  1. OK...that explains it.
  2. I have Peltor and have been well pleased. I can't really speak to the others. Have used them for hours at a time with relative comfort.
  3. Now is the time to avoid the run up. Dig deep and get what you need then relax and watch. I have watched four distinct run ups now and have yet to see ammo go back down to where it started from. The cheapest I have bought Lake City 5.56 in the last two years was $309 per thousand which sold out in a blink of an eye at Wally World. Prior to that was $279 per K. Those days are gone. It used to me much cheaper than that but then gas used to be $1 dollar a gallon too. Buy now, store safely and sensibly, no worries.
  4. Let's see, yesterday provided a scope mount for the PTR-91, 1000 rounds 7.62x39, 1000 rds. 9mm and 500 rds. 7.62x51. The truck hasn't run yet today.
  5. I found the this description in a WalMart ad indicating 2400 lumens ... "The Odear® Super Bright Outdoor Handheld Portable Cree T6 LED 2400 Lumens Rechargeable Flashlight Torch Searchlight Lamp is certainly that and will be a excellent acquisition. "
  6. Ditto...but you could add a sweet 1894 Marlin in .357 just for kicks, I did.
  7. Mattel ?
  8. Like all good Southern Boys...I tip my hat to the lady.
  9. Sorry to resurrect such an old thread, but, I just had a craving for some fish and cheese sandwiches and opened a box of "Mrs. Pauls" crunchy fish sticks, 44 count. Well the count was the same but the fish sticks are no bigger than my little finger now. Much smaller than they used to be ...AAARRRGGGG!!
  10. I am without words, I can only offer prayers and condolences. Our Veterans and current service men and women deserve so much better than than this, something has got to change.
  11. OK, now I'm hungry.
  12. Just one wrist rocket here but I do have two extra sets of tubes and a yard full of ammo.
  13. I have big hands. The 17 fits my hand better than the 19 which felt awkward. Both are good weapons. Pick it up, it it feels good do it.

  15. From your description I would say you are good to go. I have been in the same situation on several occasions through my career and only once did I have to fire. As it turned out the animal had been a terror to the area for several days engaging both animals and humans so there were no complaints.
  16. My point is, I question whether this guy is even real, or simply someone acting the part for the sake of fabricated fictional propaganda. Granted, I have seen some real doozies out there.
  17. OK, I realize there are "those kind" out there within the gun community, but this has a distinct air of liberal initiated/fabricated propaganda to promote the cause kind of stuff. Just sayin'.
  18. I have several of the Bushnell TRS-25s on various weapons and have been pleased with them. I have other optics as well that cost a good deal more but bang for the buck, the TRS-25 is a decent red dot.
  19. I just dropped 19 big ones on a new Timex at Wal-Mart. I guess I will have to pass
  20. I have to second the vote on Miami Classic. I wore several different brands until I got my Classic. Wore it daily for many years. That said I have no doubt as to the quality of anything from Black Hills Leather. I have a double rig from Black Hills Leather that I special ordered. I spoke with Rudy several times on the design and It was perfect in every way. You can't go wrong either way.
  21. Congratulations! You are now my Hero. I dream of such.
  22. Thanks for sharing your experience. I lost my Dad too soon nearly 25 years ago. I have many great memories, yet still regret all the memories we didn't get to create. Cherish your memories and your loved ones. Thanks again,
  23. I don't have a lawn, I have a yard, about 3 acres of yard. It's all green.
  24. I have had several .357 wheel guns over the years, but my 4 inch 686 and .357 Marlin Carbine have a forever home here. I am currently looking for a .357 single action just for back yard fun. I should have never sold my brace of Vaqueros.
