Matt in TN

After a not-so-hot experience with a G21SF I was a little nervous about this one. I'm happy to report it runs great and is every bit as accurate as my good old G30. These were consecutive groups shot freestyle today at 10 yds: if I could just stop jerking the trigger I'd have some really nice groups...

As long as we're talking millimeters, where on earth did those standards (the 140/170mm mag limits) come from? I understand they're from USPSA, but why did USPSA choose those numbers? Those seem pretty random.

Oops - I meant 140mm. Thanks! Pretty soon I won't have any more excuses...

I like how you think, but I've got to stay under 170mm total or they won't let me play their game.

I've been studying my match videos this year, and one thing I keep seeing over and over is that my pistol reloads are slow and I do them way too often (10rd mags in a G30). I'm practicing my reload speed, and I can't quite bring myself to give up the .45ACP, so I came across this little gem used yesterday... +4 basepads are coming. 17+1 rds of .45ACP just sounds good!

The most important thing is just to get out and DO IT! Don't wait until you are "ready", just show up at the next match with whatever gear you have, tell them you're new, and watch everyone fall all over themselves to help you.

It's "natural", not "tactical". ;-)

Sir, I don't know you from Adam so I hope this doesn't come across as offensive in any way (that's the farthest thing from my intent). I've seen you around at a few matches and I hope that if I am ever tested as you have been I'll have even half the strength, determination, and perseverance that you show every time I've seen you. Well shoot - something's come up on Sunday and I won't be able to come after all.  I could shuffle some things around and make it on Saturday, but I'm not a TN 3-Gun Series member.  Am I too late to sign up?  If not, how do I do it?  I went to the website and the Facebook page both and it wasn't really clear how you register or what it costs.
