    Close Call

Just saw this and wish to express how glad I am that she was not seriously injured. I too have gotten the Dad's nightmare call of an accident in the night. I have also conducted more "Next of Kin" notifications than I care to remember. Your family has been blessed.
  2. The signed one is sold, the rest are still available with carton. I have not advertised them anywhere but the original post on here.
  3. Just to add to the discussion in case it helps you or others...I have a Kubota 2013 BX series. It did the same thing you described in your initial post. I found that it actually has two in line fuel filters. One easily accessible but the other is deep within the frame structure and requires a contortionist to change. Once changed all was good. I also ran into a similar problem on the wiring / seat. Mine would start but not turn off. I had to manually activate the fuel shut off solenoid under the hood. Long story short, I found that the seat had pinched one of the wires coming from the seat safety switch which shorted and blew the 5a fuse to the fuel shutoff solenoid. Repaired the wire, changed the fuse and all was good.
  4. Where's the pitcher?
  5. Prayers for Sarah, you and the whole family. My wife is a 19 year survivor of Stage 4 breast cancer and still going strong.
  6. You have reeaaalllly over heated
  7. I've had them all. Chev/GMC same/same. For what you are looking for I would say Ford hands down. I pretty much lost all interest in GM trucks in the mid to late 90's and personally think Ford has prevailed since that time. Two thumbs up to Luckyforward on the Rangers. I have had them as well and found them to be great little trucks. I currently have a Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport that suits my current needs. It like all my other Toyotas of the past has been an excellent truck. I think Dodge makes the prettiest truck on the road, but the prettiest girl at the dance isn't necessarily the best girl for the long haul. JMO
  8. Doesn't matter whether it is a small town, big city or federal govt. They all play the same game. If you don't get the money you want, tell the world how bad it is going to impact your services by voicing the cuts that would illicit an emotional response. In towns, the school boards always want more money. If they don't get it they voice how they will have to cut student bus services requiring parents to transport to and from schools and or subsidized lunches or special ed classes. They never suggest to cut the new office furniture or conference travel etc. This elicits an outcry from the public which forces the councils hand and more often than not, the schools get what they want and pot holes don't get fixed, police training budgets get cut, again, or they decide the fire hoses can make it another year. This is the same BS game at a federal level. No way they will cut free housing, medical etc. for illegals, or maybe reducing SSI payments to those that should not be getting them, (which this alone would help to solve the whole SS concern) but we can't do that because it would cost votes and perhaps a loss of control. Maybe we could quit giving money to all the Green Energy startups (and soon to collapse once the money is in hand) that the politicians have financial interests in or EV interests for that matter. I could go on and on but I have ranted enough. I'm old enough that I am tired of watching the same BS games played out at all levels of govt. and even more tired of it watching work on the ignorant masses. JMO
  9. Memphisfornia. Slowly moving East to include Nashfornia
  10. That truck would reaalllly look good on me.
  11. During my law enforcement career I spent many years on the tactical team as entry team lead, primary counter sniper, Field Commander and the last 5 years as Team Commander. Along the way I was tagged by others as Tacops. I am old now and the name doesn't truly fit. I have thought of developing a new more appropriate handle but not sure how to do it so that folks know it is me and not just another newbie to the board.
  12. Well...let's see, perhaps the IRS (Soon to be the new "Federal Police") judging from the amount of ammo and weaponry IRS has purchased in the last 10 years. Added to the new required skill sets they have listed on their ads for new agents. Tin foil hat off now. Maybe.
  13. From what I read this depends a great deal upon the pharmacist. Once the med is prescribed, required forms must be signed in order for the patient to get prescribed meds. Then the Pharmacist must report to TBI who in turn shuts off the ability for the patient to purchase. This prohibition remains in effect until the pharmacist again files necessary report to release the prohibition. This is unwanted/unnecessary requirements placed on the pharmacists. I see them conforming in order to sell the prescriptions. I see no motivation, requirement or penalty in place in the event the pharmacists do not follow through with the release documentation thus allowing the patient to once again purchase firearms. I see once you are on the no buy list, you will stay on the no buy list. I agree with the above, some people who could benefit from these medications will refuse treatment.
  14. If you go with an underground system, I recommend you take a picture when you lay it to show where it is in relation to landmarks. This helps when/if you have to ever repair a break in the wire. It is easy to install by simply using a flat blade shovel to cut a slice/flap in the ground that you can slide the wire under and lay the flap of sod back in place.
  15. I have a PetSafe underground system that I have had for about 20 years, around about 2 to 2.5 acres. It has worked very well for me. All of my Boxers have responded great with it once trained to it. I do recommend following the training concept.
  16. Marlin Owners have a forum?!
  17. I am fortunate in that I do my shooting in my back yard.
  18. Glad to hear you and Rosie are OK. Sounds like she deserves a few extra treats and head pats.
  19. It's been a little over 3 months and I am happy to say that she is pleased with the knives. We had a discussion about hand wash, dry, air dry, then back to block. She is doing well with this and so are the knives.
  20. small drill bit to drill small pilot hole then use very small coarse thread screw or tap to get a thread bite and pull.
  21. I have been waiting and watching for one of those to pop up for sale.
  22. Let's see, right off the top of my head: Bersa Thunder .380 - I have several and have yet to be disappointed. Taurus revolvers in .22,.38 and .357 - I have had several over the years with never a problem and they were all fine shooters. I still have several in .38 and one Taurus Tracker 6" .22 that is more fun than a drunk squirrel. PSA Dagger Compact - Relatively new to the market it is a "Glock 19 Knock Off" by some folks descriptions. I like it far better than the Glock and put about 300 rounds through it last Sunday adorned with a Vortex Venom and it ran like Grannies sewing machine. I think it is one of the best "Bangs for the Buck" on the market as far as compact 9mm.
  23. I'll take #3...oh, wait, dang missed again!
  24. I use the Chamberlain outdoor wireless motion alarm system. I have one on the 300' driveway which works very well. I added additional transmitters around the property perimeter and zones set to different tones. (1, 2, 3, 4 beeps etc.) this tells me from which direction or sensor zones have been activated. I also have one located inside my detached garage in the event some one made it inside there. They can be beaten if you know where they are yet they are concealed. I have them set to prevent my dogs from activating them. On rare occasions I have had deer activate my driveway sensor.
