I would agree but the folks hording large amounts are the main cause. They are the ones buying this stuff even at these prices. As long as people will buy at those prices then we are all going to have to pay it if we want ammo. Right now just not shooting as much. I am guilty of stashing a lot of rounds my self in the past and have sold some at higher prices we have now to buy some that I had less of at the same higher prices. Nothing you can really do if you want to shoot. Which is not a good option. I reload too but now you can't even get components to do that . Been trying to get some 9mm bullets for weeks. And have had a new Dillion 550 press ordered for 3 weeks may be 3 more or longer before it ships. Jason

Not crack just ugly guns. Every time I open the safe one of those ugly plastic Glocks falls out on the floor. Have to throw it back in and shut the door quick.

I would agree he should have contacted the sheriff but I am sure he will probably do nothing. If it had been me I probably would not have handled it very well. I would have had to say something. I don't see where they had the right to hold him and run the serial # on his gun. Once the permit was shown and no law was broken then you would be free to go on your way. At least that is how I see it.

Thanks for the replies here sorry it took a little bit to get back to you he was carrying concealed but you could see it ot the bulge under his shirt. Was walking around at a local flea market. The deputies were there too and saw him was stopped by them he showed his carry permit. Which up to this point I would think every thing is fine. Then they held him there while they ran the serial # on his gun is what I was told. That to me seems a little much. When that was over they returned his pistol and told him you can not carry on in the chamber. That is the story as I was told. I did not see it happen but saw him a few min after it happened and he was so mad he could hardly talk about it. Jason

Saw the black P Mags at the gun show in Grey TN today for $30 each still high but best I have saw in a while for price. Some ammo was starting to show up though still high not as bad as it has been. 22 long rifle still crazy and not much there. Hope things are slowly calming down. Jason

Not much use to call around here. If they have it it is gone by the time you get there. They are getting ammo it is just selling with in a hour or less of when they stock it. Jason

Had a buddie who was approached by two local deputies who noticed he was carrying. Ask him for carry permit that he showed them. They held him there while they ran the serial numbers on his gun to make sure it was not stolen. Can they randomly do that? Then gave it back to him and told him he was not allowed to carry a round in the chamber of his glock. Told him I have never hear of any thing like that. I am 100% sure they both had a round in the chamber on there pistols. Jason

Thought this would come to a end soon but it does not look like we will see normal prices for a while if ever again. Depends on what happens I guess. Most ammo suppliers are back ordered for almost a year from what I have been hearing for the dealers. If you want high cap mags I would buy them if you can afford them. Jason

Get a press you will be ahead. Good luck finding components to load with every thing is hard to find. I have had a dillon press on order for over three weeks no sign of when it will show up. Jason

Feinstein says collapsible stock makes AR15 full auto
Jason in TN replied to jay1313g's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
Like I had mentioned I had one sold it fun to play with and burn ammo. Yes it will shoot at near full auto speed but takes some work. In a gun fight to me it would be only good for maybe making some noise and keeping heads down while a partner was able to move. With a lot of practice you may make it workin a tactical situation. To me it is a toy fun to play with but after about 500 rounds I was done with it. Jason -
I guess i might as well get used to it...

Feinstein says collapsible stock makes AR15 full auto
Jason in TN replied to jay1313g's topic in 2A Legislation and Politics
I had one fun to play with but with the price of ammo I sold it. 223 is like gold now can't afford to burn $30 in a few seconds. Jason -

If you don't have a sight tool it is a bit of a pain. Also need the little socket wrench for the front sight. If you don't feel comfortable take it to a shop to have it done. Jason -
I like the S&W just depends on what his use would be. Range home defense every day carry?

Wrote to all senators in Most responses were very good. Here is one. Write them and do it again we need every one to do this. Here is his response. I am the sponsor of Senate Bill 100 that is being presented in the House by Representative Joe Carr. The bill will prohibit the enforcement of and provide for the prosecution of agents entering Tennessee to enforce certain federal law implemented or executed on or after January 1, 2013, ragarding firearms and ammunition. I am firmly and unshakably in support of our second amendment rights. You can count on me to do everything I can here at the State level to protect them Thank you for writing and please do so any time I may be of service. I appreciate your support! Senator Joey Hensley, MD
