At some point in time before the end of the year my Wife and I plan on going to North Carolina. It's been 3.5 years since we have been so I don't remember absolutely everything about gun vibes there. It seems that specifically: Must Inform Can carry in alcholohic resteraunts (unless specifically posted) Can carry in parades/public gatherings (unless specifically posted) Can carry in state parks Now, strictly legally speaking and nothing else, what should I bring? Is Ashville so yuppie that everything is posted and not worth even carrying there? Going to the Biltmore quite possibly, assuming it is a no-go there?

Put up a "buster" sign of sorts, on my storm door.

Heads up about the owner of Shooter's Depot in Chattanooga
GlockSpock replied to Junkstack's topic in General Chat
I took my HCP class there. The guy that taught the class was range officer for CPD if I recall correctly. He was great. The owner of the shop seemed annoying. Was looking at holsters and he tried to convince me that whatever brand (Tigua, something like that) of holsters was just as good as those overpriced made in America "High Noon Holsters" that I mentioned to him. I don't think so but maybe. One of the officers just got to the parking lot, got out and was holding his rifle walking towards the building. There was another officer just standing on the sidewalk with his rifle hanging from its sling. They seemed at the ready, waiting either for someone else (maybe to pick them up) or for someone to arrive with prisoners perhaps. Might note that the College Dale Police Department is attached to the Municipal Court. Now that I think about it perhaps court in session and what I saw were unrelated. It just isn't everyday that you see officers sporting rifles as such in public. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Edit: I retread your post again and a shift change could be it. Maybe the officer standing was waiting for a vehicle to arrive.

Something that caught my attention when getting to the court. Outside I noticed two officers. One was getting out of his car with an AR-15 and the other was standing on the sidewalk next to the building with an AR-15. I may have been imagining it but I think I heard the sound of a bolt slamming home as I walked into the building. Do they have guards done there at all times? Responding to a possible threat? I will note that in the courtroom for "Traffic Court" were probably at least 180 people (10 people per row, 9 or 10 rows per side, two total sides) and some of them that were there were incarcerated criminals that also had traffic violations attached to their charges. Were they there because of the transfer of these prisonors? Overall, I would say the experience in total was a good one. Instead of $133.75 I only have $65.00 and have up until May 18th to complete Defensive Driving School.

Great! I just got back from court. At the very beginning he called a list of names from the ~180 or so people there and had us approach the bench. Due to several factors, we were awarded defensive driving school and only have to pay $65 and avoid having it on our record as well. 3 of us (not myself) had to pay court costs because their speed was "excessive" (I presume this takes into factors such as what road, time of day, etc possibly). So, only $65 (instead of the ~$130 amount for the ticket) and it stays off my record! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My court date is later this afternoon. Until then I'll be watching My Cousin Vinny, hoping to learn not only what attire to wear but also how to handle myself properly. Wish me luck!

Oh, ok. I don't have network television and have only been reading about this and that. Too bad those guys didn't observe existing laws, they totally should have! Yet what we need are more laws to prevent more stuff from happening....psych!

I would like this touched on.It was stated that the weapons were purhased legally four years ago. What was not touched on was if they were california compliant (small-cap magazines, bullet buttons, etc).

Does your car have anything that looks like this? If not, belt:)

Well, masks and body armor maybe. To the regular Joe Schmo out there and the alarmist media, every single picture shown here is of body armor: https://www.google.com/search?q=load+bearing+vest&biw=1664&bih=574&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiq56Kegb7JAhVG7SYKHatuDWgQ_AUIBygC Masks, three people, and they are trying to get away? I wonder if Obama can call this one workplace violence? Looks like the Inland Regional Center is some sort of mental/disability center. Interesting.

I know for one I don't automatically ask if they are ok with me having a knife in my pocket, an iPhone in the other, and an SUV parked in their driveway (all of these has the potential to insult someone). It just so happens I may have a Glock 19 strapped to my side. Yes, respecting others rights and wishes on their property is important, but if they are not explicitly anti-gun then I just assume I am doing them a favor by protecting them from harm while I visit. If they were to somehow find out then in that case I would either respectively leave or place the gun in my SUV. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If my Wife and I were not renting but owners, we'd take this guy off your hands in a heartbeat. A beautiful dog! -
In years past we have had a show and tell thread for Secret Santa. I know of at least a few items that should have been delivered now. I figured this would be a good thread to make sure that your purchase was successfully delivered and appreciated.
