  1.    +1. I wouldn't do a thing to it until I had a few folks more knowledgable than myself check it.
  2. An oldie but goodie. And true to boot.
  3. So when does Sadie become part of the pack as opposed to just a temporary resident?
  4. Forget about the ancient Greeks, just look at them over the last few years.
  5. 4" groups would "satisfy" my PDW needs ok I guess, like you though I would be mighty disappointed if that was the best the rifle can do. I want any limitations for a rifle to rest where they belong, the shooter. I can handle a 4" group on my Nagant at 100 yards, bigger than 4" in fact. My being able to except that is based on the fact that its MY shooting opening up the groups, not the rifle.
  6. Plus the hash brown casserole. Mmmmm.
  7. Rifling can be hard to pick up in photos, from what I can see though yours appears to be strong. Plenty of life left in that old girl!
  8. I'm usually a pretty good tipper. By that I mean 15-20% I'm not sure when/how it happened that some servers feel 25% should be standard though I've heard that from several. In fact, I was in a resturaunt in Massachusetts last month and they were "kind" enough to total up my bill and give suggested tip amounts printed on the receipt. Their suggested tips started at 20% and went up to I believe 30% My server got 20% which I think is fair considering I'm probably the easiest patron in a restaurant at any given time. Hope she didn't mind getting a "bottom rung" tip, when you start at my ceiling that's what your in for. My few rules are to determine the correct tip and then round up to the nearest dollar, when paying with cash I do the same thing plus leave whatever coin I get back in my change as well so actually its mostly over a bit. I've been in very few situations where I wouldn't tip at all, I think its more to the pint to leave a grossly insulting tip than none at all, like .67 cents on a $20.00 tab. That should tell them something right there. Another thing I found out through friends "in the industry", if your ever in a <ahem> "gentleman's club" and actually want to have a shot at one of the employees, the WORST thing you can do is be a big tipper, unless your talking 100s of dollars. The best bet is to completely wait for the girl to finish up her set and then when moving on to the next stage to check out another dancer, make eye contact with the girl who's finishing and giver her $2.00 for every song she danced, then walk away. Later in the night when you go outside for some air or a smoke, guess who shows up outside...
  9. WooHoo! Congratulations! Now to spent 100x the original amount on accessories...
  10. Been posted for some time. Personaly don't see the draw, my sister makes better biscuits and the rest of the food is on par with a Cracker Barrel IMO. It's kind of cool to bring out of state visitors too, but even then there are better places. Places that also aren't posted. It seems that the new owners have really let the place go from its past, what was once a nice downhome eatery is now basically a tourist trap.
  11. I've been looking for a barrel like the second one down. Order placed, thank you. :)
  12. "It's a gun range, so there's going to be noise unless I put a silencer on every gun," said Baker. "I can't do that. We try to be good neighbors, but I can't say there won't be any shooting because I own a 20-lane gun range. There's going to be shooting out there." Seems pretty reasonable to me... I do feel for the guy somewhat though, I'm sure the attraction of a range moving in next door would wear itself thin before too long. Oh well though, what're ya gonna do?
  13. So I noticed that the city and state is already engraved on the side in the test photos, anyone know if that is enough to satisfy NFA standards?
  14. You don't need to apologize to me brother, like I said I'm only trying to let you know so as you don't run afoul of the powers that be. IMHO, which don't count for squat btw, the thread probably doesn't need to be pulled so much as reworded. JMHO though. Legitametly though, the benefactor status does make it pretty easy to find what your looking for locally. Good luck on the hunt whichever way you go. :)
  15. Excellent Mr.Brian! Looks like you got yourself a good one, hope its a good shooter.
  16. I like the grips but everything else is pretty much spot on.
  17. I saw one awhile back as well, I have to agree with your observations, not for me.
  18. He was technically right. The best kind of right. If you want to get a few laughs ask them to look up your donation history and think long and hard about if they want to harass someone who already contributes $30,000.00 annually. Bet they trip all over themselves trying to explain how they didn't already know about your contribution schedule.
  19. I would probably ask them if they are a school or not. If its run out of someone's home I wouldn't carry without permission, but that's just me and its a matter of respecting the property owner.
  20. No, we had a seed we were wanting to crack but it wasn't viable. Looks like a good haul though.
  21. Love it! That is a sweet looking piece for sure.
  22. I think I'm taking a page from Dolomite's book this year. I'd rather vote for the known opposition than the a$$holes pretending to represent me.
  23. Well I love the constitution as much as anyone but I have to agree here. If you let this young man start handing out things (anything, even the constitution or bible) willy nilly anywhere he wants then you kind of start something you don't want. Then all the crazies gathering signatures or harassing people over THEIR beliefs can start doing so anywhere anytime. There is a procedure for getting permission for these activities, if the guy didn't take the time to research that then what can I say? We wouldn't be getting upset were it the communist manifesto being handed out, both are political documents, just you and I and probably everyone here agree with one, some though agree with the other. I'll pick something else to be outraged over for tonight.
  24. Neither Obama nor Bush had anything to do with arming agents from either of those agencies. In fact to the best of my knowledge he hasn't armed ANY agency that didn't previously have armed agents. If anyone knows of one I'd be interested to hear though. I'm still not quite sure what all the hoopla about his "civilian army" is. I would think the only civilians worth having in an army are the type predisposed NOT to follow an unconstitutional order. Of course even that is still giving the matter more creadance than it deserves, so far all we have are a few quotes from him about how we can pull funds from the military to give to bums, that and a series if articles routinely proven false complete with photos also routinely proven false.
