Now back to the original topic. Has anyone else ever found "different" rounds in the same box. I think the fellow behind the counter was dead on with the bullet weight being different and the bullet being seated farther into the casing. I guess I just firgured that there would be consistency within a single box.

thanks, but I am not bent. Straight as can be. I just don't want to cause any problems. Safety is first. Feelings much later.

yeah, probably so. It would not be good to start double blasting. Maybe that is what he thought I was fixing to do. Is there a rule against that though? I wouldn't want to waste ammo like that, just wondering.

Ok I wil remove the part of my original post that stated, how I was using proper Gun Range Safety and was stopped to be reminded to use proper Gun Range Safety. Sorry I was in the wrong.

Situtation like what. A customer pointing firearms down range? I appreciate their attention towards the rules, but as I stated before I was following the rules. Unless there is one about holding two firearms at the same time, with the slides locked backed, pointed down range, being a NO-NO.

If I felt it was necessary to speak to a manager, I would have. I am a kid myself (25 years old), so when I say "kid", I am speaking of my peers. I am glad to see that Range USA is hiring Vets, but that has nothing to do with gun safety. It doesn't matter if it was a five star general who had attempted to correct me, it still would have been wrong, because both firearms were pointed down range. I just feel he was trying to do the best he could, and saw me holding two firearms, and decided to remind me of the rules. He wasn't rude about it. It just was unnecessary.

As I was loadinganother mag at Range USA tonight for my P-89, I noticed one of my 9mm rounds felt weird. I stopped loading the mag, and compared the round to the other 9mm, and both casing said 9mm.This particular round felt lighter and smaller in diameter. I thought "hold -up now"....and these were the rounds the range sells (starts with a K)...so I thought this is weird. So I decided not to shoot it, and ask questions on my way out. As we were leaving I walked up to two of the employees there and said "Will one of you guys answer a question for me?", and one of them said sure I will try. I said "Am I crazy, or is there a difference between these two bullets?"....and I set two bullets down. He picked them up and said "Yep there is a difference", and I said "So I aint crazy", and his reply is "No, you are crazy. You see this is a 9mm round and this is a .40 round." My dunba$$ picked up one of my buddies .40 rounds instead of the other 9mm. I felt about two inches tall. I said "I am sorry, I picked up the wrong bullet to show you", and then I handed over the real 9mm. After I got the stupid part over, he compared the two bullets from the same box that I had presented him, and his conclusion was that one had a heavier grain bullet than the other, and it was seated farther down into the casing. I was shocked that this would happen in the same box of bullets, and he said that particular company ( the one that starts with the K) was a reloading company and they buy whatever bullet is the cheapest. Even though I made an A$$ out of myself at first, my buddy did commend me on being sharp enough to feel a difference in the bullets as I was loading them. But I am sure I will be the butt of a few jokes around there for a while.

My wife's 02 Grand Am gets around 30 mpg. It has a 2.2 Ecotec 4 cyl. We have had a lot of problems wth it though. just last year her timimg chain broke, and we paid $2,900 for repairs (Used Ecotec engine 24,000 miles on it, and the labor). I have had to replace the brake calibers on the front, the driver side window assembly, the theft system installed in the car is now acting up, and a few other small things. I would not reccomend one of these to anyone.

Congrats. What is up with all these deleted post? Are people are being naughty again?

I carry a Glock Model 30 .45acp, and the recoil is very manageable, but a buddy of mine has the model 27, and the recoil is something I find unpleasant. Now with that being said I thought, these .40 are way too snappy. I then tried my cousins Taurus Mill. Pro in .40, and it was even more snappy than the Glock Model 27. I started thinking to my self "Why does anyone like the .40?"....then I shot my buddies .40 XD (not sure which model) and I was awesome with it.......(well maybe not that awesome). I really liked the way it handled. I never thought I would say that, being a "Glock-Guy", and based on looks, I think the XDs are fugly....but I wouldn't mine owning one in .40 because of how well I shot with it. I said all of that to try to convince you not to give up on Glock, like I did on the .40, just yet. Something might come around and surprise you. Also I wanted to add: Most people I let shoot my model 30 always say the same thing "The grip is to fat". Well I have larger hands, I guess, because I have always found it to be comfortable. Well a friend took his HCP class a few weeks ago and asked if he could borrow it, since he felt comfortable with shooting it. He did, and passed, and started to look for one to buy. He came by my house on Saturday to show me his new Glock Model 30SF (Slim Frame), and all I can say is, WOW! The grip feels like the grip on the Glock 27. We are going to the range tomorrow night, to put the first rounds through it, and I can't wait to try it. It might be time for and upgrade.

I play a Taylor 514ce. Great guitar. I have played rythm guitar for church band for about 6 years. I quit playing at the church for various reason about 3 years ago. I now just pick-n-grin by myself around the house. I use to go to the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society's annual meeting every year in Nashville at the Sheraton Hotel. I also play his style of finger picking "Chet style". I am not as good as some that have been playing that long, but I get by. The last time I played in front of a group of people was at my uncle's graveside last October. He was the person that got me into playing, and even sold me my first guitar. I played "I'll Fly Away" Chet Style.....I almost didn't make it through it, I really Loved him. Saintsfanbrian.....I didn't know you played too. Hey we got even more in Common than I thought. If someone wants to have a picking session let me know. If it is where I can I would love to make it.

A buddy of mine bought a new 642 at a gun show last year for $360. He loves it, as do I.

Thanks for all the replie. I was fully expecting to get blasted for asking that question, or get a bunch of......"Why don't you just save up your money and buy a S&W". Thanks everyone

Are Rossi Revolvers good quality? I only know of one person who owns one (I do not know the model, but it is a .357) and he has had no problems with it. I would like to buy a .357 mag just because, and I have been looking at a Taurus at Guns & Ammo for $339, and I like it, but I just wondering bout the quality of the Rossi brand? Any suggestions, opinions, and or thoughts will be appreciated.

Has anyone experienced a refusal to use the TGO face-to-face form?

I have all my guns inventoried on my computer (picture of firearm, make and model number). When I sell one of these inventoried guns, I make myself a sales receipt, and scan it in the computer and attach it to the same file. If the buyer would like a copy of the sales receipt, he or she is more than welcome to it, if not then I don't make them take it. I am not required by law to do this, but I do it on my own. I do not ever bring the buyer into my world of paper work, unless they want a copy or something. Then I will give them what I have. That is my idea of covering my butt. If the ATF come a knocking, I will print off my sheet that has the picture, make, model number, and scanned image of a sales receipt. If someone does this after they sell a firearm to me then that is fine. As I said before Phone number, name, and I will sign a sales receipt ie bill of sale, and that is as far as I will go on a face to face transaction. I met a fellow TGO Board member at the Range a Month or so ago. I bought a pistol from him. He looked like a decent young man, and I guess I appeared as a decent young man to him. We talked for about 20 minutes or so, I handed him the money, we shoke hands, and I left with a very nice pistol. No Paper work. Now if I would have looked like a "hoodrat" I doubt he would have sold me the gun. If he would have required me to fill out that form in full, then I wguess I wouldn't have bought the gun.....well on second thought I probably would have.....I really liked the gun. -

That is right. I will sign a bill of sale ie. receipt, and I would have no problem giving the seller my name and phone number (for that is needed to meet up anyways), but that is the extent of the info I am giving out. I would refuse to fill out the form also, I might be denied the sell of the firearm, but that is the chance I will take for not giving out information that I see as personal. -

I agree. I have no problem for the person to know my name, and phone number. that is basic to the sale, (meeting up and what not). If he wants to give me a receipt, that is fine too. I will accept, and then when I get home it will wind up where all of my other receipts go, the trash. Part of a FTF deal is the "off-paper" idea. I have bought from Gun Shops, and Pawn Shops and I will continue, and there Gun sales are regulated. But in a FTF transaction, you can not use your credit card, you don't pay sales tax, and no paperwork is required. I have a receipt book with me, and if I sell a firearm I will keep a record that I sold it, and in the signature line,.....who knows what name will appear. But that is my "if the ATF come a knocking plan"....I don't want your personel info, and I would not give anyone mine. -
Glad you and everyone that was around you were ok. I think I would hat shatted a little myself.
