  1. C&Rs are great. Just keep in mind that the days of the cheap surplus rifle are about over anymore. Recently I've actually given consideration to turning mine in or cancelling it or whatever. Seems there are just not a lot of cool toys to justify it anymore. Sure there are many guns that aren't military surplus that are elisgable but honestly I think it my be better to just purchase those normaly and not have to keep a bound book. Most likely I will wait it out and not try to cancel or turn in my license but I doubt I will renew in 2015. YMMV
  2. Well clean as a whistle anyway, still sounds like a tuba though.
  3. Sounds pretty strong, good thinking.
  4.    Oh no my friend, I've been downing them 2-3 at a time. After the 3rd day your colon is so clean the gas doesn't even register on the stink-o-meter.
  5. <cough cough> Krystals <cough cough>
  6. Looking good sir! What did you end up doing to the metal to fix it up?
  7. Oh man I've chowing down on those fiber one bars lately. I've got so damn regular its irregular... Gas is funny though, and LOUD!
  8. Fantastic! Hope you enjoy your new job... Good luck too, stay safe.
  9. I don't know who Krauthammer is but he's right this time anyway. Not. Going. To. Happen.
  10. That's right Randall, the work load increases and the employee moral go down the tubes at the same time. Vandy has a long reputation it has built over many years for top notch care and service. Wonder how long it takes for that care and service to also go down the tubes? Can't wait for the real punch line to this sick joke to drop. Once the people who thought they were signing on for free qualitty healthcare realize they really signed up for over priced crap. Hang onto your hats guys, this is just the beginning.
  11. Oh that's definitely Unclejack, he's nuttier than squirrel sh/t. :) Me, I'm battier than a guano reef.
  12. Just an FYI and trying to be a a$$ but you do need to be a benefactor to post want adds and then you'll have the best luck in the classifieds. It's well worth the cost as we have ALOT of members that don't actively use the forum but still become benefactors to buy and sell. Once again to be clear, NOT trying to be a jerk, and certainly not calling you out, just trying to help.
  13. They do have armed personnel at all times, just like our military. Not everyone is armed at all times though, again, just like our military. What I think your getting at, and please correct me if I'm wrong is the recent tragedy in the DC Naval base/shipyard (not sure). If that's right it is surely a tragedy but as CA Willard has pointed out, you don't need everyone armed all the time. It's not practical for at least the reasons he pointed out and likely many more if you take time to really analyze the pros and cons. Having said that, I do think its silly that there are not more armed servicemen on base.
  14. Well I can't explain everything but FYI the armed agent of the EPA and Social Security office ARE law enforcement. They have a set of very specific laws they enforce, but are still law enforcement. Much The same as an ATF or DEA agent or even US Marshalls. They don't enforce ALL the laws but are LE just the same. YMMV, but that's just the way it is. Also worth noting that not every employee of DHS is armed none the less armed at all times, same with secret service.
  15. Thank god SOMEONE had the gumption to try. The question has kept me up at night for too long now. Tonight I sleep the sweet sleep of the informed. But seriously, that looks pretty awesome. Good job.
  16. She had her own along with a CCW for awhile at least. Not sure she still does, somehow she may have gotten wind that it seriously weakens your case against having and carrying guns when you do in fact have and carry guns.
  17. Any Metallica/Nintendo fans will love this. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=N3xFmN8sYig
  18. I'm confused, was that really a movie about a guy who works for Metallica, then the world ends but its ok because he worked for Metallica? Anyone have a plot summary? WHAT DOES THIS MEAN??!!!
  19. Can anyone here really say they are surprised? We've already seen the bitch use the graves of children as a podium for her tyrannical BS, why would we possibly think that she would have enough class and dignity not to do the same with the graves of our servicemen/women? Two words, Fu(k Fienstien.
  20. Tanker, sorry for your loss. It sounds like your dad was a hell of a man, glad you were able to have so many good memories with him. As to the question, hunting means a lot of different things to different people. Who's to say what's real or not? The only time I've gone no one got anything. For many that would be a failed hunt, for me the time spent with one of my best friends was surely not wasted time. As to the canned hunts, I'm not to much in favor of it for the most part. Like anything else there are always exceptions, but for the most part it's just not real IMO.
  21. Those Opinels are sweet. Pretty a folding razor out of the box, at least all mine were 15 years ago when I got a few. Be doubly carefull with those.
  22. I looked into this last year and found that for the most part it's tough to get in as an apprentice unless you already know somewhat what your doing and have your own tools. I talked to a few smiths and it IIRC the consensus was basically "if you want to be a gunsmith start buying tools and cheap broken guns. " if you have enough time and money the Colorado School of Trades has an excellent program, as does one of the big trade schools in one of the Carolinas. The impression I got was that for a good smith to bring someone on and train them is asking a whole lot. You'll slow down their work flow and possibly their work quality should they let you work on a customers gun. They need to at least feel comfortable enough with your skills to not have to worry about you messing up. Are you looking to do this as a trade or hobby? If the answer is trade, you need to get formal education somewhere anyway if you want to be able to market your self to customers and employers.
  23. I think you'd be fine for the most part, if you mean like the inside of a reciever, that would get painted as well with the outside. For small internal parts, you would have the gun completely stripped and either not take the finish (if there is even a finish on them) off. What are you planning on refinishing?
  24. My personal thoughts are that a POTUS can be any race, religion, orientation or whatever floats his boat provided he serves the people, is faithful to the United States Constitution, and doesn't go around making our global image any weaker than it already is. Obama has done the exact opposite of what a POTUS is supposed to do. I don't dislike him for being Muslim, I hate him for being a POS POTUS.
