  1. $1 for a bag of 100 men. Great war games with firecrackers and BB guns. I left divisions of these in the dirt at every childhood home.
  2. Ditto Oil of Clove can be bought at most drug stores hanging on a rack as a kit with applicators (Q-Tips) it works very well when you are caught like this. I have used it. ...and I think it is time for a new dentist. Once when I found myself in a similar situation and my dentist wanted to prep the playing field with anti-biotics before the pull, I drove to small town nearby with a country dentist. I told him my problem and he asked what I wanted him to do. I told him I wanted him to put his knee in my chest and pull the sucker out. He did.
  3. Just look at all you have to look forward to Healthy as a horse until June of '22. Routine chest x-ray showed "something to be checked". CT scan showed "something to be checked", and subsequent biopsy showed stage 3 non-small cell lung cancer of the upper right lung. Surgery to remove most of the right lung two weeks later (fun) that resulted in Radiculopthy of upper right quadrant of chest and right arm, still present. and can't breath for $hit. Challenge to keep 02 above 90 with any sort of activity. Chemotherapy that resulted in tinnitus of the left ear for life, 30 days of radiation that resulted in calcification advancement of the coronary artery to 70 %, then 12 months of immunotherapy infusions that just ended in Dec 23. Hoping that the side effects, fatigue-rashes-itching etc. of the immunotherapy wear off as i get further away from the treatments. Last CT scan I had showed "No recurrence of disease". Next CT scheduled for early April, fingers crossed. (Prayers much appreciated) Still working but I don't know for how long, I'm tired. In spite of it all, I wake up every morning and thank God for the wake up. I can relate.
  4. Thanks to this thread for reminding me. Mine expired two days ago so I have to hit the web site and renew before the weekend.
  5. I'm 64 and was healthy as a horse up to 62. The last two years have been quite the challenge. Thankful to be here. I wish you all the best and a successful recovery.
  6. Nice starter kit...
  7. Shame you aren't on the east end of the state. I found myself with .40 ammo and no .40 weapons. Of course the only logical action to take is to buy a .40 caliber weapon.
  8. Looking to buy an excellent condition Uberti 1873 color case hardened .357 lever action with 20" inch barrel. Cimarron or Taylor would be considered as well. I would just order one but wish to look at the woodgrain before committing the dollars and have not found any in any LGS on the east end of the state. Thanks.
  9. Great guy to deal with, feedback left on profile.
  10. I have an extra one. Sent you a pm.
  11. Gol-dang Red Box is almost as hard to find as a phone booth.
  12. I have a 94 Winchester 30-30 (Early 70s), a Marlin .357 Carbine, Rossi 92 .357 Big loop Carbine , Browning BL-22 .22 Carbine. I have a serious itch for a Uberti 1873, 20 inch octagon barrel, .357. I haven't found one in a store on the east end of the state, or offered as private sale. I hesitate to order for I want to see the wood before I commit the money. Maybe one day.
  13. 2011 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport, just turned 100k. It will last longer than I will.
  14. They said there was not a tipster that earned the reward. If so, I would like to see the reward money given to the fallen Officer's family.
  15. I just checked mine. I fear I am way past the date and even started "bulge" some.

    Toby Keith

Toby and I have had many beers in the garage on summer days and evenings...well, actually, I have had many beers while Toby's music played on the garage stereo. The whole valley gets to hear "Courtesy of the Red, White & Blue" whenever it comes on. Fortunately, the folks in this valley are right-minded. Rest in Peace Toby.
  17. I have boxes of these full of slides from when I taught homicide / death investigation courses. Slides aren't suitable for family gatherings though.
  18. I worked the gun counter at Service Merchandise in 1980

    Snow

I may be crazy but I would try it. It looks like it would be tasty.
  20. You went out on a limb to vouch for him in order to secure employment. He should respect and appreciate that enough to not be putting you in this position. I would be inclined to tell him to shape up, yet do it as though trying to help him meet expectations in the event he is not aware that he is sandbagging. He owes it to you, not the other way around. I really wouldn't care if it hurt his feels. But then I guess that might explain why I don't have many friends.
  21. If it walks like a duck...
  22. To whom ever bought this gun, congratulations.
  23. Naw, he didn't say they were in the car/truck. Now that might be a little harsh.
  24. I have both and prefer the Dagger. The trigger is not as good as some but not so much as to bother me. The grip feels much better to me than the Glock.
  25. February 2012 for me. Time has sure flown by.
