  1. Colt MK IV Series 70 1911? Condition????...not mint, a lot of wear (holster/carry) functions fine. what is it worth?
  2. Hell naw. I aint Arkansas material. I don't have that many first cousins that I am attracted to. LOL
  3. Deficit.....we aint got no deficit.
  4. It is weird rules, I know. I have never seen it discussed on here before, and figured it would help others out too. But who knows, cause I didn't use the search first.
  5. Thank you. I was just curious. I have no interest in selling either right now.
  6. Ok when is it ok to sell a gun? Scenario #1: I bought a S&W model 19 back in Jan. maybe the 17th I think. Could I sell it today and it not be considered buying a gun for someone else? Scenario #2: I bought a S&W model 4043 today, and got a heck of a deal ($200 less than a local pawn shop is sell the same gun for in about the same shape). I am going to the range tomorrow night and shoot it. Say I hate the gun (what ever the reason) and a buddy is with me or just a random person at the range sees it and comments on it. We work out a deal, and BAM I just sold a gun less than 48 hours after I bought it. Should I hang on to it a while before selling a gun I hate? But I really didn't plan on having the funds tied up into something I don't like. Or can I sell it right then? What does the law say about straw sells?
  7. +100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000
  8. I like that Idea. I have the same problem here in Memphis at Guns and Ammo. I have stood in line for 30+ minutes to buy a box of Golden Sabers, some .410 000 buck shot, and a box of .45 LC. Crazy The ass hats would come to the register with a Firearm purchase form, take the "gun buyers" money over my shoulder finished the sell and then turn around and walk off, and never say a word to me. This happened 11 times during my 30 min. wait. I was upset but there is nothing I can do. No other store, in Memphis, carries all of the ammo I was buying, so I had no choice. I feel your pain.
  9. I think I am becoming a fan myself. I always wanted a .357mag, and now I love it. So more rotating cylinder guns might be in my near future.
  10. ' Thanks for that...I guss that is something I will have to consider, and keep in mind.
  11. Sorry, I saw P22 and didn't bother to notice the "0" at the end. My bad
  12. Selective Amnesia......good strategy. Here it is: Cindy (the nails girls): Help we have a patient trowing poo, and swinging chairs. Punisher: I think I covered that in my presentation, but you wouldn't know that because you were doing your nails. Cindy: c'mon man I need help Punisher: Cindy your nails look great. Try not to get poo under them. Cindy: Are You Series? Punisher: Oh yeah, you might be able to get the poo out from underneath them, but the smell will linger.
  13. You could have went all Mall ninja on their butts, and started telling wild stories of this one time.... that would have been awesome
  14. It might be mind over matter, but I think the two models feel different in hand.
  15. I have a P22 and I have not got through the breaking in stage. At the range Wednesday before last, I had two CCI mini mags "hang up in the chamber. The slide stopped halfway and the bullet was jammed into the chamber. I stopped and went got one of the guys behind the desk to help me. (I have gotten in trouble in the past for holding two guns side by side, slides locked back, pointed down range, comparing the two, by a young range worker so I didn't take a chance of getting into more trouble by shoving a rod down the barrel). The guy came out and shoved a rod down the barrel, and it looked like the round went in "cocked" and caused the bullet to deform. I unloaded the mag of mini mags, ran three mags full of that "Remington $19.99 for 500 rounds" crap ammo and no problems. Loaded the mag back up with mini mags and the third round did the same thing. I unloaded the mag again of the mini mags, reloaded with the crap ammo, an shot 60 flawless round. So I think my P22 doesn't like CCI Minin Mags. It also has the "taller" front sight installed on it. I am going to replace it with the "shorter" front sight that came with the gun. They are cheap little plastic sights, and I think the one on the gun might be bent, because I am constantly shooting to the left.
  16. wow the 125gr really makes that big of a difference?
  17. Why is that? LOL
  18. Welcome fellow Memphrican.
  19. That makes sense now. It is a hard job, thank goodness we have the technology needed so that no humans can get hurt. Oh wait....I hope they have thing behind bullet proof glass.
  20. I though I saw it hide a ski mask.
  21. this is a follow up to: http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16584 The model 19 shoots awesome! It ate up the WWB 38 specials I fed through it, with hardly any felt recoil. It shot the .357 mag orange box TN reloads without a problem. Recoil increased but not unpleasent. It shot the .357 mag Whinchester Silver tips without a problem, other than my hand killing me. WOW what a punch those things have. Being new to revovlers, a guy told me to let my little finger stay on the bottom of the grip. this would help with my hand sliding up the grips. I guess I will try that. I would love to shoot some of those Werewolf Bullets (silver tips) through a snubbie to feel what the recoil would be. Anywho, the gun shot flawlessly. Nice grouping. Even pretty accurate at a longer distance. All in all, a great .357mag (but what do I know, I am knew to revolvers) LOL
  22. I ordedred it late last night, so I will let everyone know what the down low is when I receive it.
  23. 100% opinion. Held them both and shot them both, and the Maverick "feels" like a cheaper gun, and the 500 seems like a cheaper gun next to the 870. Just my opinion Also we all "have that buddy who......" and we get different stories. True story I know a guy who while dove hunting crossed over a barbed wire fence with his Maverick (on safety)....when he put the but of the gun down on the ground (I guess it had to be forcefully) it fired, shooting him, and resulting in his death. The guy was at fault for not properly handling the firearm, and the Firearm malfunctioned somehow because it was on safety. So all his close friends swear they will never own one. While on the other hand I hand two really good friends who both have Mavericks, and we shot clays together, and they have no problem. They also have the shorter barrels, and folding stock, and all the taticool stuff you can put on a 500, on there Mavericks at home. So my point is opinion are like A-holes.....everybody's got one.....(but some stink more than others) LOL
  24. In my opinion YES!!!!!!!!!!! I have a buddy with a wal-mart maverick, and I think the 500 is worth the extra change, especially if you plan on doing a lot of shooting. The maverick is great for a every once in a while shooter, but the 500 will hold up better, longer.
