WWII vet beaten to death by two black teens
TrickyNicky replied to mav's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
It's ok guys, clearly this is a case of the under privileged rising up against their white tormentors. <sarcasm> Seriously, I'd love the chance to put the boots to these guys. -
For what it's worth I think there are many better choices for a fun range gun. The Ruger is a solid dependable weapon that would be A great HD option but I think it's just a little uninspiring to shoot. Accurate, sure. Dependable, you bet. Fun, meh. Pretty, beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose. I've recommended the Ruger to several people including family who aren't really "gun folks". It's a fantastic piece as far as it goes but for someone like you who's particularly wanting something fun for recreation, I dunno. If you wanted to hang onto your ammo for SHTF and wanted a solid gun to pack away with it, I'd recommend the Ruger for something like that.

I'd recommend a Henry to be sure. I Love my youth carbine model, lots of fun and more accurate than I am. Given he is an adult you may consider the full size models but don't discount the youth model till you've tried one.

Black Dog 22lr 26 rd Mags @ 44mag.com

That's a pretty good price. Bought a 10 pack awhile back from PSA. Thought that price was great at 15 per. Thanks for the heads up! -
I'm still in. Maybe a matched set depending on pricing.

Which Nashville Walmart was it? I've got some time to kill...
-
Tell em bull sh*t and ask to speak to a manager. If the manager gives you trouble get his/her name and report them to Corprate. It's the only way they'll learn. I have it first hand from the manager of my local Walmart that there is no cutoff for ammo, only guns and that's simply because the TBI closes. I hate this kind of crap.

Fair enough, you seem like a reasonable guy Dust and I've personally enjoyed reading many of your posts. I do think its bad form to essentially discount NA as a bunch of money hungry monkeydicks, but I guess we all need to vent sometimes.
-
I can't help but wonder, did you speak with a manager at all about your issue or just pay and leave in a huff? Even though it was no one else but you who pulled the trigger, is be willing I bet even money a manager would have stepped up and "make things right" so as to have you not leave upset. I'm sorry but aside from being a sponsor here, I have spending a lot of money at NA and regret not a dime. I have found that in my experience the crew who is responsible for the day to day operations is a stellar staff, second to none. D&T and Guns &Leather set the bar very high for me in relations to how a gun shop should be. I won't say NA is any better than those two, but it certainly holds its own as far as fair pricing and stellar customer service are concerned. In fact while they were hard to get during the panic, NA was one of the very few local shops NOT marking up their products by 100%+. Remember when the SR1911 was a hit commodity? They were selli g used all day at $800.+ NA sold them new for $750.00 all in all consistent with a shop that values their customer more than money. To say they are shysters is IMO just wrong. They have had many opertunities to screw me over and never have. In fact they have always gone out of their way to be accommodating to me and mine. I'll even go so fAr as to say they are the furthest thing from disreputable, exemplary is the word that comes to mind. The bottom line; You signed up before you shot, they, by your own admission make their policy well known BEFORE you get on the range. You screwed up, you had pay. To come on here and moan about is no more than sour grapes. I hope this thread is locked and deleted before someone who doesn't know better passes up a great shop based on the fact that you have ill wishes for the company due to your own shortcoming. Guess I'll have to pickup the slack and buy a membership since you won't be gracing them with your presence again.

"I wanna kill. I mean kill, bleeding burnt dead body's, veins in my teeth I wanna kill! Kill! Kill!" Then you'll both be jumping up and down yelling "kill! Kill! Kill!" And they'll say "kid, we've just got one more question. Have you ever been arrested?"

It does with some of us. ;)

While its well know that fashion works in a circle, it may be time to let those bad boys go sir. ;)

Any of you guys remember how back in the day EVERYBODY closed for Christmas? I remember clearly as a little kid we had a tradition to get up, look under the tree(but not touch anything) , go to church and the way home stop by one of the three open businesses in town, a bagel shop. Then we'd go home and eat bagels while unwrapping presents which took all day with our one person, one gift at a time policy. Shoot, go into a pizzeria and check out some of the wierd stuff you find on pizza these days. I remember when pineapple was an exotic topping that most people I knew thought was wierd to have on a pie. I remember playing with toy guns at school and carrying a pocket knife in the 5th grade. Also the solid steel playground equipment of my generation. God, it used to get so hot in the summer but you still couldn't keep us off it. I feel its really sad that I'm only 28 and can clearly remember when things were different. Things need to stop changing.

You need to go back and rewatch BigK, Ted ain't dead, just paralyzed. I think Jesse is going to suicide or O/D on heroin. There is a possibility that he may end up a catalyst to Walts demise though. With his head were its at its hard to say. Hank is going to have an absolute breakdown or heart attack, possibly a chemically induced one... Skylar is going to gather the kids, a huge pile of cash, and cut town. Then there's the riacin. Might could be for Skylar for packing up the kids. Might could be for Hank. Could be for Jesse. I don't think it's for Walt himself. Walt is if nothing else a survivor, even if he were to off himself he would do it much less painfully. Lets also not forget that chemical lady. Throwing her back in the mix could be a distraction but I tend to doubt that she is go e for good as suggested by Skylar. As wierd as it seems I hope Marie ends up with the kids and they live happily ever after. Doubt it, but I think that would be a nice end for them.

Man I wish I could like this more than once.

Seems very reasonable to me. Also nice that they took the time to send a response that doesn't reek too badly of a form letter. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure 100 of those same responses went out at the same time but at least they took the time to make it a good one. Plus you got thanked for your business, how often does that happen anymore?

That is an awesome deal right there. I spent $350.00 on just an upper assembly (no BCG/charginghandle) last sept or nov and thought that was a great deal. Considering how the times have changed since then I'd say that this is a steal.

That and the fact that Hiesenburg is spray painted on the interior walls really says to me that this show will not go down quietly.

Can't believe that no one else has brought this thread back yet. Did anyone watch? "If you don't know who I am, your best course is to tread lightly." Freaking epic setup, can't wait till Sunday so we can see the follow up.

Woah woah woah, there's a 223 revolver?! Just when I thought "I have enough guns" you have to lay a bombshell like that on me. Thanks G, thanks a lot.

What part of Nashville are you in? My peppers went crazy this year? Here's a pick of a few peppercini. Heck, even some of the smaller ones were the almost as big around as a beer bottle. Of course these were in pots with excellent drainage and great food too.

Facial Profiling causes Duck Dynasty's Jase to be kicked out of NYC Hotel

Please, please, please let one of them boys run for and win ANY public office! Well ok, maybe just Willie and Phil. As entertaining as it would be to watch Si adress the state of the union and go visit foriegn officials, maybe for the good of the civilized world we should draw the line.
