd certainly entertain the idea, though doubt I would commit as the timing is wrong just now.
  20. That's a shame. I like Stevie Wonder and would definetly pay good money to see his show live, guess that's not happening anytime soon. It's a damn shame that so many in the performance industry decide to get so politically involved that they won't perform for their fans based on how they feel about issues unrelated to music. Now don't get me wrong if I were a touring musician I wouldn't be playing any KKK rallies or anything else I thought was morally offensive either. I guess it just takes a bit more to actually upset me. The Nuge still performs in Cali, of all people he is able to put aside politics and put on a show for his fans, I think that's classy. I'm also reminded of the stand that Ray Charles and others took during the civil rights era refusing to play in state that had Jim Crow laws. That was something I could get behind, this just seems stupid.
  21. I also have a VTAC and love it. Mine came from another member here and has the Apex hard sear in it, might have their trigger kit too, don't remember and have nothing to compare it against. The last time I had FO sights prior to the S&W was on a BBgun as a kid, either my eyes were so good I didn't appreciate them or the FO on that Crossman were junk cause I never cared for them until giving them a second shot on the M&P. After some more time with the pistol I have come to the conclusion that the small still work best for me. The only problem I have with the large is the amount of swell the large backstrap puts into my palm. The small is nice and streamlined and just feels more natural to the way I hold it. At the end if the day I'll take either size on the M&P over most other pistols.
  22. KKing Member Since 07 May 2013 Post Count 133 DaveS Member Since 26 Jun 2008 Post Count 4,344 There's some telling information above, not only has DaveS been here forever but he is also a subject matter expert in the hunting sub forum IIRC. He is definetly NOT a troll. He has an opinion that is just as valid as any of ours and feels just as strongly as we do. I think he is wrong personally but at the end of the day that's neither here nor there, its HIS opinion, he owns it and can do with it as he pleases. Don't think I'm tryin ta pick on ya KKing, I'm not. I've argued a bit with DaveS and it can be frustrating as he seems pretty well set in his ways and unwilling to listen to reason but I don't think he is a troll anymore than I think you are (and BTW I don't think you are either).
  23. WTF?!
  24. Great rifles, hard to beat for the price if you like milsurp stuff and want a cheap plinker. I love mine and would definetly grab another for the right price.
  25. How old and what's the model number?
