  1. Yep, I think we will go to the bioluminescent bay. Never heard of that food but researching now. I love trying new food. And part of your comment was slightly confusing. Are you saying that Puerto Rico is likely safer than any major city in Florida? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. You see all sum guns is ugly and sum are right buitiful. Glocks usualy ugly but me personaly I just got mine bak from a frind who dun it rite and now shes perfect in everry way! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. This is not an endorsement but rather a PSA. Assuming that not only is this a reputable seller (I think it is) but also that Walther will give the rebate on this purchase (I think they would), the PPQ 9mm can be found here for cheap: $494 PPQ 9mm Free Shipping $537 PPQ 9mm Navy Free Shipping I'm torn, I mean can you really beat either of those prices after you factor in a $100 rebate? Since the rebate is open a while I may buy one within the next few weeks/months.
  4. Theoretically speaking, if it were to work out doesn't the fact that Puerto Rico is a U.S. Territory change anything?
  5. Yeah, if it were legitimate and easy I'd do it. Doesn't seem to be either. Too bad but oh well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. The more I read about it the more I believe it will not be viable. It seems it can take months to obtain just the Obtaining and Transportation license (needed to purchase I believe). Since they are "may issue" on the carry permit, it seems they are quite restrictive on who they allow to obtain one. Would still love to hear from the aforementioned friend that may have greater firsthand knowledge though. That said, I'm about to chunk this one in the "don't worry about it" pile.
  7. If he is quite familiar with it, see if he is ok with me calling or texting him to discuss this.
  8. My Wife and I are considering a vacation to Puerto Rico. I began to research laws pertaining to carrying there. It seems we are in the unfortunate predicament in that Tennessee honors a Puerto Rico permit but Puerto Rico does not honor any other state or territory's permit. It seems that $100 may be paid to obtain a permit, and it even appears that this may be open to anyone a citizen of The United States of America and not necessarily just Puerto Rico residents. With that being said, it seems that it may taken up to 120 days at the discretion of the superintendent. Photos and fingerprints are also required, I think, but it seems that the requirements for purchasing/owning a firearm blend into the requirements for carrying a firearm. Perhaps any individual would need both, I could foresee that. I know generally you simply have to declare a firearm on the airline but I read that once in PR the firearm gets turned over to the policía (police). Then, in order to obtain possession of the firearm, you have to have "required documentation" whatever that may consist of. My main question is whether or anyone here has any experience with going through this process and whether or not I should even attempt at doing so myself. If it were simply paying $100 to obtain the "right" to carry, I'd do so even though the vacation is only a week long. However, the more complex the process becomes the less likely it is that I even start it. While researching, I found that a few years ago a court ruled PR's firearm laws unconstitutional so it would allow anyone to carry open or concealed. However, at the end of 2016 a higher court reversed that ruling so nothing truly changed. Oh well:( Link to PR's Firearms section on their website: https://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?depth=1&hl=en&prev=search&rurl=translate.google.com&sl=es&sp=nmt4&u=http://policia.pr.gov/armas/&usg=ALkJrhhU_q8iUWl7Va30RubK-Nx25cdQnw
  9. Was at the DMV yesterday so I inquired about this issue. She confirmed that once I changed the address online for my license it fulfilled the requirements for changing the address for the permit as well. What irritates me is that they have a kiosk setup for doing driver's license stuff (change of address, order duplicate, renew, etc) but in order to do anything with the permit you have to fill out a form and wait in line. All I wanted was a "duplicate" of both my license and permit. I thought it would be worth $13 ($8 for drivers license and $5 for permit, unless I have that backwards) to have the correct address printed on both of them.
  10. Nice! Good for most retailers? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Wow, imagine a gun forum that encourages me to keep what I have instead of buying something more. Oxymoron?
  12. This was another thing I wanted to touch on. I suspect the reasons are mult-ifold, but I too have noticed much, much less interest in my classifieds for sale since switching to the new system. Like I said, like multiple reasons for this, the biggest of which being a political climate by which people aren't panic buying anymore. With that being said, I cannot help but feel the new system has played a part to this.
  13. Wow, I didn't realize that Fitty % was a video production company. I took a look at your website the other day and I am very impressed. Briefly, may I ask what gear you are using for most of the time lapse shots?
  14. I was very excited about going forward to a more in depth classifieds system, but since the majority of users are not embracing it then I don't see it as being worth it. Examples: 1) The "make an offer" function seemed neat. Nobody has ever used it, still sending PM's instead 2) Since a classified ad duplicates as a discussion thread, I had people contacting me weeks after I had marked an ad as sold because they were looking at the discussion thread and never realized it was already sold. End result, a seller has to now mark two separate things (the ad and the discussion thread) as sold 3) The image upload function does not correlate to Tapatalk at all. I suspect it is a permissions issue behind the scenes. Personally, I love Tapatalk because it streamlines all of my forums into one sleek app. 4) Since the new forum software has a certain number of required fields, it makes listing groups of items difficult/impossible and for certain items the selections simply do not make sense. I think most everyone around is so used to the way we were doing things that the old way of doing classifieds would be warmly welcomed. Also, seems like it would be less overall work for you:)
  15. Good video. Admitted you screwed up, which is a good thing to be able to do. Funny as usual. Really like this style of video. Keep them coming. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Had I never tried a Glock 19 I would have still been on a CZ P-01. Not a bad choice by any means but for cost of magazines, accessories coupled with a more simplistic design, I am glad I switched to Glocks! Now, if the PPQ has a better trigger, better ergonomics, and I shoot it as well or better than a Glock, as long as it can be seen as reliable (I think it can) and I am ok with the switch then why not? Would love to find someone on TGO in Cleveland with a PPQ. I'd love to shoot one before buying it!
  17. I officially have a very annoying itch to purchase one of the PPQ's. Now, my first carry gun was a CZ P-O1, that progressed to a Glock 19 and I haven't truly been away from a Glock since. I briefly owned an HK VP9 and loved the ergonomics and shot it quite well, but old it and kept the 19. Mainly looking to see opinions from everyone here. I see the Navy SD version can be purchased for about the same price of a Glock 19: https://www.gunbuyer.com/walther-ppq-m2-9mm-navy-4-6-barrel-15-round-black-2796082-wal2796082-gb.html

  20. Do not confuse momentum with velocity. Your landing was softer because your mass was lower. Momentum = Mass x Velocity
  21. I am no aviation expert but from what I understand the speedometer/speed tracking device looks like it is from a passenger plane? I'm more interested and curious why the "DANGER: EJECTION SEAT & CANOPY" is in English?
  22. True, but I think it would be unwise to assume that America has not, or even does not, do the same.
  23. The difference is that they flew a C-130 over Afghanistan to drop the MOAB. The Tomahawks have a range of around 1,500 miles. Syria has air defenses, much more than Afghanistan.
  24. I have a Gerber 600 that works pretty great. I like the one-handed opening, it comes in handy sometimes. http://amzn.to/2pt8nFC Typically under $50, sometimes can be found for cheaper even.
