+1 Freedom doesn't come Free. We had to get a bigger stick and then say, "This is the way we want it, now do you brits got a problem with that?" The rights we have were obtained by men who decided that we should have these rights at all costs. They felt that every man should have these rights, and so do I, but people have to fight for them. Luckily I didn't have to. The founders of th U.S.of A., and their armies saw to that. And I am thankful that they did.

I have the same .22 rifle as that, and believe it or not, the thing shoots great. I have killed many tree rats with it. Very accurate too. The only draw back is the 10 shot mags is the max. I have not been able to find anyone who makes a larger cap. mag for that gun.....so I went and bought a 10/22. I am thinking of letting my little brother use it/have it. He would love to have his own. Below is a pic of mine (stock)

Mentally prepared to pull the trigger??

Then acting a little bit more strange in the wrong place at the wrong time would have resulted in him losing his life. I didn't do anything but get my self ready and into a position to defend myself. If he would have started acting in another way, then i would have drew my gun, but he didn't, so the situation was dissolved. Don't think I am running around being a "mall ninja". That was the first and only encounter I have ever had, that I put myself in that high of an alert mode. I think the guy was planning on stealing or at least breaking into my truck, and when he saw me he thought "here is a white boy I can jack", and I think my actions prevented that. I didn't have to yell at him, or scream vulgar things, but I know what I did ended what ever plans he had. We can run through "what ifs" all day, and believe me I have, and at the end of the day, it all worked out, and nobody was hurt. If I had it to do over again and knowing now what I know, the only thing I might would have done different, is stay on the passenger side of the truck, drew my gun and kept in 'low ready" out of site, and asked him to move away. Then walked around the truck bed instead of around the front of thetruck, because I really let the guy get to close to me. If he had a knife he could stabbed me in the gut, before I could have drawn my gun, that is how close I let him get. I dodn't think I will make that mistake again. What I learned 1. Never let the "BG" get that close 2. Never, ever, ever, ever, leave my gun behind. -
Welcome aboard. Now start letting everyone else know how easy it is to support the second Amendment.

I had one round out of my WWB 9mm 100 round pack, that had a stouter recoil and made a loud bang. I dropped the mag, cycled the other round out of the chamber, and everything looked fine. Loaded it back up and went on through the rest of the box. No harm to the P-89

That is a great line

I really like the model 60. Nice guns -
I have night sights on my Glock Model 30, trijicon (spelling??). They are close to be ing 10 years old, and I am considering paying Glock to refinish my slide. If I decided to do that then I will have to make the choice in letting Glock install their standard sights for free or have them install their night sight for $65. I think I will let them install their night sights, because I really don't like their standard sight. According to what everyone tells me, I have about 2 years left on the "glow" on my current night sights, so....if I want to keep night sight, I will have to replace them soon. Lasers, I am not big on them, unless they are Dr. Evil type Lasers.

Mentally prepared to pull the trigger??

Great thread. Once I was in a situation that I pulled my shirt behind my holster and had my hand wrapped around the grip, and was very close to pulling it, but when the potential BG saw my hand on my gun, he pulled both hand out of his pockets and said "No, No, No, I am good guy, I am good guy." I went into American General to pay a bill, and it was just getting dark, around 6:00pm or so, (winter) and I didn't have my gun on my side, it was still in the center console of my truck. When I arrived, the guy that was waiting for me to show was standing outside the store smoking, so when I got out of the truck he was watching me and talking to me, so I didn't put it on my side.....in and out right???? Well when I was leaving a small blue car pulled up on the driver side of my truck, put it in reverse and maneuvered closer to my vehicle, so that only one person could fit between the two vehicles. Parking lot is empty all around my truck, so there is no reason to park this close.....so..... I start walking out of the building, a Man gets out of the passenger side of the car, and starts to try to look into my driver side window (my windows are tinted, so I am sure it was hard to see), as I got closer he looked at me, and looked back into the car to the guy that was driving and laughed. This is when I reached for my gun and then said "Oh S*#T". Well I walked to the passenger side of my truck, hit the unlock button, opened the door, hit the lock button, and reached across and opened my console and got my gun an holster out and placed on my side (paddle holster) and then shut the door. I walked around the front of the truck, and saw the man standing there next to my truck, the other guy is still sitting in the car, with it running, and this man on the outside sticks his right hand in his pocket. I then put my hand on my gun, turned that side to him, and that is when he start saying "no, No. No". So I told him to move so that I could get into my truck, he walked out past the truck, and I walked to my door, unlocked the door, opened it, and then drew my gun behind the door, in the low-ready position, just incase, because now I made it easy to get in the vehicle. He motioned for the driver to come on, and I thought again "Oh S*#t", but he cut the car off, got out, and they starting walking to the restaurant that was three of four store fronts down the way. I was breathing hard, and my adrenaline was pumping. Oh yeah the whole time I had my wife on the phone held up to my ear with my left hand. As soon as I put my hand on my gun, I said to her "I am fixing to have to shoot someone", and that is when mother nature took over, sweating, breathing hard, heart about to beat out of my chest. After driving about 3 miles to my house, my heart was still beating hard and my hands were shaking, my wife couldn't believe the state I was in, and still as I am typing this my hands are shaking a little. But I had made up my mind that I was fixing to kill someone, and my nerves could prove it. I know I would have done what was needed, but definitely the aftermath would be tough. Sorry for the story going on so long, just hope my experiences might help someone else. -
When I get out of the truck at the Gas Station, I pull my untucked shirt around my gun, so all the democrats can see. I have had a guy walk towards me at a gas station , (he was a homeless fellow) as he was walking towards me he was picking his nails with a pocket knife. As he got close to me he said with out looking up, "You are going to give me a couple bucks so I can......" at that time he looked up and saw my gun and stopped talking, looked at it, then up at me, and said "Nevermind man". That is one of the times that I open carry, and why.

I carry open when I want and I carry concealed when I want. My reasons are mine, and they need not to be debated. Search yourself and you will find inner peace, grasshopper.

I went to tobacco corner on my way home tonight, and Ken took great care of me. He sold me a great Briar wood pipe, some nice tobacco, and even showed me how to pack the bowl and light it properly. Very good customer service. I recommend it to anyone.

I will drink Jack Daniels, and I really like 7 year Beam. Crown is great, and Evan Williams is ok at times, and I could do without Knob Creek. But this will surprise you all.................my favorite mixing whiskey is Calvert Extra. Thats right $3.50 a pint......it is bottom shelf, but damn I like that stuff in coke or Pepsi. Oh yeah and my absolute favorite Vodka is Grey Goose. WOW!!!! what a smooth vodka. oh I forgot Wild Turkey 101.......now that is fun
