  1. I owned some polarized Oakley Whiskers. Or was it Whisper? I now own Wiley-X. Love them. Love them love them love them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I just thought I would update this thread with good news:   http://amzn.to/1fR2EUr   Tremors 5 is going to be released on DVD/Blu-Ray on 10/6/2015!
  3. Wow. I like watching funny videos before going to bed. That takes the cake tonight. Seriously, the dumbest, most dangerous, idiotic, stupidest, horrible firearm accessory ever devised. Maybe one of you will buy Voldemort one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I gave it a thought...(with an unloaded gun)...I decided against it.   Personally, even if I was confident that I would never holster/unholster the weapon from that position, the mere fact it is basically pointing at your femoral artery when sitting down was a big enough reason to make me decide never. Lots of people carry this way, but it isn't for me. It was unnerving even with an unloaded gun. I would not be able to be mentally comfortable knowing that I had a loaded gun pointed at my groin/artery.
  5. It shot nice. I sold it because it didn't feel enough like a Glock to save $100 or so bucks. Guess I decided that to me it was worth selling and "upgrading". The Shield is nice for what it is...a quite small 9mm. Also, I literally shot probably 5 mags through it. It is basically brand new. Maybe it will loosen up after a while. 6.   Well...they watch you over cameras but the cameras have no sound. Thus they have given you a two-way radio. You can request up to 3 clues/hints and them not count against your "total time" for beating the best time. If you don't care about beating the best time or if you have already passed the best time, you can request as many as you want.   We probably did 4 hints.
  7.   C-Block. They handcuffed us all together arm to arm. Stuck us in a quite realistic "cell" and then locked the door. It's really locked. Of course for legal reasons there is a "panic button" that will unlock the door, but there is a legitimate way out. The premise is that you were locked away but innocent. Someone knows you are innocent so a guard is helping you escape. Had you transferred to this cell where it is setup just right for you to escape. You have an hour. It took us 58 minutes or more. Barely made it.   Clues, puzzles, math, searching (looking for  hidden things), as well as just common sense about working together and stuff.   i think everyone should give it a go once. the detail and amount of items setup was surprising. Each scenario requires different skills.   http://escapeexperiencechattanooga.com/#scenarios
  8.   I know, but I'm already known around here as "that guy" so it isn't exactly like anything new about me is being learned, but rather just educated about firearms as a whole.
  9. I dropped a printed copy of that on their desks.
  10. That's smart and what I may do. I may try and type up a short letter simply thanking them for their attention and then express to them that although they may have no interest at all, and that I respect that decision if that so be, but that I would be honored to be able to give them a safe introduction to firearms and correct some facts that I feel the media typically skews the truth on. I personally feel that I doubt either would take me up on it but I do feel it would be a good thing.
  11. Today I overhead my boss and his boss discussion firearms mainly because of the reporters being shot. I finally decided to interject and discuss things with them.   I ended up fully explaining 4473's, FFL's, HCP's locally and nationally, registration, private sales "loopholes", , TN carry laws, etc. It was a quite lengthy conversation but I could tell they were interested.   Generally speaking, I would say that they are both "not gun-people" and not "pro gun-people" but mainly just accept whatever rhetoric that the news passes on to them. Personally I feel that they both are likely at minimum pro restriction/background checks/waiting period type people, and would likely jump on board with any "scary guns are evil" rhetoric as well.   I hope I did more good than harm, but I feel everyone should be educated instead of misinformed. That being said, sometimes someone misinformed but inactive is better for us than someone who knows the truth and decides to become active because they disagree with current firearm laws. So it was a tossup but I thought they both deserved to be informed so they can make their choice rather than a forced choice given to them by the skewed news (such as the "unregistered firearm" term used by the media).    I respect both of them greatly but do wish they were more onboard with some of the firearm stuff.    I guess I am posting this here because I'd like positive suggestions on maybe anything I could briefly followup on in terms of maybe a printout or any ideas that would be a positive "fight". I hope to be able to thank them for allowing me to converse with them regarding the issues and to feel free to ask any questions they may ever have.
  12.   It's decent money ($28 a person and I'm paying for two) but it is also a lot of fun. I hope to be able to go do the Vaccine and the Inheritance in the coming weeks/months. If you haven't done "C-Block", it was good but I have nothing to compare it to.
  13. Yeah we decided 6 was probably really too many depending on who it is. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Looks so bad just makes me tear up looking at it. Although I cannot figure out how it happened. He would have been holding the string essentially so no pressure would have been on the arrow until he released it. It must have gotten "stuck" up front causing the aged shaft to split and make his left hand wish it were a right hand that day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Well two different people said it so it must be true. I happen to believe them entirely;) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Ok, so seriously though, I guess I am one of the odd guys out but I really just prefer to keep my Gen 3's or Gen 4's stock without stippling. Edit: but you did do a quality job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. So I just got through doing mine, what do you think?
  18. Well, I love my cordless Milwaukee drill and impact driver. But I have read that cordless dremel stuff is underpowered. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I think this is more of an example of dumb zero tolerance and lack of common sense than it is a political statement. "no flags allowed". Half the patriots in the school figure out some way to display American flag. "well, we did say NO FLAGS". It's like me. I wore a very nice button up shirt to school once and got a dress code violation because it was striped instead of solid. Didn't matter that it was nicer than the majority of shirts at the school. And yep, I knew that would probably happen but it didn't stop me expressing myself. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. I'm wondering if he tried but failed to respond about the Gen 4 Glock 17 for sale in the classifieds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. http://amzn.to/1JmlOMH   Worth buying at this price ($74.99)?   EDIT: It is today's deal of the day, that's why I'm asking. I don't have a Dremmel tool but have been wanting one.
  22. EDIT:   I think GlowdotGlock is going to take care of us.   At Dolomite's suggestion, I am looking for a member who might drive around TN often and can help us complete a classifieds sell. The buyer will pay me directly and item will be boxed and sealed appropriately.   Some form of compensation will be worked out for the "driver", preferably on both ends (I give you something, the buyer also gives you something.   You must have good feedback for this to work out, as well as a decently active member here.   I will meet you in the Cleveland or Chattanooga area or the equivalent. If you can do this, I will also put you in touch with the buyer, or they can post here if they wish.
