saw this video on a facebook post and figured id throw it up here to get some opinions from my fellow tennesseeans Is this something you feel as inevitable Or more or less the work of an over reactive individual trying to stir up trouble . I can see some of the things in this video as very real and very scary at the same time. However I can't really see how civil disobedience would or could ever work any opinions on the matter? and If so any way you can see bringing about an actual change through good honest and peaceable measures nowdays ? I suppose someone could run for Potus but no matter how good the individual is or what his/her views are I imagine Jesus himself would be laughed off the stage and booed by the majority if he were not affiliated with the big hitters in either party . Kinda makes you wanna just give in and go along like everyone else. Is there nothing we can do to peacefully prevent something like this? Or is the only real option to try and prepare and hope for the best ? You see protest every now and then but lets be honest who really cares? who pays attention to protesters ? If you were to see somebody stand up and go all Clint Eastwood and start blasting at officials or whatever . The person would definitely be labeled a crazed madman and he/she would be hunted down , and of course A lot of people would use that as an excuse to take more rights and freedoms away etc. For me personally I feel things are on the verge of falling apart but If i never saw videos Like this or did any kind of research and never paid any attention to what was going on in the country and for that matter the rest of the world unless it bothered me personally . Would I be better off ? I remember one of our neighbors growing up "Old timer" was kind of like the neighborhood Nut everybody laughed at him behind his back he had a bomb shelter and rumors said he had all kinds of guns and gas mask and everything else well he passed away quite a few years ago and I remember thinking to myself that fool spent his whole life being shunned and preparing for something that never happened .Now I think ,am I turning into that guy ? That is what bothers me about anti gun laws etc. I don't think it would be a snatch and grab where they just go door to door taking everybodys guns I think first it would resemble the machine gun ban where folks have to register certain firearms then no more can be sold of a certain type or caliber , aswell as mag capacity etc. Then once every gun owner is on a list with certain "Evil weapons " then someone does some crazy move with their registerd weapons and the rest of the country calls for the destruction of said weapons and decides to make it law, then all the law abiding citizens will turn them in to be destroyed and the ones who dont wont be called patriots but would be labled extremist , or whatever by the media , and the rest of the country will stand by and watch as they are hunted down and arrested . Just a theory but thats the only way I could imagine a gunban being successfully executed in this country , Don't get be wrong the government could pass some outrageous law stating they are banned and tell everyone to turn them in but as it stands if it isnt registered most people wont and going door to door would be an invitation to disaster.

Yes I can see that I imagine you guys still get a good bit of scum lol there is a reason I "Used to help admin a video Gaming site" I dont anymore!!Imagine having a base of 13-30 yr olds to contend with daily lol it was fun most of the time but there shure were alot of trolls and scammers etc. but I can see even on other gun forums that the trolls do lurk even in this age group of mainly adults but do away with all that and this is still a good clean well maintained site so Props.

Really like the site guys good work glad to see the trading post back to the old format. I used to Help Admin a video Gaming website off Vb and we stayed busy as all hell trying to keep things fresh and at the same time having to basically run an internet police department on our site to deal with all the Trolls aswell and I have noticed you guys are always pretty quik on the Troll work I also notice the fact that Im not getting spammed by outrageous ads 24/7 like alot of sites will do just to turn a profit we always did ours free and kept ourselfs alive by accepting dontations etc. some of those ads generate great pay but are just full of spam and malware etc. so good job on avoiding that even though I know first hand how tempting it is , a good clean site is a good thing and needs a good ol "Thataboy" every now and then so from where Im sitting good job on running a clean respectfull yet open minded forum .

Good interview with Gary Johnson on the Colbert Report where he mentions how some of the Latest Polls claim upward of 82% of americans have said they would consider voting third party who knows if that is anywhere near true or not but , it is still a great interview hell I think colbert and stewart are the only two news anchors worth watching anymore anyways http://www.colbertna...12/gary-johnson

I know my vote doesnt mean Much , But its one less vote that wouldve been virtually guaranteed to the GOP a few years back who knows maybe this will wake them up and force them to make better decisions I doubt it seeing as choosing Mcain last time didnt change their ways I guess they will just keep picking loosers that we dont want and the majority of us will side with them anyway but I for one Will not blindly give my vote to the publicans again

Im thinking with more and more folks Turning off their tvs and Radios and learning about the candidates from the internet on an individual basis eventually we will be able to overcome "Doing what everyone else does" or what the media says is big news etc. as long as the internet stays free I don't see how we can be as controlled as we were in the past I know when bush was in office I voted for him a second term because honestly it felt like the right thing to do every channel said something about "Staying the course" etc. I dont even know who the third party candidate was then I didnt watch debates I may have seen some of the Highlights and that was only what the media decided to show If it were not for the web I probably wouldve never heard of Paul or Johnson or wouldve been laughing at them along with everyone else during the morning show on tv while getting ready for work I think the internet Helped to basically make me see things i didnt notice, or didnt care to notice before and as long as we keep it out of the hands of the government it may prove to be our only beacon to truth in the future and will hopefully get the word out to more and more as the next few years unfold and will introduce change, its getting really hard for the media to suppress things aswell as over exaggerate things the way the used to so I think that in itself my help a 3rd party candidate in the future aswell.

I would Like to think that maybe in a few years those who support Paul , Johnson , Etc. and have found that they are strong believers in the constitution will start running for office and eventually that will have an impact till then all we can do is throw our vote to the Best Guy and tell our children we tried , I shure wish our parents and grandparents had decided not to vote for the lesser of two evils and not to vote against the guy the hate but instead to vote for the guy they wanted we probably wouldnt be in this position now but hey ya gotta start somewhere ya know
