Wife and I have been to Savvanah several times. We love it there. Will be a while until we go back but it is a nice place. I don't care anything about ghosts or the like but there are a lot of those "tours".     Chattanooga? Yeah, well I guess it's ok;) Really though, I guess for someone that has never been to Chattanooga it would be worth it for a trip downtown in the nice areas. Stay in the nice areas, but that goes for anywhere I suppose, including Savannah, Georgia.

  3. Ahh...you clearly have now than he ever will or was even born with.
  4. I think this is probably the case. In the above photos of my G-Shock show mostly that it takes nice photos and until I prove it affects the images negatively I should probably just leave it as is. I am just afraid it is plastic shavings or something to the point where eventually the lens will strop working correctly.
  5. Is that something I should actually try?
  6. What worries me is that it wasn't there when I bought it. I am concerned it is gear shavings or the like.
  7. Full resolution images when you click. Note the scuff in the pics of the lens body and then the fiber/piece in the lens itself. It is not on either the front or rear of the glass, it is internal. Images of my watch were taken with the 85mm in question. It seems to do nice.
  8. I don't think so. I looked it over a lot and then some before I bought it. Was looking for mold and anything else. Looks almost like a stringy fiber or something about a mm or so. I doubt I could ever get a pic but I will try.
  9. Come on! Everyone knows the Glock 7 is a porcelain gun made to go through metal detectors and costs more than most make in a month.
  10. So I just bought a used Canon 85mm 1.8 lens for $300. I think I like it but I kind of have buyer's remorse. Has a bit of wear and even though I looked it over a lot before purchasing I think I found a spec of something in it internally that is bigger than dust. It seems to take good photos but I have just always bought new lenses so it feels sort of odd.

  12.   Yeah, I have one that was essentially given to me as a form of payment for some work. I was pleasantly surprised that it feels decently built and is quite adjustable, more so than the cheap free tripod that Amazon gave me with a T3i purchase one order. It was so very, very lightweight and I did not like it. The Dolica is pretty nice for still photography. It would of course leave you wanting more for anything video related.
  13.   Some people's definition of "cheap" and mine may be different, but this is the nicest tripod I've owned:   Dolica Proline   I think that's the exact one but they have several different models for different prices. To me, it is "decent" at under $100.
  14. Well, what I thought was a great deal (hopefully) just got better.   After speaking with Adorama, I think they are going to adjust it.   http://www.adorama.com/ICA6DZ.html   Now it is purchase price $1,849 - ($300 instant rebate). That means you pay $1,549. But, it is still eligible for $250 mail in rebate. If it works, final price of $1,299.   1,299   That includes the 6D, Pixama Pro 100, and some of that really expensive paper.   I bet a 6D MKII is anounced soon:(
  15. Once you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth.   Sherlock Holmes
  16. Of course he will be Spock and always be Spock, and I really appreciate that he was in the two new Star Trek movies, but to me his favorite portraying will probably always be William Bell.
  17. So...I was browsing Amazon and found that the Canon 6d has a $300 rebate.   Rebate   Then I researched some more and found that Adorama has an even better deal!   $1,989.00 OTD up front price gets you:   Canon 6d (body only) Canon Pixma Pro-100 50 Sheets of Photo Paper   But...it comes with $550 worth of rebates! So truly, $1,439 is the final price for all of that!   so...i bought it   I don't know if I am going to keep that printer or not. It is very tempting as I would like that ability, I'll just have to research the consumables (ink/paper) that it would actually take for a nice "print". Walmart or Shutterfly sound like better options to me, but research may show otherwise.   So, I'll be throwing my T3i up here soon (maybe tonight, but it is hard to take a picture of a camera you are taking a picture with.   Be careful, the rebate is only good for purchases from Authorized Canon Dealers up until the 28th of February (tomorrow).

  19. Yep. I updated a few posts above in order to speak of the T-mobile network. Using it right now. So far it is so much better than Sprint's. Will just have to keep using it to see coverage everywhere.
