I know, I know, I am new here, but here it goes anyways..... This is crazy. A crappy reload in any gun will screw it up, Glock, S&W, H&K, Kimber, Ruger, Sig,etc. God how small minded some people are. I absolutely hate Sigs, so I guess I need to start talking about how crappy reload will blow-up a Sig. Ok let it rip Glock Haters. For the record I do carry a glock but I also am a fan of the XD, Kimber 1911, all wheelguns, Rugers, Remingtons, Mossbergs, Savage, and a few others.

Glock Model 30 .45acp in a fobus paddle hoster strong side. Loaded with 11 Remington 230 gr. Gold Sabers. The reason - Smallest .45 that could hold 11 and I could shoot the best. In the summer time, when I am wearing shorts, I sometimes carry a Bersa Thunder .380, mexican stlye strong side. I recently bought a Ruger P89, from another member on here, and I have carried it a few time, but it is just a large gun. But it is good for a change.

That will probably be the tigers last run for a least a year or two. Dorsey is leaving, and Rose will probably be out of their for the pros. CDR might stay for his senior year, but I wouldn't if I was him. They played a good game, just not good enough. Congrats to the Jayhawks!

I wonder If we can start that back up and I will apply for a bus driver position.

I have a Bersa Thunder .380 (my wife's), and we both love it. It is a great deal for the price. My dad also has one, (I used his for my permit class 4 back in 04) and it works flawlessly also. Good friend of mine also has one for his wife and no complaints from them either. It is in my opinion a great little gun, and I even carry it in the summer time, "Mexican style" in my shorts.

http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=550134 If I step her up in caliber it will be to a .40, which is an option, but I was just curious if anyone has ever shot +Ps in their thunder .380

Has anyone ever shot .380+P throught their Bersa Thunder .380. This is the gun my wife has, and let me add she is very accurate with it, and she will be going for her permit soon, and I would like for her to carry +Ps when she starts carrying if at all possible.

Wal-Mart ws my first place to visit after I got my permit. I bought two boxes of Winchester White Box .45acp ammo, with a big grin on my face.

Glad you wasn't just firing away, because as you said, that could have been ugly. Good to here you and the gun are ok.

My new 870 express did the same thing first time out. Afterwards I took it home cleaned and lubed it all up, and it is working great now.

This is un-thinkable. WOW....I wonder how long it will take before the People's Republic of California jump on this idea. -
better defense round - .357mag or .45ACP
memphismason replied to nightrunner's topic in Ammunition and Reloading
I don't like to get invovled with the Ford vs. Chevy type arguments. And all the people hating on Glocks, is silly. A person's gun choice should be based on what they can effectively use. For example I hate Sigs. They are great functioning guns, but I just don't enjoy shooting them. I would never think about talking someone out of buying one though, just because I don't like it. I love my Glock model 30, but that is a PERSONAL perference. If I at all thought I couldn't handle a .45 correctly I would have no problem with carrying a .357. The only reason I didn't buy a revovler for my persoanl carry weapon, is number of rounds. I have friends who are wheelgun only type guys and they are macho enough to say, "All you need is 5 to 6 rounds of well placed .357 or .38 special, and that will do the job." and I agree to some extent, but I don't have enough faith in myself (in a shooting situation) to be that macho. I want my 11 rounds plus my extra mag of ten on my side. Hey thugs in Memphis sometimes run in packs. But I wouldn't cry if I had a .357 magnum with a few speed-loaders ready to go, just means I would get to practice more. Now I love a .357 mag revolver. I am currently in the market for a used wheelgun, to keep at home. One of the deciding factors for me buying my .45 was penetration. After you pull the trigger, you are responsible for that bullet, and whatever it hits. So after research I decided I wanted the slowest, fatest round I could comfortably carry in a gun, and the Glock Model 30 meet those needs. I carry Remington Gold Sabers in 230 grains. Go ahead everyone blast away. PS I recoomend using what you can use the most effectively. If you have shot hundreds of .45acp, and you just couldn't preform as good as you did with the .357, then you need the .357, and vice versa. -
Thanks for the explanation. I will try to make it there next Tuesday.

Hello, I'm new here too.

We have to be sure the person wants to join, "to be one ask one". That is all it takes. I don't know the situation, but if you asked "What do I need to do, to becaome a Freemason?", then his answer should have been, "You just did it". He would have then given you a petition to join, and then the process would have started.

Thanks for all your welcomes. To answer your question Saintsfanbrian: Being a man, freeborn, of good repute and well-recommended; A belief in a Supreme Being; Ability to support one's self and family; Of lawful age; and Come to Freemasonry of their "own free will and accord". That it is, if a person meets the above requirements, then they should ask for a petition to join, and then the process starts.

I got my email from the local guy (Mike Webb), about this meeting. I am interested in helping out in this, so I will try to make it. Our lodge meets on Tuesday nights, but I think this is a worthy effort so I think I will try to make it. What usually goes on in these meetings? If you would rather tell me than type any details just send me a pm and I will give you my cell number.

Hello everyone. I just came across this site today, and I like what I see so far. I have a love for guns, and have been shooting since I was a young boy. I am a freq. user on glocktalk.com and mastermason.com, and I look forward to jumping in the disscussions here. Any local gun clubs around town? I have a group of friends that I meet up with on Thursday nights at Range USA, so our wives and girlfriends can shoot for free, but we are not organized. I would be interested in any info on shooting/gun clubs. Anyways, I look foward to having conversations with you guys.
