  1. The whole time watching it I was waiting for Sarah to tell Kate to grow up or swim to Russia.
  2. Full Mag and one in the chamber, on a Glock model 30, .45acp, tucked in a custom made IWB holster. An unloaded gun is not my idea of being protected.
  3. WOW. We had patches of ice on the roads yesterday (nothing bad), and this morning it was 59 degrees outside.
  4. My first thought was coydog, but one would think that would be reported in the story.....cause we all know how reliable the news is. lol
  5. I thought the same thing, and I own and carry one daily.
  6. The wife and I watched "Sarah Palin's Alaska" last night (we had it recorded on the DVR) and they went to a Bear safety class in preparation for a camping trip. The instructor told them that when confronted face to face with a bear and he opens his mouth to growl at you you should simply say "No Bear, No Bear." No yelling or screaming just in a stern mid level voice say, "No Bear, No." He said they are trying to train the bears to respond to the sound of the human voice. Remembering to say "No Bear, No", might not happen until after I had shot and killed the snarling beast.
  7. That was perfectly stated.
  8. Hello there neighbor. Welcome
  9. I have seen that video before and it disgusts me. Watching an animal suffer and not doing what you can to put it out of it's misery is horrible and degrading to the Human species.
  10. The Rub Line - News, Notes, and Hunt Reports from the Deer & Deer Hunting Staff - Video: What to Do When a Bear Climbs Up Your Stand Black bears are one of the most curious creatures in the deer woods. They're quick to check out new things, such as a deer stand. But what happens if their curiosity is piqued when you're in the stand? This video from a Deer & Deer Hunting reader shows what to do. As the video shows, a simple "hey" will usually scare the bear away. However, had this been a sow with cubs, things could have been more confrontational. When placing a treestand, it's always a good idea to check for bear sign. You wouldn't want someone claiming your treestand before you get a chance to hunt, as this photo from another reader shows. __________________________________________________ ________________ I got nervous watching this video. There is no way I would have let that bear get as far up the ladder as he did. You East Tennessee boys be careful out in the woods.
  11. Yay! More Government Rules.
  12. Very nice deer DRM!
  13. No, whatever you do, do not got to Atlanta. There is a whole TV show about Zombies in Atlanta. They have taken over the city. "The city now belongs to the dead".
  14. lol
  15. That's what I am thinking. It really isn't hunting in that case. LOL
  16. Absolutely brilliant writing! I loved the season finale.
  17. Last time we were in Nashville we ate at Darfon's at 2810 Elm Hill Pike, Nashville, TN. and really enjoyed it. Fox's Pizza Den next Door makes one heck of a pizza too. i am still trying to find a place in Memphis that can make a pizza as good as Fox's Pizza Den. I am very picky about my pizzas and that maybe my problem.
  18. I did too. I did notice that a couple of the guys are "a little eager". The one fellow that cut off the bear's feat and started making tracks to lure poachers.....well that fella has some big iron cohones.
  19. Nat Geo has a new show on called Wild Justice. It follows California Game Wardens on the job. Pretty neat stuff. The first two episodes aired last night and a new one comes on this Wednesday evening. Check it out. Wild Justice | National Geographic Channel
  20. I came up empty handed this weekend. Best I did was spooking a deer up when I was coming out of the woods Friday evening. I did get to take my nephew deer hunting for the first time yesterday. I had my pop up blind already set up but the wind didn't care and came from our backs all day. Oh well, I think he enjoyed getting to go. We did have a deer behind us bleating a lot but she never would come out where we could see. Here is a pic I snapped of him in the blind sitting next to me.
  21. I didn't go out this mornign based on the the full moon and warm weather. My Dad did go and he shot a BIG Doe, but she ran over the property line and died 20 feet from a guy's deer stand. My Dad said about 2 or 3 minuters after he heard the deer fall, he heard a four wheeler crank up and drive away. He followed the blood trail and cam up to the spot on the neighbors property where she retired. Bummer.
  22. How does my Zombie Apocalypse Story start? To Be Continued.........
  23. +1 +10
  24. This is not good. East Bound & Down is only 6 episodes too. What am I going to do?
  25. Did anyone else catch on one of the commercial break it said "Only 3 episodes left"?
