  1. So does the 5.11 not rip as easy and stay more tru to the "rip-stop" idea?
  2. That was awesome!
  3. He could you the famous Line "It wasn't me" NWS ....well maybe, it's safe at my work YouTube - Shaggy - It Wasn't Me (Music Video)
  4. Welcome to TGO from another Memphian!
  5. You know I noticed a couple of typos already. It thought it was kinda weird. After a few of the "de-breifing" that are in the begining, I figured morals were tossed out the window, even thought they have stopped to pray twice in the first three chapters. It seems like, a fun read, and thats what I figured it to be. I normally stir clear from fiction, because I always tell myself it's for entertainment and I read for knowledge. However a friend gave me a book by Ken Follet abut early Stone Masons titled "The Pillars of the Earth", and I again realized how much enjoyment I could get from reading a Fictional tale loosely related to actual events. So I decided to try this book out.
  6. You got that right!
  7. "Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse" Amazon.com: Patriots: A Novel of Survival in the Coming Collapse (9781569755990): James Wesley Rawles: Books Has anyone read this book? I picked it up last night, and I have read the first 3 chapters, and I am hooked. It seems like it will be a good read spinkled with a little information. any thoughts? or any other Book Suggestions?
  8. itching to shoot
  9. And one of the other "merchants" had an AK. I can't imagine going into that situation having zero firearms.
  10. Yall just think..... What if Dog would wear one of these shirts.
  11. If I had known that this thread would have took this turn, I would have posted this question long ago. I am literally "Laughing Out Loud". This is great.
  12. Thanks Joe!
  13. I can't believe I am posting a question about clothes, but here goes. I normally wear Cargo Pants, either Wrangler Cargo Jeans or the Black or Khaki Cargos. I Love them. I like having the extra pockets and what not, plus they fit great for a fat boy. Well the other day I drove out to the Army Surplus store in Collierville and while I was there I bought a pair of the olive colored BDUs with the "web" design on them. They are made of a thin material (very breathable) and have a "web type threading on them". I have wore them once, and thought they were great. But here is my question..... Will I look like a "mall ninja" if I buy more of these and wear them out? I will be sticking to the basic colors: Khaki Black Olive Gray I will not be wearing the camo patterns out, maybe in the woods but not out around town. What do you guys think. If you saw someone out wearing BDUs and you knew they were not military or LE, would you sniker? Not that I really care, but I guess I do.
  14. I agree. I know in this situation I would not surround myself with people who bring nothing to the table. Really odd the "types" of people that they threw together, but I am thinking they are putting it together as a bunch of liberals trying to survive.
  15. I agree. The one episode I watched had the "marauders" attacking, and the "traders" coming to trade things. I thought the trades was a little off balanced. The absence of firearms in a TEOTWAWKI situation is a little silly.
  16. Here is another survival show that will be airing on Spike TV. Surviving Disaster "What will you do when disaster strikes? Spike TV's new original series Surviving Disaster, led by Navy SEAL Cade Courtley, vividly takes viewers through catastrophic scenarios and arms them with the knowledge needed to survive the unthinkable. Courtley tackles worst-case scenarios and equips viewers with the practical information needed to save their own lives and the lives of their loved ones. Whether the threat is natural or man-made or on a national or personal level, Courtley speaks directly to the viewers and guides them through a comprehensive, step-by-step process to not only survive the big picture disaster, but endure the many dangerous obstacles that may occur within each catastrophic event. While leading viewers out of danger, Courtley not only provides helpful tips and hands-on instruction, but swiftly points out common misconceptions and fatal mistakes. Unlike any other series, Surviving Disaster may actually save lives by providing actions that anyone can perform." I am looking forward to this show. I hope it turns out to be worth watching.
  17. Has anyone seen this show? Colony : Discovery Channel I have watched one episode, and I have mixed feelings about the show, but I will hang in there to see what info I can gain from the scenarios.
  18. Work tomorrow sucks.
  19. I could have sworn I heard banjos playing in the distant background.
