  1. Will we need #4 shot and full chokes to take out those crazy slanted targets?
  2. Is this thing on? It may just be you and me, Robert.
  3. Me and my Garand will be there! Who else is bringing the old wood?
  4. Thank you, sir - hopefully we'll see a few more Garands at the rifle side match in November!
  5. Like you said - all you had to do was put the pellets on the steel. I'm going to have to practice that a bit more I think...
  6. Brooks knocked it down just fine with a cylinder bore and 7 1/2's, but I couldn't knock it down with an improved cylinder and #6's. Go figure
  7. If you shoot a 3-gun match with a 1919A4 semi-auto you will be EVERYONE's hero. It doesn't even matter what your score is - you'd get a million point handicap for the coolness factor!
  8. Naw - a group of us were talking about all showing up with Garands (unoffically, just for fun) at one of Robert's matches, but I've forgotten which one. I thought I might leave the FAL at home for once and bring a REAL rifle!
  9. Is this the match in which everyone was going to bring Garands, or is that the November match? I don't have a trench gun, but I could do a Garand, GI 1911, and an 870...
  10. I'm thinking since Gallatin was rained out last week this will make a good first match at Dickson for me. We'll see you guys there!
  11. Just curious - I've never shot a "big" match before. How many stages can I expect, and what kind of round count?
  12. You know, he didn't specify - maybe that was the trick!
  13. That was really too bad - Sean said he was going to so it in 88 seconds, with zero down. I would have liked to have seen that! ;-)
  14. Are we shooting rain or shine?
  15. My wife shot some video in order to help me practice better: [media=] I also got a few stages of Sean (Shawn? Shaun?) and Robert along the way, but didn't want to publish anyone without their permission. If you want to see it let me know and I'll put it up - unfortunately I think the files are too big to just email.
  16. Some of us needed a higher round count to make the same amount of hits - but you're right, it was very fun and challenging! Thanks to all the KY guys for their hard work and hospitality -
  17. Looks great - I can't wait to see the faces of the guys that get beat by a pink pistol!
  18. No worries - I always shoot against the mousegunners in my head anyway. Now I'll be doing it for real :-)
  19. Reading through the rules posted on your site - can I shoot in the Heavy Metal class if I just download my Glock 30 to 8+1, or do I need to bring the 1911? Or does it not really matter as I'll be the only Heavy Metal shooter there anyway?
  20. I know this is just a guess, but can anyone give me an idea how long these typically last? Are there typically 20 shooters or 200 shooters trying to get through 5 stages? I really want to come shoot, but I have my daughter's birthday party to get to that evening...
  21. Very interesting - I've never shot at Dickson before and this looks like a good time to start. I read through the rules, but I didn't see anything about magazine retention. Do I need to bring a dump bag, or are magazines allowed to hit the ground (empty, of course)?
  22. What a beautiful day for a match, and an UNBELIEVEABLE turnout! Thanks Robert for all your hard work - I'm sorry I had to shoot and run, but I was already in trouble and had to get gone quick...
  23. I'll be there! Is anyone else shooting an FAL, or will I be the only one with big bullets? ;-)
