Brown Actually Vetoes Some Anti-Gun Bills
TrickyNicky replied to Oh Shoot's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Jerrys a real POS. what absolutely confounds me is that I have many friends in Cali who are dyed in the wool gun lovers. AND SOME OF THEM VOTED FOR HIM!!! Absolutely crazy. Like Raul said, that lead thing is bad news, even for us over here. Previously lead had already been banned in a few areas of Ca for hunting, but it was kind of a joke because those areas were either in places that you couldn't hunt anyway, or in areas where you might could hunt, provided you dont mind sitting around shooting seagulls. Maybe a few good hunting areas affected but not many. Looks like someone wised up. -
Kentucky Says "No More Post Game Handshakes at Highschools"

  I like that! -
Your right Red, more and more. Maybe too little too late but soon I think the only ones in his corner will be the die hard left wingers.

Kind of makes you wonder how long it takes for the same thing to happen to the Robertsons. Lord know in the last year or so the amount of Duck Dynasty crap has multiplied 10 fold.

FFL Carries Responsibility for Selling New, Defective Gun?
TrickyNicky replied to a plinkin's topic in General Chat
I'm with Smith too, the only times I've never checked where when I was dealing with reputable shops. It probably helps that I buy through TGO vendors 98.99% of the time. In this case though it sounds like the OPs hands were tied on inspecting it due to gun show rules. Just another reason I don't go to shows anymore. I did have an issue with a Henry I bought from Nashville Armory a few months back. We checked it out some at the shop, we being myself and one of their sales team. Everything looked fine, got it home and it would not feed any of my 22lr or shorts. Since I have about six varieties on hand to try out I determined it wasn't being ammo picky. Called NA, they said bring it in and we'll check it out. Brought it, they looked and ended up sending it back for me. A few weeks later it was on my doorstep all fixed up. Ruger will most likely make it right for you, you'll be out some wait time but all in all not too bad -
FFL Carries Responsibility for Selling New, Defective Gun?

The FFL should be willing to help make things right. Which he is by sending into the factory IMO. As to the state data base question, TN hasn't got a state database so nothing to worry over on that. I'd sit tight and give Ruger a call later this week, explain the situation to them so they know exactly what they're looking for, they should take care of you. -
I don't think this is such a good plan right now?????

What the hell has Issac Newton have to do with it??? ;) -

What Sam1 said. I certainly don't call the shots here as to what you can or cannot post, and I'm not aiming my comment just at you. I think that WE collectively have become the boy crying wolf, by we I mean those that can look past our xboxes and smart phones far enough to see the crap that's happening. Unfortunately there are those out there <cough> Alex Jones <cough> that use our concern as an industry and are becoming rich at the cost of causing alarm to a susceptible audience. Just the world we have I guess. -

I've got no excuse, I should know how to spell it. Wait! I thought of an excuse! Bush did it! -

I tend to doubt personally that Marshall law will be declared over something like this. To be perfectly frank, I don't believe Marshall law will be enacted even if this happened in every major city in the country. We're not talking full scale riots but rather protests. There is a difference, anyone who's been even remotely local to full scale rioting should know this. Might as well add that I'm getting weary of reading about Marshall law in general, seems some folks have turned into the boy who cried wolf. A congressman takes a dump at 03:00AM and the next thing we know we're reading about how Marshall law/race riots/ FEMA camps/ etc. are to shortly follow. How are we supposed to know what's really serious if we're all going around jumping at shadows all the time? I think this mentality actually plays right into the hands of "them". We distract ourselves with so much stupid $hit that we effectively blind ourselves to the issues that matter. In other words, I do hope the truckers rally, I hope it's a huge inconvenience to our political "leaders", and I hope that it helps wake up even one person. -
Sports equipment banned in NY school
TrickyNicky replied to EMB145's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Well it seems pretty cut and dry. They quite literally don't want kids to have balls growing up anymore. -
I got nothing on this one. Course I'm a bit tired and my phone is set to lower res to conserve data. Yeah that's the ticket...

Input about 22lr conversion kits for AR15's
TrickyNicky replied to thescoutranch's topic in Long Guns
Another vote for the CMMG kit, mines the regular parkerized finish though, not stainless. Tons of fun and if I do my job right I can get the bulk of a magazine inside a target the size of a squirrel head at 15 yards without trying too hard. Don't think I've taken it out to 50 yards, not sure how much groups would open at that range, 25 yards isn't much of a bigger group than 15. A bit bigger but not too bad all things considered. -
I'm going in easy on the candy bars these days, my teeth are too sensitive anymore. :( It's ok though as I've always been more of a baked goods guy anyway. Chocolate chip cookies, or even better, Oreos. Dunk them in mill until they're nice and soft. Mmmmm. I think my favorite though are the chocolate muffins from Costco. I can literally eat a four pack in one sitting if given enough milk. Sooo good!!

I'd say darn near as accurate as the MK series, maybe not so much past 25yards but even then that's most likely my own issues over the gun's. I like the longer sight radius on the MK and I think that's a big part of it for me.

I'm with Ted on this one, the SR22 is a great little pistol. Smaller than a MK so about perfect for a youngster, yet with the larger grip he won't outgrow it. Plus it looks more like "dad's guns" than a MK, which will make him happy. Mines very accurate and has been about as reliable as my MKIII. The MK has more rounds through it by a lot so I won't say its AS reliable, but it has happily eaten every kind of bulk and match ammo that I have crammed down its pipe.

Dub step is pretty brilliant, don't care for the actual genre to much, but the video is pretty great. Stonehenge takes the cake for me I think, it's just pretty funny all around. Not as good as Spinal Tap's song with the same name though.

Just as a warning to everyone, most of these guys songs are decidedly NOT kid friendly. I like them personally, but this does seem to be the one and only SFW song I've found.

In it to win it. Thanks Runco.

Na, purt sure ole Ted were jest jesting.

Well said, nothing wrong with the country, just the A-holes running it.

I get the same thing on the iPhone. No joy.
