Would love to play with one. What is the deal with Kel Tec? Why do you not see any of there stuff out there do they only make three a week?
-
Yep just got some bullets today in a USPS priority box. Jason

I would agree 100% that this is what is happening if no one would buy it the prices would start to come back down. Unfortunately I don't see it changing much soon. Ammo manufactures are also raising there price. So one of two things will happen well maybe three folks will stop buying it and prices will fall (not likely). Walmarts prices will catch up with every one else. Or walmarts prices will go up and the armslist prices will get even crazier. Unfortunately we have not reached the that is to much to pay threshold yet. Where is that threshold guess we will find out sooner or later. I agree it is crazy just not any use to get all upset about it. Could be we can't buy ammo at all. Just be prepared that is the best you can do. Jason

That is pretty much it Walmart is getting very little ammo when they get it it is gone in min because there is a shortage not a false shortage. If it was avalible Walmart would be rolling truck loads to every store any you could buy all you want. So you can spend endless hours trolling the Walmart for ammo and if you are lucky you may get some at a good price it has went up some there too or you can pay what it is selling for in gun shops and on line when people have it in stock that is the way it works. Free Market If you don't like it get mad I guess or don't buy it. The world keeps turning and tomorrow will be another day. Jason

No gas is worse than ammo you about have to have it and we are gettin well you know. Ammo you don't have to have. Well that is at least what my wife tells me. I hope like you that things calm down some time soon but with the media and the news I don't see it in the near future through the summer any way. I have heard that it will take until November for most ammo manufactures are able to fill just back orders if no more orders are placed. I have been shooting a lot of 9mm because luckily I had the stuff to load a lot of it. I will not buy any from the guys who are really marking stuff up unless it comes to it but prices even at the LGS is high too. And even the prices at Walmart are steady going up too. If you can get some reasonable get it we may not be done with prices going up yet. Jason

Most stuff on armslist is high priced every now and then you will find a deal or something that is not really a deal but something you really want and can't find. I picked up a Glock 17L off there last week. Been looking for a long time for one. Was not a deal but I wanted it. There are a lot of folks buying ammo and marking it up but it is a free market as long as supply is short and folks are willing to pay the higher prices that is the way it is going to be. Not going to do any good to to get mad about it. Again it is a free market until things get better it is not going to change. And it looks like that is going to be a while. I hate paying $3.50 for $1.50 gas but if you are going to ride you have to pay what it is bringing. If you are going to shoot you are going to have to pay what it cost to buy ammo. If you want it cheaper it can be found but it requires a good bit of effort. Jason

I have been loading allot of out about 3k rounds the last to weeks. Have became very popular with friends.
-
First glock 19 9mm. Great shooter small enough to carry.
-
What is the story on this double load? Lead bullets? Bad brass? Has to be something wrong with the reload to do that. I would send it back to glock. May be surprised. Jason

Jason in TN replied to R1100R's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I am pretty good real good in 9mm I load a lot of it and shoot a lot of it. 22 got some but would like to have more had enough but shot some and let a buddy talk me out of 1000rds shotgun good could use a little 45acp but dont shoot it much. 223 have some and enough to load about 2000 rounds. Need more 9mm bullets and I could load more of it. So I can't complain but I still pick up what I can when I find it at a good price. Jason -

Primer limit at Lebanon Gun Shop
Jason in TN replied to gregintenn's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I do understand I get aggravated at times my self with things that seem big but when I look back they usually are not that big of a deal. I picked up a bunch of primers a while back from David too so I am good for now but in these times I get what you can when you can. Glad you have some. Hope you are able to pick up some more some where soon. I got 9mm brass cleaning right now hope to put some together tomorrow. Snow here tomorrow. Jason -

Some primers are better than no primers. I would have bought them. Jason -
.22lr ammo prices are high in Tennessee:)
Jason in TN replied to graycrait's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
Knoxville gun show boxes of 500 were $65 to $70. I thought that was crazy must not have been because they were all gone and no one really had any for sell after just a few hours. Hope something changes but it don't look good any time soon. The prices are going to have to start falling before folks start to sell them off. People are know investing in ammo just like it was gold and silver. As long as prices are still rising they will buy all they can get no matter what the price is. -
Black powder gun not considered a gun legally?

That was funny. He handled himself quite well it is a shame every one does not know enough about the law to be able to not get pushed around and intimidated. Jason -

It is not going to end for a long time I do not think. Have been told if no one orders any more ammo for a year the back orders will not be filled by then if you can get it at a decent price and need it you better get it. Jason -
About any thing brass case I can get I am buying if the price is right. Been rolling my on 9mm but am almost out of bullets for that. Jason

9mm Bullets at Reloaders Bench

Really wish I was closer. I could use some for sure. Jason -
I personally do not shoot steel case ammo. I do have several 100 rounds stashed back I bought when it was real cheap. If things get where you can't get ammo steel case will be better than no ammo for sure. Jason.

Interesting I want to try some in a 45 ACP. I am assuming you are using the same pistol powder you would normally use? Going to try to do some more digging and find some info befor I get started playing with them. Jason

Never have loaded any of these would be Awsome to have some pics and info on the 45 ACP ones powder used how much and how you loaded them. how you get them to feed in a auto. Jason

dangers from new shooters/reloaders.

I do not go to public ranges any more. Have seen people do dumb things at them to many times. It is amazing you don't here people injured or shot at them more often than you do. Find a friend with lots of land and help him build a private range. Shot a 50bmg at my buddies earlier this week. -
Got a few more done this afternoon 50 rounds shy of 1000 hollow points loaded. Ran out of clean brass got some in the cleaner now. Hope to finish those up tommorrow and move on to round nose FMJ as soon as I get some bullets. Jason
