Awesome reply! Mike, I just would like to keep some in there. Not really "store" more like keep some on hand. I am one of those guys that keeps a "get home bag" in my truck and I would like to keep some ammo with me and keeping in my tool box will make sure it stays out of the way.

If I was to keep an ammo can (mil surp) with ammo stored inside my truck bed toolbox (metal diamond plate) .....would this be a bad idea? Is heat a factor? Is condensation a problem?

The wife and I ate at the Outback on Germantown Rd. this past Saturday night. Before entering I stop, looked at every sign they had posted, and not one of them was about guns. Not even the red slash. So I carried, she carried, and we had a horrible overpriced meal. We will not be going back due to the price and poor quality, even if they never post.

It is really odd at the amount of information a person can obtain from a Thread. I have learned a lot about people based on things they have said. I am a member of the NRA. I signed my wife up last year at a gun show. The junk mail that they send doesn't bother me. Hell anyones junk mail doesn't bother me. I just simply toss it in the garbage. One thing the NRA does, that I really appreciate is inform me of Bills that are brought up congress or senate. They keep me informed of everything that is going on, on the political side of Firearms and point me in the direction of who to contact on the issues. Having a constant voice in DC standing up for my 2nd amendment right, keeping me abreast on issues, and the monthly publications are, in my opinion, well worth the membership fee.
