Yup, what he said.

That's kind of my thoughts as well Tanker. Had they never come out and been so vocal about leaving I never would have expected it, had they said they were staying right were they are to keep up the good fight, I would have applauded the decision. Saying you'll leave and then staying is not too cool though. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt though, it must be a logistical nightmare to run that company under the best circumstances, throwing a move into the mix would certainly take some time to set up and it has only been less than a year yet.

You mean magpul? I was wondering when/where they would end up moving...

That's pretty much the goal for my brothers build as well. I've got a complete lower floating around that I'll give him, plus a free float carbine length handguard, I'm buying him the barrel, and I'm loaning him my vortex red dot and magnifier combo. That just leaves the upper, gas block, gas tube, BCG &CH. Plus I'm going to help him build it... He should have about $300 invested when all is said and done. Of course that's not including any upgrades he may make later. After typing all that out I have come to the conclusion that I am being hosed.

Yeah, I thought about picking one of those as well. Cash is a bit tight so I passed. Anyway I need to learn more about pistols before I go around dropping coin on one.

Where are the American made C&R eligible guns?
TrickyNicky replied to a topic in Curio, Relics and Black Powder
What Garufa said. Remember, there is a world of difference between military surplus and curio and relics. The hard part isn't finding C&R guns, they're all over. The hard part is finding dealers who will ship to your door and otherwise honor your C&R. -
Agreed. A fine first pistol. :)

Well why didn't some one say so?! That looks like an awesome shingle maker brother. <EDIT> I can't get the smilie I wanted to work. Imagine there's a smilie shooting you the thumbs up here.

If anyone's looking, Midway USA has/had AR Stoner barrels on sale for $104.00 5.56 1 in 9 twist M4 profile 16" Chrome Moly Phosphate. Picked one up last night for a build I'm helping my brother with. I was happy enough with the last AR Stoner I bought that I figure for just over $100. it should be a good buy. They usually sell for I think $120. so not sure if it counts as a "great" deal or not.

Uh, what? So is that like an axe? Cause that looks a little like an axe...

My Noveske KX3 was delivered today...damaged

That brought a thought into my head, I wonder if we'll ever see relicing come into fad in the gun community? I can see it now, "for the bargain price of $1,200. your brand new DPMS can have the look of a cherished war horse..." -
They are neat, look cool and go bang. I guess it would help to know what for you want it? If its just a range toy then go for it, anything else and I'd have to recommend looking elsewhere. Remember, as cool as they are, a Glock 17/19 can do pretty much the same thing and has actual practice uses as well. If you just want to mag dump 30+ rounds grab a Glock and a fun stick. If you want to look super cool doing it, the Tec9 is a good choice. My buddy calls his his duck gun cause when he pulls it out, people start ducking. Once I get in the market for a 9mm "duck gun" of my own, I will probably pick up a masterpiece arms mac10 clone/copy.

Congratulations on the move up!

I like your bedspread, the guns alright too. But seriously, that's well done. What is that thing on the end that looks like some of crazy doctors tool? -
Keep doing what your doing Spots, hammer out those chord shapes and get your picking in time, the rest will fall into place in its own time. I never could read music and tablature was even worse, in fact not much real music theory stuck with me either. I learned how to play my chords and how to make the different shapes for them up and down the neck, now when I want to learn something I start with a chord chart and figure out or make up the rest. I'm not a great player but its kind of like shooting, I'm not great but I have fun.

I took the plunge! Taking donations for lunch money

That's pretty nifty. What is it? -
Even though I mostly feel the same regarding rifles vs handguns in an offense/defense type roll, I still voted yes it should be legal. The reason for that is that there are plenty of uses for a rifle that involve neither. Sadly, we live in a world where this change will probably not happen, even sadder is that that may not be such a bad thing given the world we live in.

Assaulted: Civil Rights Under Fire Update
TrickyNicky replied to a topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Having lived in LA for the bulk of my life I'm truly shocked to read some of those reviews. The LA Weekly, Variety, and Reporter are very much so liberal run papers, you must have said some real truth to get those kind of statements, that alone tells me this is worth watching. I look forward to checking out the trailer and eventually the completed project as well. -
I'd also check AIM as well, they usually have good pricing on Magpul equipment and were doing free shipping on magpul products. Not sure if they still do free shipping but it doesn't hurt to check them out.

I'd almost think you would need some kind of clear epoxy type finish on regular bamboo, even then with it being so brittle I'd have doubts as to how hard it can be used. Unless it were laminated, I guess them it would be plenty strong. Of course I'm sure there's plenty of bamboo handled knives out there to prove me wrong on all accounts though. Looking forward to seeing what Unclejak can come up with.

Cool video of bobcat eating a gut pile.

How freaking cool is that?! Anti-hunters who are against "anything left to rot" should see this. If it weren't for this hungry little guy something else would have been along promptly I'm sure to put the rest of the animal to good use. Pretty amazing to see natures clean up crew in action. "It's the cirrrcle, the circle of life..." -
Responsive is right. Just got off the phone with them myself, if their product is HALF as good as their customer service we are all in for a real treat. That's right, I said we. As in, me too. :woohoo:

Wish that were the problem. I didn't even get a chance to input my payment method. :( Guess I'll call in the morning and see if there's anything that can be done. If not, looks like I don't get to join the TGO receiver club. :(

Advice then, smart a$$. JK,
