  1. I like to believe ~ "If you have to ask, then the answer is no". In my opinion, I would not trade.
  2. I got this in an email today and thought I would share. Enjoy A Dog's Purpose? (From a 6-year-old). Being a veterinarian, I had been called to examine a 10-year-old Irish Wolfhound named Belker. The dog's owners, Ron, his wife Lisa, and their little boy Shane, were all very attached to Belker, and they were hoping for a miracle. I examined Belker and found he was dying of cancer. I told the family we couldn't do anything for Belker, and offered to perform the euthanasia procedure for the old dog in their home. As we made arrangements, Ron and Lisa told me they thought it would be good for 6-year-old Shane to observe the procedure. They felt as though Shane might learn something from the experience. The next day, I felt the familiar catch in my throat as Belker’s family surrounded him. Shane seemed so calm, petting the old dog for the last time, that I wondered if he understood what was going on Within a few minutes, Belker slipped peacefully away. The little boy seemed to accept Belker's transition without any difficulty or confusion. We sat together for a while after Belker's Death, wondering aloud about the sad fact that animal lives are shorter than human lives. Shane , who had been listening quietly, piped up, ''I know why.'' Startled, we all turned to him. What came out of his mouth next stunned me. I'd never heard a more comforting explanation. It has changed the way I try to live. The boy said "People are born so that they can learn how to live a good life -- like loving everybody all the time and being nice, right?'' The 6-year-old continued,’ "Well, dogs already know how to do that, so they don't have to stay as long.'' Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply. Speak kindly. Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like: When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure Ecstasy. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. Be loyal. Never pretend to be something you're not. If what you want lies buried, dig until you find it. When someone is having a bad day, be silent, sit close by, and nuzzle them gently. ENJOY EVERY MOMENT OF EVERY DAY!
  3. .44 mag or, if your willing to put your big boy pants on S&W 500 mag
  4. Thanks TDR Anybody else out there owns a Glock 30SF? and if so, what holster are you using?
  5. I was pointing out that the caliber requirement on handguns fell under the muzzle loader heading. Sorry this wasn't completely clear. I have taken my .357 out with me just incase of a close enough shot presented itself for me. Hey Roy your pistol has a 4" barrel I believe. To be clear: Centerfire Handguns, with barrels 4" or larger, are legal to hunt with in TN.
  6. Page 16 of the TN Hunting regulation booklet. Legal Equipment Deer, Bear, ELK, Boar and Feral Hog Hunting 1. Shotguns using ammunition loaded with single solid ball or rifled slugs. No restriction on number of rounds in magazine. 2. Rifles using any center-fire ammunition. 3. These muzzleloading firearms are legal during any gun season or hunt unless otherwise specified. Muzzleloading firearms are defined as those firearms which are incapable of being loaded from the breech. 4. Longbows, compound bows, crossbows and other bows drawn or held by a mechanical device. 5. Hunting arrows and bolts shall be of a barbless design and shall have sharpened blades. 6. Centerfire handguns firing a single projectile and having a barrel length of four inches or more. 7. 8. Good Luck man. Hope you kick it and enjoy the new gun in your future.
  9. I have got to try my hand at yote hunting.
  10. Nice Puppy! lol
  11. Really? That sucks. I just tried to go to their website and it won't pull up. I hate that. Brock made a great holster. His time frame was tough to swallow, but it was worth a quality holster.
  12. Very nice man.
  13. I am confused too.
  14. A good friend of mine shot my Glocks model 30 and fell in love and went and bought himself the new slimmer version the Model 30SF. The problem he is having is in finding a holster. With the addition of the rail (we assume) is causing most holsters made for a model 30 to push his slide back (just a little) when he holsters it. I have a holster that I ordered from Kentucky Hybrid Holsters, and we loosened the screws just a hair, and his gun fit in it perfect. However he would still like to have more options. Any ideas????
  15. awesome pic.
  16. Hey Roy, how about a Remington 700 .30-06 in realtree camo. You can't go wrong there.

  19. A white 1990 Pontiac Bonneville. My God-mother sold it to me for 10 bucks. I traded it in on the 2000 Silverado I drive now. On my Bonneville a friend and I put a flowmaster muffler on it and a chrome truck tip. I never cut the tip to fit the car, so it stuck out past the rear bumper 9 inches. My wife (at the time was my girlfriend) burnt her leg on it once while walking around the back of the car. It was pure awesome. I really liked that car. It had the 3.8 liter 6 cyl. I had 180,000 + miles on it when I traded it. The transmission was starting to slip and I had broken the drivers seat. Her name was Bonnie and went a lot of place together.
  20. Is there a way to see your referrals? My profile says I have 2 referrals. I would like to know their screen names. You would think I would know this.
  21. +1000000000 No one is twisting your arm making you become a benefactor. Also you are right, there are other website setup up for buying and selling firearms that do way more business then TGO does in this Department and that is because this is not a Gun Store/Swap Shop. This is a Gun Forum that has a small place for the members who have decided to help finance this operation to buy, sell, or trade with each other. I am a benefactor (before I was a mod) and I have bought only one firearm from a member and I have sold none. I pay the price because I enjoy the forum and would hate to see it go away due to funding problems.
  22. I would be up for a group trip.
  23. That is great. There is nothing like introducing a person to hunting. Also, without pictures it never happened. Just kidding......kinda
