  1. No thats a windage stabilizer , it catches the wind in such a manner as to aid in the aiming of the pistol 1 handed
  2. AK for the win
  3. Got mine in today from JG and the thing is in great condition no canted sights good rivet work etc. very happy with the buy , now if my other goodies will arrive Ill be golden
  4. After looking around the interwebs and seeing all the different stocks we eventually chose the BUMPSKI based on looks alone , but I have also seen all the do it yourself videos and actually made a cheap one myself "bumpski was 450.00" I made this one with nothing more than a bent piece of steel and some bolts It worked just as good as the bumpski.          I can be pretty accurate with it and it is very controllable
  5. No It should arrive tomorrow according to FEDEX    I will check it out as far as the sights I am sure it will be fine if not they have a 30 day free replacement or repair warranty   Thanks for the offer I bet the M85 is sweet in 5.56. Really wish they made a mini draco in 5.45 though I have some 74s and love that round as much as 7.62   For mine I have already ordered all my goodies and everything should arrive by thursday   I will be installing everything listed below   Ace folding mechanism the non push button type with molded ar15 buffer tube attachement   SB15   extended sb15 buffer tube v2    Holosun Mini red dot  "been wanting to test one of these for awhile" I hear great things :)   parabellum akars railed top cover , I have one on one of my 74s and love it    for the Handgaurd the mini doesnt have many options except for the Midwest industrys mount , but I dont like it . I ordered a Strike industries TRAX-1 Keymod rail that I will mount after some cutting and grinding.   4 peice bulgarian krink flash hinder   of course I will swap pistol grips aswell but havent decided which one yet
  6. I would like to hear more on this as well
  7. I gave up after 2 days and still not in stock I ordered the regular sb15 , if the sbx becomes more widely available I may jump on it at a later date , but for now my Mini Draco will be here tomorrow and all my other goodies for the build will be here by thursday at the latest so I figured I better get the sb15 in asap
  8. Go with the AK                                                    Just kidding My vote is on the .357
  9. Yes I did alot...alot of googling on the ak pistols before choosing the mini draco ,saw a couple folks mention a 6 degree spacer is needed for the pap, I chose the draco min over the M92 for 2 reasons...They both have advantages, and I almost chose the pap for the sights alone but I chose the mini because "Chrome lined barrel" "Not much velocity change between the two "  "I plan on using a 4 piece krink flash hider " that thing alone is like 3.5 inches and on a pap it would have made it barely shorter than a rifle. as for sights Pap sights = much better Irons but, I have a PA rail cover I plan to use and it wont work with the pap and I want a holosun mini rds on my ak pistol and with the parabelum it will be co-witness. You can co-witness on a pap with a Ultimak but thats an awfull lot of heat and on a gun that I cant have a vertical fg on that didnt seem smart. Handgaurd options are almost nill for both guns... M.I. makes one for the pap and the mini , but it isnt my fav looks wise manticore makes one for the pap but its ugly as sin.  so since I am gonna tinker with making my own handgaurd before investing in theM.I. i figured I will go with the mini.   In all fairness the pap is probably a better gun and better built "Minus not having chrome lined barrel"  but the mini fits my needs perfectly / rant .... :D   as for the castle nut welding on yes I have though about it but I would probably fudge ugly the job and I want a folder bad , and I think those utg folding adapters look like poo lol
  10. Nice info ,I don't plan on shipping anything anywhere unless atleast a few good tgo members recommend them anyway , but I do appreciate the knowledge thanks very much for taking the time to explain all that in such detail. This is why even when I am not posting or responding at all, I am still strolling thru TGO looking at great advice from great guys thanks man.
  11. plus 1 on the steel hinge for shure hell with those paps and dracos a steel folder could be welded on easily and be much sturdier for something like a truckgun you will beat the hell out of regularly.. man oh man put me on the list if you make some steel folders ill buy for shure :D
  12. Nice. and by no means am I saying it isn't worth it on something like a 1200.00 kimber but I just couldnt justify paying even close to that on an old 400.00 xd ... But it is nice work .
  13. Nice! what was the ticket on that work , and turn around time, if you dont mind me asking ?
  14. nice...I have never done nfa before ... I want to but I live right on the TN. line and I am always back and forth between tn. Georgia and even Alabama, most of my shooting goes on at my brothers home " he has a good chunk of land just over the Georgia line " and I don't want to have to raise my hand in class and ask for a permission slip to throw my stuff in the truck and go shooting , I believe if My family and I were located in middle TN. somewhere I would have probably splurged on a trust and have atleast a couple suppressors and sbrs, but as it stands if I sbr something it will be a safequeen same with a suppressor all due to my location :( .    But anyways I do like the push button folders aswell but I also like how that sidefolder mechanism makes the stock sit a little higher, and I like the shaping of it better than just a square with a castle tube centered like on the pushbutton folders.    Wish they made a push button folder that was formed and shaped like the one above.   BTW did I read RPK :) Nice, saw an RPK SBR on FB the otherday .....it was sweet
  15. yes the top one is how I want to setup the actual Pistol and the bottom pic is how i want to setup the brace! love the ace folder with sb15, the sb47 just doesnt do it for me like the brace setup in that pic.
  16. thats the same guy we are talking about do like his work , wish he were closer , or had an ffl since I now know I can send "and receive" from an ffl
  17. Wish he already had his FFL thats what I am looking for is fast service at a decent price, I saw is add under vendors but I am not anywhere near there and it just wouldnt be feesable to drive there and back once , much less twice. His work, prices, and services look awesome though, wish he was closer :(
  18. I didnt know that I thought it would have to be sent back to my local ffl and then I would have to pay them 40.00 etc. to get it back . If this is true then I may look into it if I can't find someone locally I have no idea man
  19. Looking for a local guy who does Cerkoting / duracoting / refinishing etc.    I have a couple guns I want done but the main one I want done is an XD45 and I don't know how or what the rules are for shipping etc.    I am almost positive I can't just mail a handgun out and have it shipped back   I want the whole gun done not just the slide    I am in the chattanooga area thanks for any help fellas
  20. OOOOOH nice , I am gonna be ordering a brace in the next day or two and would love to get one of these "Can't find any in stock atm though" thanks very much for this post though never seen that and if i can find one i will go this route.
  21. got it from JGsales with a free drum it is 459.95 plus shipping I paid 516.94 with a 30 rnd mag and free 75 round drum :D this is the link http://www.jgsales.com/romanian-ak-mini-draco-pistol,-7.62x39,-wood-stock-handgun.-with-free-drum-p-70142.html saw a few pics of the with a sidefolding arm brace and was instantly bitten by the bug I want to do something like this But with this ace folding adapter and SB15 brace like this Those are just pics I found on the interwebs I can't wait
  22. Hello been running my google search engine into the ground lately and figured I might have better luck with you fellas on this particular question. I have ordered a Burris Fastfire III and have also ordered the seperate mount in order to mount the RDS to my M&P 357sig once mounted the weapon should look like this As you can see not only does the RDS sit pretty High it also eliminates the Rear Iron sights which is not something I really like . Through my manipulation of the Interwebs I have seen pictures of slides that have been drilled and tapped and milled to have the RDS mount flush to the slide, and even some in which the RDS sits a little lower than the slide like in this image. Now obviously the image above is an S&W C.O.R.E. model which comes premilled for RDS sights but it seems like someone with the correct tools should be able to do this for me on my non C.O.R.E. Model. So my questions for you guys is...... 1. Can this be done? 2. what kind of pricing am I looking at ? 3. anybody locally that can do it / chattanooga area ?
  23. Already handled man....got her the Diamond she wanted and this thing showed up a few days later :)
