  1. Camo is usually optional for me during Gun season. Bow season I do like to have camo on to help "break up" my large frame. I pee in the woods, and then spray the piss spot down with cover scent, (red fox pee, coon scent) etc.
  2. That is the funniest thing I have read all day!
  3. I already have mine ready. LOL
  4. Oh yeah, I know...I was just saying.
  5. The only problem is that the Feds are going bankrupt also. Nothing is "insured" anymore.
  6. I'd hit it. LOL
  7. No sir, every month besides "Black History Month" is just plain History Month, no race attached.
  8. Good show last night. Two problems. During the Scene when Opie starts to beat the Hell out of the other guy in the school gym, the scene cut off and went straight to a comercial. You could tell that it was a mistake. Also when Clay punched the Masturbating guy in the van was the worst fake punch I have seen since the Old School Batman when the speech bubbles would appear and saw "POW".
  9. That is very, very funny.
  10. What are the new resting places for Mr. Shannon's firearms? I hope they are in good keeping.
  11. There are many good scopes out there, and I do mean MANY. I have a Redfied Widefield scope that at least 15-20 years old, mounted on my .30-06 with Weaver over and under Scope Mounts. I got the Weaver mounts from Wal-Mart, but Bass-Pro sells them also. I recommend going to Bass Pro, or somewhere that has many different scopes, and take a peek through them. Try.... Simmons Leupold Nikon Tasco makes a nice cheap 3x9x40scope that you can pick up at walmart for about $30......it works fine for up to 100 yards shots (that is what I put on my Muzzleloader)
  12. I feild dress mine in the woods, and then drag them out. It is a lot lighter without the guts. I then hang the deer up (at home) and Skin him. If it is a cool night I will let him set overnight to help release the gasses, then get up the next morning and start working up the meat. My Dad and grandfather taught me how to process my own meat, and that to me is part of the hunting experience. I soak my deer meat in salt water, and red wine vinager, over night, and that takes the wild game taste right out. I once used Brandy instead of red wine vinager and it was equally as good.
  13. It was a little bit bigger than an LCP. I was thinking it looked closer to a Kahr. But I have been wrong in the past. Also, the shoot-out scene between the SOA and the Mayans was way to short.
  14. Good show. and never sit on another man's bike. LOL
  15. I wished I was that good. I still get buck fever everytime I see a deer.
  16. I do not have experience hunting with either of these rounds, but I have heard of people taking white tails with their .357 handguns load with http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp;jsessionid=5KRXYM2WZ03LRLAQBBKSCOFMCAEFMIWE?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=&id=0012669215321a&navCount=0&podId=0012669&parentId=&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=XH&rid=&parentType=&indexId=&cmCat=netcon&cm_ven=netcon&cm_cat=N/A&cm_pla=N/A&cm_ite=netcon&hasJS=true&_requestid=52637 As far as hearing protection, none is required. I think it all falls back on the adrenaline pumping, but my ears never ring after I take a shot with my .30-06 on a deer. Now just out shooting for fun, first shot I am deaf. Woods = less than and up to 100 yards Field = How far you can make a clean kill. I would definitely want to be accurate up to 100 yards. So if that means purchase a scope, then I would be on the market for a good scope. I use a 3x9x40 Redfield on my .30-06. It has worked great for me.
  17. Having there sounds good. We could even bring hot dogs and what not, and grill us up some lunch....maybe if that is what you were thinking. Park time with the children is always a blast.
  18. Nice look!!!!
  19. Is Madison bad enough to stay away from?
  20. Sounds good to me. I have not been able to make any of the Friday night get togethers, due to my Lodge's meeting is held on Fridays.
  21. I will be arriving Friday, Oct. 24 around mid-day to early evening and checking out on Monday, Oct. 27. A safe place to stay would be nice, but I would like to keep the cost under $60 a night. We will be spending most of Sat. up in Adams TN. (about 45 to 60 minutes north of Nashville), and the rest of the time in Nashville.....shopping, eating, maybe Country Music Hall of Fame, General Jackson cruise, Grand Ol Opry, Zoo, visit local gun shops....that kind of thing. We are leaving the kid at home and are just getting out of town.
  22. Very well said!
  23. Awesome shots. I can't wait to get out there. I am bummed out a little. This is opening weekend and I have a little sister's birthday to go to Sat. and a Family reunion on Sunday....so I am thinking about crying.
  24. Tower that is awesome for you to offer that. I have never stayed at an "extended stay" hotel, so I don't know much about them....I mean I don't know why I would mind staying at one. Brentwood is the "nice" part of town right?...where all the stars live.
