  2. http://escapeexperiencechattanooga.com   My Wife and I, with two more friends, all went down to "Escape Chattanooga" tonight and gave "C-Block" a try. Man, let me tell you, it was so much harder than we thought it would be. We escaped with about 2 minutes left on the clock, having spent 58 escaping.   It isn't cheap but honestly it isn't too expensive either. For a birthday or something, I think it is totally a justifiable splurge. The level of detail in the setup was quite amazing, I was so surprised about halfway through it once we were pretty good into it.   I highly recommend giving it a try, we are super pumped and would love to give the other two "tests" a try soon.
  3. So today Amazon has had the Mohu Leaf 30 on and off sale (dependent on stock) for $14.99. I ordered one just to give it a go.   http://amzn.to/1hEEvCu

  5. I thought I remember something about some being imported into the country as pistols. I could be wrong but that would just make it a 4473. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. You don't really have a genuine chance seeing professionals coming. Coincidentally you don't see them leave either. Guess you really don't see anything at that point. Maybe have him talk to Gecko45. I hear he innovated something with duct tape. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8.   You also forgot about going out and buying popcorn equal to your hourly pay, putting it in as big a bucket you can find, and then drenching it in about 1-2 cups worth of fake butter. Then you get to drop about 1/3 of all of it on the floor.
  9. For anyone that might be intersted in camera shopping and doesn't mind a cropped sensor, this is a good deal! http://amzn.to/1J3tKCr Canon T5, Kit Lens, and 75-300mm III. If under "Configuration" you select "Free Accessories", they will also include a 16GB SanDisk card as well as the AmazonBasics 60" Tripod.
  10. I am thinking of selling four Fossil watches. Wondering about value for each watch as it might not even be "worth it". Just looking for a rough estimation. I might post them on Ebay or here depending on street value.
  11.   http://www.tngunowners.com/forums/topic/90120-raven-concealment-phantom-modular-holster-for-sw-shield/#entry1297482   I would have bought this but as you know I already bought one. You'd have to purchase some hardware for IWB carry but you'd still come out ahead.   I already have the Tuckable Soft-Loops with Offset Wings for my other hoslter, so for this new one for the Shield I purchased the "Tuckable Overhooks". I t hink I will like them (will like them if they work as advertised).   http://raven-concealment-systems1.mybigcommerce.com/iwb-holster-and-carrier-accessories/ EDIT: If it was something that you didn't want, I bet you could sell the OWB pancake for $15 shipped
  12.   Could we maybe offer a 3/5 compromise? For every 5 welfare receipients (citizen or not) that we deport we can keep 3 hardworking "illegals" and make them taxpaying citizens?

  14. Sounds familiar. Thanks guys for keeping me perpetually broke.
  15. $350? SW shield Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. The only issue you would have is if you just so happen to take wider photos. If you buy it and find it doesn't work for you, return it, sell it, or keep it and buy a wider lens as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17.   Sell a Glock? I showed you where you could get a used 18-55 for under $70 in very good condition. Personally, were I you I'd buy that 50mm lens. When I had my T3i (a cropped sensor camera) I had the 50mm 1.4 and at one time the 50mm 1.8 II and hardly ever touched the "kit lens".   The 18-55 is a zoom lens, that means you can change the focal length. The 50mm 1.8 STM is a prime lens, that means the focal length stays the same. The 18-55 costs more new than the 50mm STM because it has a bunch more complexities and moving parts. Just because the 50mm STM is 1/2 of the cost of the kit lens does not make it inferior. The glass is much better and faster. You will gain 3.5 full stops (meaning that at 1.8 you will let much, much, much more light into the sensor. That means you can shoot inside without a flash and still take good photos.   All I can say is please do not pay full price for the kit lens, if I have to I will contact some of my photographer friends and see if any of them they'd get rid of cheaply.
  18. If you decide you'd rather stick with what you know, there is always this:   http://amzn.to/1Noe9Ow   Looks like for $60 to $70 you can replace that lens. I doubt the one you have is the IS (Image Stabilization) version, so it is technically an upgrade although many people would argue you probably do not need IS on a shorter focal length lens; It would be there to turn on if you decide you want it. Personally I would not pay "full price" for a kit lens though. That lens shows up as $199 NIB. For about $200 or so more you could upgrade to a much newer body, kit lens included, and either sell or keep the older XS body that you have.   T5 with 18-55 lens: http://amzn.to/1MmES0Z $399
  19. Well, set the 18-55mm on about 50mm and that will be the same image you see more or less. The one I linked to is a 50mm prime. Prime means that the focal length does not change. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20.   And...also...if you dont' mind a bit of adventure (at this point I don't see why you wouldn't), sometimes you can find guides on the internet pertaining to specific issues with specific lenses. You might could fix it yourself. Or you could sell it for a few bucks on Ebay/Craigslist to someone who could fix it or doesn't mind a manual focus lens. The one thing I wouldn't do is spend money to get it fixed. Those lenses are very common, a dime a dozen you'd say, and it'd be much easier and cheaper probably to just find someone that has one that they don't want. Or "upgrade" to a bit higher glass, such as the one I linked to above.
  21.   No problem. Tha'ts good news and also bad news I guess. The 75-300 will be a bit tight for shooting tonight for you, but you can hold onto the XS for a bit longer if you so desire.   Seeing as how the XS has a 1.6x crop factor, a 50mm lens on your camera will "act" as about an 80mm on a full-frame (35mm sensor/film).   Now, it isn't what you want for large group shots or anything, but I would suggest perhaps this:   http://amzn.to/1MitVfk   That's the newest "Nifty Fifty" that Canon makes. It has STM, which is primarily a bonus when shooting video, but it's a great lens. It is very sharp, it focuses closer compared to the older one, and has full-time manual focus override. I sold my 50mm 1.4 and replaced it with the 50mm 1.8 STM:)   I say to do this because the 85mm is a great, great portrait lens. But on a 1.6 crop body it will be about a 136 focal length equivalent, which is fine for potraits but not so much inside.   In my opinion, everyone should own that lens simply for the fact that it is such a huge upgrade from the "kit lens" that so many cameras come with.   EDIT: And if you just liked the focal length coverage of the kit lens, they can be found for very cheap on Ebay/Craigslist used.
  22. Well, it could be different things. Is it a Nikon or Canon (or else)? I believe that Canon lenses have the autofocus motor built into the lenses. I believe Nikons are built into the body.   If you can, try the following:   A different lens on your camera body The same lens on a different but like camera body (for example, Canon EF lenses are compatible with basically any Canon EOS camera, ever) Then you can determine whether it is the body or lens that is acting up.   What lens and what body are you experincing this with?
  23. I don't think the "Tremor" that the OP was talking about was an earthquake:) http://amzn.to/1P3rnAM Please, for either $6.96 for DVD or $19.65 for Blu-Ray for ALL FOUR MOVIES, everyone buy those if you haven't already seen them. They are hilariously corny, but genuinely good movies. Plus they have one of the greatest characters of all time, Burt Gummer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcsLaSBWG9k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Ew_jfj9798

Hahahahha.   Buyer got his money and I never saw the lens again. I'm assuming that it was either delivered or lost or stolen by customs somewhere. Long gone, all dealt with, I chalked it up to a reasonable loss of doing business (especially overseas). Only problem I have ever had on Ebay.
